5 "action" movies, all of them are 'B' movies or worse!
CON GAMES(2001):
doesn't really change my opinion any! A senator's grandson
gets killed in prison and he, along with several authoritative
people, approach another dude to go to prison and try
to find out what's going on! In return they promise to
free his father who's in prison for murder(which he
insists he didn't do!). Pretty predictable movie, very
bad acting and poor sound quality make this tough
to get through!! However, the ending is pretty
satisfying! A small amount of nudity here! C+
From a reviewer from IMDb.com:
Eric Roberts "stars" in this Tommy Lee Thomas debut
prison film. He plays the leader of a corrupt ring of
guards. Though evil by most people's standards, his
character is the kind of guy who is nice enough to give
you supporting wires while you hang chained to the
ceiling as he tortures you with "Lethal Weapon"
electric prods.
The movie has an intricate plot about prison corruption
that makes absolutely no sense. Thomas has Clint
Eastwood's squinter eyes, Dolph Lundgren's one-liners,
the acting abilities of JCVD and the body of the tiniest
guy you knew in school who took steroids after graduation.
Martin "Cobra Kai" Kove's career shares this low point
with Roberts, in the film it is difficult to tell if Kove's
character is supposed to be drunk for the entire movie
or if Kove just came that way. I couldn't blame him
if he did.
Fortunately for all involved, this movie has a "so bad
that it's good" quality that can be fun IF YOU HAVE
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BETTER TO DO. - dkeizer05

Japanese movie about a woman taking revenge as
This is in Japanese and has subtitles that have to
be read to know what the hell's going on!! Also,
the credits are in Japanese so there is not really
a very good listing of the credits!!
This, too, like the last movie, has a small amount
of nudity! C+
From a reviewer from IMDb.com:
The basic story is that the daughter of a slain Osaka
mafia member seeks revenge on the people that killed
her father. She uses a sword to track them down and
kill them.
My father sent this to me as a gift but I don't know if
I'd recommend this even if you got it for free. Definitely
not worth a rental unless you're into bad acting and bad
martial arts.
None of the actors really does any good in this movie.
The main character, played by Yu Misaki, is wooden
and obviously cast to get a pretty face on the cover.
Her only credits are some fashion awards. The only
actor worth anything is the cafe owner, played by
Kenji Ohba. He has some decent action scenes and
the only decent acting in the film.
Another member commented that the ending ruined
it, but I don't think it deviates at all from the quality
of the rest of the film. Bad script, mostly bad acting,
poor action, and terrible direction. Don't
bother. - holdeninmask

What do you expect from a Steven Seagal movie? Action,
Just as an advisory, there is a short amount of nudity
in this, but not much! B
From a reviewer from IMDb.com:
Not been able to see a preview before I saw this made
me a little worried, but I thought, what the hell? Seagal
rules. I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. The
only flaw was that at times I couldn't understand Seagal.
It also appeared as if he did most/all of his fighting and
that was nice. It was a pretty good story. It's was your
standard revenge flick. It's nice to see Seagal go after
bad guys that messed with his family. It was like Urban
Justice in a way. I was glad it wasn't that European
package crap or conspiracy from the early 90's or 2000's.
This was way better than Kill Switch and of course
that vampire crap. But not as good as Pistol
Whipped. - rockdalecop

Four dudes are hired to take out some drug
Also, as the reviewer below says, this has David
Carradine and Michael Madson, but only in very
short but integral parts!
There are a few bright moments(Katie), but they
are few and far between! Not really a movie that
needs to be seen, but if you do start watching it,
stick with it and watch it to the end!!! B
From a reviewer from IMDb.com:
I liked this film not b/c it had spectacular
action sequences but b/c it was a thinking
man's action film, it had heart, it had characters
that had a past and had something to say.
You don't usually see that with Hollywood
films in particular action films. So it was
quite refreshing specially that you don't
expect it. But I must say that I was a bit
disappointed that Carradine and Madsen's
time on screen was limited but I think
others did a really good job carrying the
film. However, the production value at
times was weak, you could see that it
had been made on a shoe-string budget.
It was definitely an indie film and it
showed but I like low budget indie films.
The film worked for me and left an
impression. If you don't like dialog this
film is not for you. - Paul P

A man comes home to find his wife and son killed
The start of this is almost unintelligible, no
matter how loud the volume! The lead actor(?),
Cristos, is very stiff, and even after his son
and wife are killed, shows almost no emotion!
The cops actually don't do a bad job! Not one
that I'll probably ever watch again!! C-
From a reviewer from IMDb.com:
Martial Arts champion Christos who looks
remarkably like the man who married my niece
without the tattoos stars in Tunnel Vision playing
a former gang banger and convicted murderer
who just wants to settle down with wife Leslie
Mills and their young son. He's all over the violent
way he lived before. But when he's injured and
the wife and young son are killed he's all about
justice and retribution.
Something he spots on a passing stranger makes
him hold him for the cops and Scott Haze is put
on trial. Unfortunately justice is denied, but
Christos knows he has the right guy. He and
lady detective Ion Overman keep up the pursuit,
she more reluctantly as she has a job at stake.
But you know this isn't a first time for this guy.
Great martial artist that he is Christos is no
actor. The cinematography and the sound are
below par. I'd pass this by. - bkoganbing
