GET SMART MOVIE(2008):

This is much better than I remembered! Steve Carell
does quite good in portraying Max Smart, and Anne
Hathaway's 99, while a little hard to accept at first,
gets better in her role as the movie rolls on. Bill
Murray shows up as agent 13(though he is waaaayyy
underused!! Dwayne Johnson(The Rock) does great
in his roll as an over-the-top agent! The rest of the
cast(especially Masi Oka(Bruce) and Nate Torrence(Lloyd)
fits in nicely and compliments the main crew!!
All-in-all, a fitting tribute to Don Adams and the stars
of the original series!! A-

run, caught it in reruns over the years like I did, or
you are a very recent fan of the series like my 9 year
old son who watches all the seasons and original
movies repeatedly, you will laugh hysterically at
this movie. Just about every agent and character
from the original series is here, from Agent 13 who
gets stuffed in the oddest places to Fang, Max's dog
from season one. The dialog, the gags, and the
characters are pure Get Smart. I do not believe
anyone could have come into Don Adams shoe phone
better than Steve Carell. He perfectly carries off
the almost debonair, yet not as clever as he thinks
he is Agent 86. Anne Hathaway (who looks breathtaking
in black leather) was awesome as Agent 99,
completely playing the seasoned agent to Max's
bumbling. Alan Arkin, Dwayne Johnson, and Terrance
Stamp round out a great cast. I just hope though in
the next movie we see more Hymie, one of my all
time favorite characters. My family and I have been
waiting over a year since the first trailer was shown
for this movie,and it was well worth the wait. We
will be seeing it many times over. - Les K

Again, a much better movie than I expected, especially
for a movie that has the supporting cast as the main cast
here!! Masi Oka and Nate Torrence do a fine job of carrying
this without the help of stars Steve Carell and Anne
Hathaway(though she does show up in a cameo piece!)
As one would expect, not as good as the first, but still
a fun movie! B+

I don't understand why peoples hate this movie. OK
is not a Oscar winning but is not as bad as many others,
say for example Quarantine and by far is not the worst
film. Is entertaining, funny and you don't feel that you
have lost one hour of your life. Problem with peoples
writing about a movie or another is that you can't trust
anybody, good movies listed as sheet and bad movies
(and I mean really bad) commented as hors d'oeuvres.
Let's try not to judge movies about our expectations,
or even if they follow closely or not the action described
in a book. If a movie is entertaining and get you in
the right mood is OK. Don't expect that a movie cook
the meal for you, or change your life, or take your
child to the school. Just to worth seeing and make
you smile, and from time to time finding a real gem.
And don't forget, we need sometime a easy one, not
a Titanic (which by the way didn't like it), just
something to pass the time, or amusing about dumbness
