All four of the Shrek movies, up to 2015!
The first three movies are all in a set called The Shrek Trilogy, while
the fourth one is a stand alone!!
THE SHREK TRILOGY
SHREK(2001)
While this starts out a little slow, it really picks up
speed, and really ends up a great movie!!
I'm not a huge fan of Mike Meyers, nor, for that
matter, most of Eddie Murphy's recent stuff, but
in this one, while Eddie steals the show, he is
wonderful here! And as for Mike, he too is much
more acceptable in this!! And Cameron does
a great job as Fiona!! A really fun movie!
One more little tid-bit, at the end of the movie,
there is a pretty cool, um, special! Watch through
the credits, it's worth it!!! A
A review from IMDb.com:
I love this movie, it's funny, clever, entertaining
and fun for the whole family, but another thing
i love about it is the message it leaves for the
viewers as well, as unlike many Disney movies,
in Shrek you can look and smell like an ugly ogre
and still find your true love.
This movie may be one of my favorite animated
movies out there and i would highly recommend
watching it if you already haven't.
The only thing i dislike about this movie is the
duration, at only 90 minutes, though not too short
compared to other animated movies, it still left me
wanting more. Luckely for me and others who felt
just the same, there are several sequels out there
so there's more to go. - Kristoffer Osnes

The second of the four Shrek movies, this one
is a little weaker than the first, though it does have
the added talents of the wonderful Julie Andrews
(Mary Poppins, Sound Of Music) and John Cleese
(A Fish Called Wanda), who play the Queen and King
(Fiona's mom and pop!) who are less than pleased
about her marriage to Shrek!! Also this introduces
another new character, Puss In Boots, played by
Antonio Banderas, and probably the best character
in this movie!! While still a good movie, with a great
endeing, this one is just a little slower paced than
the first one!!
Again, at the end of the credits, there is a special,
that shouldn't be missed!!! B+
A review from IMDb.com:
The first time I watched this movie was in my
living room with my husband, daughter, and mom.
We all laughed so hard we had to watch it again
to see what we missed (which turned out to be a
lot!). Antonio as Puss was genius! As was Jennifer
Saunders as the fairy godmother. Kudos to the
casting director. Once again Eddie Murphy as the
annoying and talkative donkey was perfect and
even much more lovable. And Mike Myers as Shrek,
what can I say? A perfect grumpy ogre. Cameron
Diaz once again lets her personality shine through
even in animation. Oh, and Rupert! With that voice
being the narcissistic Prince Charming. I could go
on and on about the characters in this movie but
instead I implore you to watch it for yourself. I
loved this movie as did my entire family. The jokes
in this movie were absolutely delicious! For those
naysayers who hated this movie, I say go buy a
sense of humor! - nowmann

The third Shrek, this really takes a step back!! If the
second one was slower, this is a snail!! Too bad, I
think the story had merit, just not a good execution!
Still, a few good laughs, but don't expect the same
as the first one! B
A review from IMDb.com:
This is defiantly the weakest in the franchise, but I still
enjoyed it, The Characters are likable, The Animation is
great, I know some people didn't care for the jokes but
some of it actually works, I kinda liked the humor, and
I enjoyed the story. My flaws with this film, some of the
jokes could've been better, the story could've a little
better, and also why did Prince Charming have to be
Villain I mean seriously come on!!!!! Overall though
with all that said i still had a fun time with Shrek The
Third. Overall I give Shrek the third a nice and solid
7/10 Also I thought the ending was cute and I liked
the baby ogres in this film and I thought they were
really cute and funny as well - connorjm-98771

The last of the series, in this one it's been a year(it's the kid's
birthday) and Shrek is starting to wonder if he's made a mistake
by becoming domesticated!!! Call it a mid-life crises!
Rumpelstiltskin has been carrying a grudge for as long, because
Shrek saved Fiona just before he was going to get the King
and Queen to sign a deal that would give him the deed for
Far Far Away for saving Fiona himself!! So, Shrek and Fiona
have a tiff, and Rumpelstitlskin seizes the opportunity to
make a deal with Shrek to turn things back to the way they
were!! Insanity ensues!!
Even the music is better here, with several really good songs!
Much MUCH better than the last one, this is a fitting end to
the series---- but is it really the end???? LOL A-
A review from IMDb.com:
Beautiful story, told brilliantly.
I saw the first movie years ago, but hadn't followed the series.
This is even better than the original.
Everything about it hits the mark. Pace, character, humour,
setbacks, tension. If there's a standout it's the hilarious Puss
in Boots.
A few tiny reservations. Animation for the dance scenes could
be even better - the witches rave is an awesome idea and
should blow the roof off. Overall there should have been some
darker touches in the music selection. About halfway through
the tension slacks off a nudge, I think because it feels like the
Kiss is inevitable - but they pile on the trouble after that and
nothing is certain. - begob
