BLOOD TIDE/DEATH RAGE SET:
DEATH RAGE(1976)
BLOOD TIDE(1982)
DEATH RAGE(1976):
Kinda bleak movie. Partly because it is such a bad transfer,
partly because it's just plain bleak! Yul Brynner cannot save
this disjointed mess, which is basically a movie about revenge.
It could have been better, but this is a foreign movie re-dubbed
to English I believe. Not really even worth one watch!! (by the
way, in this particular recording of this really dull movie, the
stripper doesn't!!!) D-
From Amazon.com:
Yul Brynner (Westworld) is a mechanic (aka: hitman) who
returns to his profession after years of retirement, in order
to track down and kill his brother's murderer. Along the way
he meets a beautiful stripper and her goofy boyfriend. Said
stripper is the highlight of the movie, as she disrobes entirely
a couple of times! Goodness gracious me! Actually, Yul's no
slouch in his role. He comes across as cool and confident.
The action is minimal and the dialogue gets pretty silly, yet
there's something here that I like. Did I mention the stripper
gal?? Martin Balsam (Psycho, Cape Fear) plays a cop on Yul's
trail. Worth a watch or two... - Bindy Sue Fronkunschtein "bigfootsalienbaby"

Ok, this was a real mind-wack of a movie!! It opens weird,
it closes weird, and throughout the middle, it's strange!!!!
lol Sad to see James Earl Jones in such a terrible movie!
It is quite disjointed! Jumping around a lot. the basic plot
is not all that bad, but it's just not fluid! It's kind of a cross
between action and horror, with a lot of boring in between!
Just not a great movie! D+
From Amazon.com:
Visitors' curiosity while on a Greek island unleashes an ancient
creature upon unsuspecting island goers. This very low-budget
film suffers from poor lighting but has a solid cast (James Earl
Jones, Jose Ferrer, Martin Kove and Oscar-winner Lila Kedrova)
and an intriguing enough premise that it draws you in, even if
it is far from a classic. - "bcacciatore"
