10 MOVIE FAMILY PACK MOVIE PAGE

10 MOVIE FAMILY PACK SET

10 movies, mostly by Hallmark, that would be classified as
"woman's movies"! Most are pretty good!

But, as with a lot of these movie sets, there is no closed casptioning!!
BOOOOOOO!!!

BAKER'S HAWK(1976)

Some really fine actors in this! Clint Walker(TVs Cheyenne),
Burl Ives(TVs Alias Smith and Jones, The Bold Ones) and Alan
Young(The original Time Machine, TVs Mr. Ed) all put in a great
performance in this movie about a town that doesn't know the
meaning of sharing!

It of course goes pretty much as you would expect from a Hallmark
movie, very preachy and moralistic! Not a great movie, but worth
a watch once! C+

From Amazon.com

Really fine family movie. Good story, beautiful scenery. It's
wonderful to watch fine actors like Clint Walker & Burl Ives
ply their craft. This is a keeper that I'll watch many
times. - Carolyn J. Wlasic

LITTLE GIRL LOST(1988):

About a foster family who's losing their foster girl back to her
real father who the girl appears to be very scared of! This is
a very typical Hallmark movie that is very preachy!! The acting
is not the greatest, and it is quite typical of attitudes prevailing
in the Hallmark world! C

A review from Amazon.com:

This is one of my favorite movies. The acting is great and the plot

FOLLOWING HER HEART(1994):

Not bad! Basically about a woman who has been abused by her
husband for her entire life learning to take control of her life!
Ann-Margret does well in this, but the real stars are all the people
she meets after her husband dies!! The film starts out slow, but
really picks up after the first 20-30 minutes!! B-

A review from the back of the DVD:

This is one of my favorite movies. Ann-Margret did such great
job of showing how a woman can move beyond an abuse situation
and become the person that she knew she always wanted to be.
In the process finding someone to really love and care about her. - Gigi

HIDDEN IN SILENCE(1996):

I do not like movies about war! I especially don't like movies about
the holocost!!! This deals with both! I didn't finish the movie! No Grade!

A review from Amazon:

I'd been waiting a long time to see this movie again - a true story.
It's just as riveting now, as when I first saw it. Highly recommend it,
no matter how many WWII movies you've seen. It's "justice and
compassion at it's finest". -

Marion Ross ... Mrs. Diamant
Jan Nemejovský ... Mr. Diamant
David Nykl ... Henek

THE INHERITANCE,(1997):

This is a good movie! A bit slow though! It's about a girl who has
been adopted by very well off people who goes through many trials
caused by love, devotion and deceit! It of course ends as one would
expect, but still it's very entertaining, and quite beautifully done!

Especially well done acting here by Tom Conti, Cari Shayne, Thomas
Gibson and Brigitta Dau! Well worth a watch! B

A review from Amazon.com:

If you don't take this movie too seriously, it is a fun watch. Some
of the "dramatic" effects are amusing (i.e. slow motion bouncing
cherry tomatoes signifying the heroine meeting the hero for the
first time). If you are expecting a top-rate dramatic BBC production,
you'll probably be a bit disappointed, Pride and Prejudice it is not. - NothinDoing

Cast of The Inheritance:

Cari Shayne ... Edith Adelon
Brigitta Dau ... Amy Hamilton
Paul Anthony Stewart ... Frederick Arlington
Brigid Brannagh ... Ida Glenshaw
Michael Gallagher ... Louis
Max Gail ... Arliss Johnson

Meredith Baxter ... Beatrice Hamilton
Alicia Bergman ... Emma
Michelle Davison ... Cook
Henry G. Sanders ... Blacksmith (as Henry Sanders)
Paul Bartel ... Doctor
Rob Nilsson ... Minister

FIELDER'S CHOICE(2005):

Much better than I expected! Still, easy to tell that it's a Hallmark
movie! Chad Lowe(Rob's younger brother) plays this well, as does
Kesun Loder! And the dog's not bad either!
As an added treat, this has Charles Napier(From TVs original Star
Trek episode "The Way To Eden") here as "Taco Bob"! B-

A review from Amazon.com:

A decent drama from hallmark. Chad lowe plays a very self
centered man thrown a curve in life that makes him have a
choice to make. I can recommend this movie for the whole
family. He is put in charge of his nephew who in turns teaches
him that there is more to life than a career and himself. - Michelle Polk

Cast of Fielder's Choice:

ORDINARY MIRACLES(2005):

Short synopsis: A judge takes in a homeless girl who resents the
world! Jaclyn Smith(One of TVs Charlie's Angels) does a very good
job here, along with Lyndsy Fonseca and Corbin Bernsen(TVs Psych)

The movie goes along the way you would expect a Hallmark movie
would go, still worth a watch! B-

A review from Amazon.com:

Ordinary Miracles" was a great family film about how one person
can make a difference in someone else's life by being courageous
enough to go against popular opinion and to do what is right. It also
gives powerful insight as to why some people act rebellious; it
teaches that sometimes we need to learn to be able to see through
the rough exterior and look into the heart. I recommend this film
for young and old alike. "Ordinary Miracles" also proves that a great
film doesn't have to contain profanity to be good.

Corbin Bernsen ... David Woodbury
Erik Eidem ... Pete Smalling

Lon Sunders ... Baliff
John Bishop ... Tom, Mr. Jensen
Mary K. DeVault ... Mrs. Jensen (as Mary Kowalski)

THICKER THAN WATER(2005):

What a great movie!! No hints on what it's about here, as it really
should be watched by all! Melissa Gilbert(Little House On The Prairie)
and Lindsay Wagoner(TVs The Bionic Woman) put in really great
performances, as does Linda Newton and Brian Wimmer! A

A review from Amazon.com:

A very good family movie. I loved Lindsay Wagoner and Melissa
Gilbert but the other gal in the movie (her name escapes me) was
also terrific and believable. I appreciate a movie with no violence,
bad language, or sex content. To some that means a boring movie.
Thicker Than Water had several messages to get across and did that
without all the hipe. Great movie!

WHERE THERE'S A WILL(2006):

One of the better movies in this set, it's about a young man who
is in deep dept and decides to go to his grandmother's to scope
out whether or not he can scam some money out of her to pay
his debtor off! This is a very good movie, with Marion Ross carrying
most of the load, and Frank Whaley doing a decent job! B

A review from Amazon.com:

Marion Ross is wonderful in this movie, as is Frank Whaley. A warm and
caring movie. - P. Ortega

David Bowe ... Reverend Stevens

UNCROSS THE STARS(2008):

This is very well acted! The story is very good! The music is appropriate.
And there are several very good actors(mostly unknown) in it! Just the
right amount of humor(mostly with the old gals!), and definitely worth
a watch!

Ron Perlman(Hellboy and Hellboy II) and Barbara Hershey(TVs Once
Upon a Time) were stellar! And Daniel Gillies was very good as the
lead! B

A review from Amazon.com:

This is such a wonderful story about love and loss. The young widower
goes to visit his aunt after his wife's death, and her friends teach him
about life. Ron Perlman is the former beau of his aunt and both he and
Barbara Hershey as the aunt are wonderful. - mattalex
