BLACK CAT 1 & 2 MOVIE PAGE

There are 4 episodes on each of these discs!
Unfortunately I only have the first two discs!!
I might have to buy the rest of these, as now
I've invested a couple of hours in watching these!!
The review for this will be at the end of all the
episodes, as I can't find any for the separate
ones!

BLACK CAT #1(2005)

SET 1:

EPISODE 1: THE SOLITARY CAT(2005)

As an intro to the series, this really isn't well
done, as it doesn't explain who the main character
is, but it does kind of tell who Black Cat is!!
Still, it looks promising, and the anime is
well done! A note here, this is done with English
dubbing, but if you turn on captioning, the
two don't mesh very well! I believe that the
captioning is probably closer to what was
really being said on this! I would suggest to
either have captioning on with no volume,
or volume up with no captioning! B

A review from IMDb.com:

This anime follows bounty hunter Sven Vollfied who
finds himself protecting Eve; she may look like an
ordinary girl but she is in fact a weapon that uses
nanotechnology who is being hunter by the Chronos
Organisation. Train Heartnet, better known as 'Black
Cat' is one of Chronos' elite assassins; he is meant
to be hunting Eve but eventually ends up protecting
her alongside Sven. Soon they are forced to confront
another former member of Chronos; Creed Diskenth.
He has created a rival organisation and plans to take
over the world.

This shonen series is entertaining enough with a
decent mix of action and humour although it will
never be a classic… it is the sort of series that is
fun enough while you watch it but I suspect most
details will be forgotten shortly after finishing it.
The plot is fairly standard as our protagonists
confront various cliché antagonists. The main
story involving Creed ends with four episodes
to go and a new problem arises; it feels as though
the makers created a twenty episode series and
just as they finished they were told four more
episodes were needed which leads to a somewhat
disjointed ending. For all these criticisms I still
think this is worth watching as it is never boring,
there are plenty of great moments.

These comments are based on watching the
series in Japanese with English subtitles. - Tweekums
