INSPECTOR GADGET SEASON 1 VOL. 1

EPISODE 1: GADGET IN WONDERLAND
aka WINTER OLYMPICS(PILOT)(Sept. 12, 1983):

This first episode, also the pilot, introduces all the
main characters that show up throughout this series:
Inspector Gadget, Penny, Brain, Chief Quinby and Dr.
Claw!!

A farce on a farce, this is really a take off of Don Adams'
wonderful series Get Smart, along with making fun of
the James Bond movies!!

Inspector Gadget is, of course, an Inspector with, well,
we never know what!! He has numerous gadgets that
he uses to "capture" villains! But we all know that the
real detectives here are Penny and Brain, who do 90%
of the bad guy catching!!

This episode is about Dr. Claw sending a yodeler(yep, yodeler)
to the Winter Olympics to disrupt the festivities!! Not
only a yodeler, but several other bumbling dudes!! B

EPISODE 2: MONSTER LAKE(Sept. 13, 1983):

A professor is doing research on the Loch Ness
monster and Gadget is to protect him from Claw!! B

EPISODE 3: DOWN ON THE FARM(Sept. 14, 1983):

Gadget's new assignment is to go to a farm where it's
believed that Dr. Claw is hiding a missile that he stole!! B

EPISODE 4: GADGET AT THE CIRCUS(Sept. 15, 1983):

Dr. Claw and his cronies are using a circus as a cover to
do their dirty deeds, and Inspector Gadget is assigned to
blow his cover and bring him to justice!!! B

EPISODE 5: THE AMAZON(Sept. 16, 1983):

Dr. Claw is planning to kidnap Professor Von Slicksein
and Gadget has to try and stop him!! B

EPISODE 6: HEALTH SPA(Sept. 19, 1983):

The good inspector wins a week at a health club, and
his boss insists he takes it up!! Little knowing that the
place is run by Dr. Claw and that he's stashed a butt-
load of jewels there! B

EPISODE 7: THE BOAT(Sept. 20, 1983):

The chief is sending Gadget on a luxury cruise!! But
he'll be working, trying to keep Claw from stealing all
the valuables that will be on board!! B

EPISODE 8: HAUNTED CASTLE(Sept. 21, 1983):

There's to be a meeting of a bunch of law enforcement
people, and it's being held just below what use to be
Count Dracula's castle!! Gadget's mission: find out what's
going on in the strange castle and protect the meeting!! B

EPISODE 9: RACE TO THE FINISH(Sept. 22, 1983):

'Tis the week for the big Metropolis 500 and Gadget has
been instructed to enter the race to keep Dr. Claw from
winning it!! B

EPISODE 10: THE RUBY(Sept. 23, 1983):

Gadget's sent to India to recover the "famous" Big Red, an
Indian ruby that's been stolen by Dr. Claw for a super laser
that he plans to use to destroy communications satellites!! B

EPISODE 11: A STAR IS LOST(Sept. 26, 1983):

Rock star Rick Rocker is being threatened by Claw, and
Gadget is assigned to protect him!! B

EPISODE 12: ALL THAT GLITTERS(Sept. 27, 1983):

A city of gold is discovered and Gadget is assigned to
protect it from Dr. Claw!! B

EPISODE 13: MOVIE SET(Sept. 28, 1983):

Gadget is asked to look into a movie that's starring his
heartthrob, Lana LaMour!! Problem is, she's a M.A.D.
agent, but Gadget doesn't believe it!! And the real reason
for the movie is to get pictures of a military installation!! B

EPISODE 14: AMUSEMENT PARK(Sept. 29, 1983):

M.A.D. has hidden a bomb in the amusement park and
Gadget needs to find it and stop any destruction!! B

EPISODE 15: ART HEIST(Sept. 30, 1983):

Gadget's mission is to go to the Museum Of Modern
Art and stop Dr. Claw from stealing the art there!! B

EPISODE 16: VOLCANO ISLAND
(GADGET GOES HAWAIIAN)(Oct. 3, 1983):

The group are on an island(presumably Hawaii) for a
vacation and of course Claw is there too, planning to
make it his base for a missile base!! Gadgets mission:
stop Claw!! Some cool scenery here!!! B+

EPISODE 17: THE INVASION(Oct. 4, 1983):

Claw is setting up a phoney alien invasion to be able to
rob and loot, and Gadget's put on the job to stop him!! B

EPISODE 18: THE INFILTRATION(Oct. 5, 1983):

Dr. Claw plans to kidnap Gadget, and he's got a magician,
Presto, to take his place at the policeman's conference!!
That way Claw can find out what the newest plans are for
stopping him!! B

EPISODE 19: THE CURSE OF THE PHARAOH
(POOT-A-TOOT'S CURSE)(Oct. 6, 1983):
(An interesting side-note here: the DVD has the name of
this wrong!!! They have it as Poot-Ta-Foot!!! LOL!!)

Gadget, Penny and Brain are in Egypt and so is Dr. Claw!!!
Claw's there to steal the newly found artifacts, and Gadget
gets his mission to stop him! B

EPISODE 20: M.A.D. TRAP(Oct. 7, 1983):

It's been a slow few weeks as far as crime goes!! That's
because Claw has hatched a plan where-in he lures Gadget
into a trap to eliminate him for good!! B

EPISODE 21: BASIC TRAINING(Oct. 10, 1983):

Gadget, Penny and Brain are on a train, and the Chief
tells Gadget that the train is carrying top secret computers
and the Claw has vowed to steal them!! His mission: to
stop Claw!! B

EPISODE 22: SLEEPING GAS(Oct. 11, 1983):

Claw is on a Boa Boa island making sleeping gas and Gadget
is assigned to stop him!!! B

This was a hilarious cartoon and remains a classic series like
Transformers. Perhaps the brilliance of the show is how
Inspector Gadget's niece does most of the work and Gadget
himself just stumbles onto it. Don Adams was a great choice
to voice the title character. Anyone whose seen Get Smart
