MADAGASCAR(2005)
Wonderful movie about animals in a zoo that go on
escapade to Africa, discovering that the wild is not necessarily
the place to be!!!
Not only a wonderful movie, with great actors(David
Schwimmer, Ben Stiller. Chris Rock!!), but one of the
best songs ever recorded, Wonderful World, by the
great Sachmo, Louis Armstrong!! A
A review from IMDb.com:
I took my 8 yr old daughter and a friend of hers to see
the movie last weekend. We had a blast. The humor is
one of Dreamworks best. It was sutle enough on some
of the jokes that the younger kids did not catch on but
you could hear the adults chuckling.
My personal favorite was Melmen. He was very funny
and I think that everyone can relate to knowing someone
like that. (Sick all the time)
I would not recommend kids under the age of 6 to see
it though. Their where quite a few little ones in the theater
and all you heard was "what are they doing now? Why are
people laughing?" etc.
A lot of fun and a lot of laughs. We will definitely own this
when it comes out on DVD. - larimeramy

Another wonderful movie about animals in a zoo that
go on an escapade to Africa, discovering again that the
wild is not necessarily the place to be!!!
Starting out basically where the first one left off, in the
beginning, it shows how Alex ended up in the New York
Zoo! It then skips forward to where the guys all are now,
with them trying again to get off of Madagascar in the
wrecked plane that was crashed in the trees!
This adds a couple of more great actors, Alec Baldwin
(Makunga) and Bernie Mack(Zuba) to the group! Also
here is Will.i.am(Moto Moto)!
Again, a very fun movie worth watching!!! A
A review from IMDb.com:
Well, so far "Madagascar" is two-for-two in the laughs
department. This is just as good, if not better, than the
first film.
It's another good example of the "new" (last 10 years) kind
of animated feature film that adults can enjoy just as much
as the kids. In some cases, perhaps like this one, adults would
laugh even more because many of the gags might over the kids'
heads. I'm not talking sexual innuendos, just references to things
older people could recognize.
It isn't just the writing that is excellent; the artwork is
spectacular, especially on Blu-Ray. The colors and the
detail are just amazing! More than once, my jaw dropped
at what I was seeing on the TV screen. Like the first Madagascar,
the high-def images are truly spectacular.
The combination of humor, drama, family and friendship
ties and romance all make this a wonderful animated movie
and the 90 minutes zip by. - ccthemovieman-1

Strictly speaking, not really Madagascar 3, but more like
2.5!! However, it is still part of the series of movies and
a lot of fun!
This one finds our friends, as well as King Julien, being
"attacked" by non-other than Santa himself!! (Or so Julien
says!) They proceed to shoot him our of the sky, sleigh,
reindeer and all, and end up having to make the rounds
for Santa!! A
There's a special on this called "Dream Works Animation
Video Jukebox" which has several video's from different
Dream Works animated movies:
From: Songs:
Shreck I'm A Believer
Over The Hedge Rockin' The Hedge
Madagascar I Like To Move It
Kung Fu Panda Kung Fu Fighting
Bee Movie Here Comes The Sun
A review from IMDb.com:
I'm not a big fan of Dreamworks movies (the poor man's
Pixar) but nevertheless I love the Madagascar work. I bought
this from my local supermarket (exclusively they claimed)
expecting it to be a poor quality version of the movies, probably
with bad animation and replacement voice talent. Hey, I
thought, my 12 year old will still like it. I was wrong: this is
beautifully animated to the quality of the movies, has all
the original actors and is FUNNIER than the movies too.
There's a joke involving penguins and reindeer that had
we three in hysterics, perfect! This is only 26 minutes long
but well worth it and a valid addition to the Madagascar
movies. It could in fact be Madagascar 3 such is the
quality. - Phil White

This starts out REALLY SLOW!! I thought that this was the
end for our intrepid group, as I really had to force myself
to keep watching! The "villainess" was WAY too overbearing
for me, and this could have been just fine without her! That
being said, the mix of the zoo group with the circus animals
came out really good!! I just think this would have been a
lot better without DuBois!! A-
A review from IMDb.com:
Whoever said watching a movie in 3D is the same as watching
it in 2D, got it all wrong. Madagascar 3 has amazing 3D effects
which will really make you experience the movie in a different
way. From the beginning till the end, you will get into fits of
laughter and the animals will keep you entertained. The overall
plot of the movie is good but what really steal the show are the
new Italian circus animals and their Italian accent. I always felt
that the real hero's of this smart Penguins and Marti, the Lion,
is only a pseudo hero.
What I didn't like about this movie was the unrealistic villain
and her super human abilities, although funny, but at some
point you will feel it was too much. But I can bet you won't
notice the small things with the crazy animals making you LOL
through out.
My suggestion: Don't miss this one, and watch it in 3D. - pranav_2001
