STAR TREK - THE NEXT GENERATION SEASON 7(1993-1994)
SPACE, THE FINAL FRONTIER! THESE ARE THE VOYAGES
OF THE STARSHIP: ENTERPRISE! IT'S CONTINUING MISSION:
TO EXPLORE STRANGE NEW WORLDS, TO SEEK OUT NEW
LIFE AND NEW CIVILIZATIONS, TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO
ONE HAS GONE BEFORE!!
The seventh and final season of the second incarnation of
Star Trek: TNG, with most of the main cast still here, however
Chief Miles O'Brien, Keiko & Molly have all been transferred
to DS9!! However, returning are not only Wesley Crusher, but
also Nurse Ogawa, Ensign Ro Laren, Alexander Rozhenko,
The Traveler, Tasha Yar and of course the farewell of the
series wouldn't be complete with out Q!!
EPISODE 1: DESCENT II(Sept. 20, 1993):
Continued from the last episode of the sixth season,
I put off watching this last season for three months
just because it's about the F*CK*NG Borg - AGAIN!!
Anyway, with Picard, Geordi & Troi at the mercy of Data
and Lore and the "Hugh" Borg, it becomes necessary for
the valiant trio to figure out how to overcome them!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard,
Counselor Troi, Lt. Commander Data, Dr. Crusher, Commander
Riker, Lt. Commander La Forge & Lt. Worf!! FF-
EPISODE 2: LIAISONS(Sept. 27, 1993):
So, remember the TOS season 3 episode "All Our Yesterdays"
in which Kirk gets sent to an archaic civilization, and Spock
and McCoy get sent to an ice world, and Mariette Hartley
is Hell bent on keeping them there?? Welp, this is a re-hash
of that, with just a few twists here and there!! Picard is
en-route to a planet for some diplomatic work when the shuttle
craft that he and another dude from said planet are on crash
lands when the shuttle experiences some malfunctions! The
other dude doesn't make it and the only inhabitant on the
planet has found Picard and nurses him back to health!! Meanwhile,
back at the ship, two ambassadors from previously mentioned
planet are giving Worf and Troi all they can handle!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Worf,
Commander Riker, Captain Picard, Counselor Troi, Dr.
Crusher, Lt. Commander Data & Lt. Commander La Forge!! A
EPISODE 3: INTERFACE(Oct. 4, 1993):
The Enterprise encounters a distressed ship with all hands
aboard dead!! Geordi is trying a new device that allows him
to be places without physically being there, therefore making
it safer to go to distressed areas more safely! He uses this
device and discovers on the ship his mother who's been
missing for several days along with the ship she was on!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Riker,
Lt. Commander La Forge, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander Data,
Captain Picard & Counselor Troi!!
Conspicuously missing is Lt. Commander Worf!! A
EPISODE 4: GAMBIT PT. I(Oct. 11, 1993):
Several members of the Enterprise beam down to a planet
looking for Captain Picard, incognito, and are told that he'd
been vaporized!! Of course, they want more answers and the
game is afoot!!! The name of the game here is espionage!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Counselor Troi,
Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander Data,
Lt. Commander LaForge & Captain Picard!! A+
EPISODE 5: GAMBIT PT. II(Oct. 18, 1993):
Continuing from the previous episode, the Enterprise is
under attack, from Picard and Riker!!!! This all to try to save
the ship, an outpost and themselves!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Worf, Counselor
Troi, Lt. Commander Data, Captain Picard, Lt. Commander La
Forge, Commander Riker & Dr. Crusher!!
Guest starring in this is Robin Curtis(Star Trek III: The Search
For Spock & Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home), Julie Caitlin
Brown(Babylon 5) & James Worthy(yep, THE James Worthy
of the Las Angeles Lakers!!)!! A
EPISODE 6: PHANTASMS(Oct. 25, 1993):
Interestingly, in the sixth episode of season 6 I had noted that
I found it "silly"!! That's exactly the word that hit me in this
episode too!! Data is having "dreams" about him being pulled
apart, and as an aside plot line, Geordi and Data are trying to
put a new warp engine online, and are having much difficulties!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander La
Forge, Lt. Commander Data, Commander Riker, Captain Picard,
Counselor Troi, Lt. Worf & Dr. Crusher!!
Guest starring here is Sigmund Freud!!(Ok, not really, but a
holographic projection thereof!! B-
EPISODE 7: DARK PAGE(Nov. 1, 1993):
Lwaxana Troi is back, and really the whole episode is
about her!!! She's on an assignment to help a telepathic
community to learn how to communicate with the federation
when, while being transported along with those that she's
trying to help, she falls into a kind of coma!! It all has
to do with memories that she has repressed that the telepaths
have brought out, and she's having trouble dealing with them!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Lt.
Commander La Forge, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Worf,
Commander Riker, Counselor Troi & Dr. Crusher!!
Guest starring here is Majel Barrett(Mrs. Gene Roddenberry,
Star Trek: TOS)!! She does an outstanding job here!!!
This may very well be the saddest episode of any Star Trek
ever made!! A+
EPISODE 8: ATTACHED(Nov. 08, 1993):
Ok, referring back to TOS, think "The Cloud Minders" along
with "A Taste Of Armageddon"! This one has Picard and Crusher
beaming down to a planet for some negotiations leading to
their entry into the Federation!! Welp, they don't end up where
they were suppose to, and Riker and company are scratching
their heads, and trying to find them!! This brings out some long
repressed feelings between Jean Luc and Beverly, as they are
linked through a mind reading device!!
And this, too, is a very good episode!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Captain
Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf & Lt. Commander Data!! A
EPISODE 9: FORCE OF NATURE(Nov. 15, 1993):
A return of Ferengi, this one has them blaming the Federation
for disabling their ship, when the real culprits are another race
who are insisting that the Federation is threatening the existence
of the universe by travelling at warp speeds!! This is the reason
for the regulations making traveling over warp 5 illegal!! I really
think this line was really stupid!! While I believe they were trying
to make a parallel between this and global warming that we are
are now experiencing, I just think they went around it in an
inappropriate manner, and the parallel will be missed by most
of the people who they were aiming this at!!
Starring, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data, Lt.
Commander La Forge, Commander Riker, Captain Picard, Lt.
Worf, Counselor Troi & Dr. Crusher! B+
EPISODE 10: INHERITANCE(Nov. 22, 1993):
This is basically all about Data, and his "mom"!! While helping out
a planet who's having geological trouble threatening their planet,
the Enterprise beams up two scientists, one of whom insists that
she's his mother, through the fact that she was with his maker,
Dr. Soong and even married him!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander La Forge,
Lt. Commander Data, Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf,
Dr. Crusher & Counselor Troi! A
EPISODE 11: PARALLELS(Nov. 29, 1993):
It's Worf's birthday and the crew throw a surprise party for him, which
he detests!! Worse for him, he is experiencing memory loss and dizziness
that Dr. Crusher is trying to find the cause for, which at first appears
to be from an injury from a Bat'leth tournament!! And to make things
worse, he's having hallucinations!! This starts the Worf/Dianna relationship
that I thought was really dumb!! But this was a much better episode than
it sounds!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Worf, Commander Riker,
Counselor Troi, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander La
Forge, Captain Picard, Nurse(Doctor here) Ogawa & Ensign(now Lt.)
Wesley Crusher!! A
EPISODE 12: THE PEGASUS(Jan. 10, 1994):
Will's old commander, who's now an Admiral, comes aboard the
Enterprise with new orders for Picard and the crew!! It seem their
old ship has been commandeered by the Romulans, and their job
is to get it back, or destroy it!! Apparently the Pegasus was conducting
a secret experiment, and the admiral seems to want to find the ship
to re-address that experiment!! A very good episode!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Counselor
Troi, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander
La Forge & Dr. Crusher!! A
EPISODE 13: HOMEWARD(Jan. 17, 1994):
A testing of the Prime Directive, in which Worf's brother has
been on a planet that has it's atmosphere being ripped off of
it!! The result is the eminent death of those that are
left alive there!! Nikolai asks for help in getting the people off
and to safety, but Picard and the crew won't do it because of
said Prime Directive, sentencing them to death!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Lt.
Commander Data, Lt. Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Counselor
Troi, Dr. Crusher & Lt. Commander La Forge!! A
EPISODE 14: SUB ROSA(Jan. 31, 1994):
A story about ghosties!!!!
Dr. Crusher's Grandmother has died and she's on the planet
to take care of final affairs!! And the ghost that has been courting
the gramma is now out after Beverly!! And this is REALLY dumb!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Counselor
Troi, Captain Picard, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander La
Forge, Lt. Worf & Commander Riker! C
EPISODE 15: LOWER DECKS(Feb. 07, 1994):
It's review time for the under-officers and they're all trying extra
hard to impress their commanding officers!! A really good, yet
really sad episode!!
The most honorable that Worf has been portrayed!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Commander Riker, Dianna
Troi, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander La Forge, Captain Picard,
Dr. Crusher, Nurse Ogawa & Lt. Worf!! A+
EPISODE 16: THINE OWN SELF(Feb. 14, 1994):
An interesting episode!! Data is on a planet, and somehow gets
damaged! He makes his way to a settlement much less advanced
than that he's been with and he starts to make friends, and
enemies!!! Oh, and he's carrying some very toxic stuff that starts
killing off people! Kinda Frankensteinish!!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Counselor Troi,
Lt. Commander Data, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Lt. Commander La
Forge & Captain Picard!! A
EPISODE 17: MASKS(Feb. 21, 1994):
Starts out pretty good!! Then digresses horribly!! Especially after
Data becomes the focal point of the episode!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Counselor Troi, Lt. Commander
Data, Commander Riker, Captain Picard, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander La
Forge & Lt. Worf!! A
EPISODE 18: EYE OF THE BEHOLDER(Feb. 28, 1994):
An ensign kills himself, and Deanna and the crew try to make sense
out of it!! It almost seemed like he was communicating with someone,
or something, else!! The culprit begins to affect others aboard the ship!
This also has Worf and Troi pursuing a relationship, again!!!
All in all a very disturbing episode!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data, Captain
Picard, Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Worf, Commander Riker, Counselor
Troi & Dr. Crusher!! A
EPISODE 19: GENESIS(Mar. 21, 1994):
After many episodes of being missing, this has the return of Reginald
Barclay!! Also returning is Nurse Ogawa(now Lt.)! Both she and Data's
cat Spot are pregnant!! And Worf is acting REALLY weird, even for Worf!!
Captain Picard and Data are going out in a shuttle craft to retrieve a
torpedo that has gone rouge!! After a short time, everyone on the
Enterprise seems to be going crazy!(Remind you of anything? Like
perhaps TOS' episode "The Naked Time"??)! This is rather horrorish
and I'm not a big fan of these kind of shows!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Ogawa, Commander Riker,
Lt. Barclay, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Worf, Captain Picard,
Counselor Troi & Lt. Commander La Forge!!! B
EPISODE 20: JOURNEY'S END(Mar. 28, 1994):
Wesley Crusher is back on board the Enterprise for a much
needed vacation, but something doesn't seem right with him!!
This is where he drops the bombshell that he's leaving the Academy
and Starfleet!!
The sub-plot here is about the Enterprise being given the
un-enviable task of moving a group of Native Americans
(here referred to as "Indians") from a planet that they've been
moved to 200 years prier to a new home just because there has
been a treaty with the Cardassians and the planet they are on
are now in Carassian space!! The problem: They don't want to
go!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Dr. Crusher, Ensign
Crusher, Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Commander Data,
Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Counselor Troi & Lt. Worf!!
We also see the return of The Traveler!!
Last appearance of Wesley Crusher! A
EPISODE 21: FIRSTBORN(Apr. 25, 1994):
This is all about Alexander, and what Worf and the rest of his
family want for him!! Being Klingon, no one is asking him what
he wants, telling him about his "duty"!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Worf, Alexander Rozhenko,
Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander
La Forge, Dr. Crusher & Counselor Troi!!
Guest starring here is Armin Shimmerman(Quark)!! Also here are
the Duras sisters, Lursa and B'Etor!
This was a pretty decent episode, but the ending left a lot to
be desired!! B+
EPISODE 22: BLOODLINES(May 02, 1994):
Picard becomes a daddy!! Well, he finds out that an old flame of
his had a son and he appears to be Picard's!! A much better episode
than I remembered!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Captain Picard, Commander
Riker, Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Worf, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander La
Forge & Counselor Troi!! A
EPISODE 23: EMERGENCE(May 09, 1994):
A show about the holodeck and some interesting adventures!!
Seems that the holodeck is taking over the Enterprise as if it
were an entity unto itself!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander Data, Captain
Picard, Dr. Crusher, Lt. Commander La Forge, Commander Riker &
Counselor Troi! B+
EPISODE 24: PREEMPTIVE STRIKE(May 16, 1994):
While en-route to the de-militarized zone, the Enterprise comes upon
a Cardassian ship being attacked - by Federation ships!! It appears to
be the Maquis that is behind it all!! Ro's loyalties are tested to the max
when she is assigned to find out what the Maquis is up to, and help stop
them!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Lt. Commander La Forge,
Lt. Ro(formerly Ensign), Dr. Crusher, Counselor Troi, Captain Picard,
Commander Riker, Lt. Commander Data & Lt. Worf! A
EPISODE 25: ALL GOOD THINGS...(May 23, 1994):
As the series starts, so shall it end!! Q returns to levy his final verdict
on Picard and the crew!! And this continues, again, Worf and Deanna's
little trist!! If not for this, this would garner a solid A from me!!
This episode has, in order of appearance: Counselor Troi, Lt. Worf,
Captain Picard, Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Yar, Dr. Crusher, Nurse
Ogawa, Commander Riker, Lt. Commander Data & Chief O'Brien!!
Also here is Andreas Katsulas(Babylon 5)!!
It was nice in this last episode to have most of the crew in it!
They even found a way to bring in Lt. Tasha Yar! Only missing
here are Lt. Barclay, Guinan(who wasn't part of this season at
all), Lt. Ro, Alexander & Ensign Wesley Crusher! A-

From an IMDb.com customer:
This show continues the excellence provided by the
original Star Trek. Set some 75 years after Kirk's adventures,
The Next Generation was an excellent show and provided
state-of-the-art special effects. I recommend it to any science
fiction fan. - mattkratz
