BATMAN - THE ANIMATED SERIES TV SERIES V. 3(1992):
The best of the animated Batman series', this has
probably the greatest collection of voice actors to
ever grace an animated show! And the stories are
all really engrossing!!
These sets are NOT in chronological order!!! In fact,
this set really jumps around!! So if you want to watch
them in order, I've put the air dates on them so you
can jump around and watch them that way!!
As for the actors, Kevin Conroy is the best ever voice
actor for Batman, ever(IMHO)!! Also great here is Bob
Hastings as Commissioner Gordon, Efram Zimbalist Jr.
as Alfred & Loren Lester as Robin!
DISC 1:
EPISODE 1: SHADOW OF THE BAT - PART 1(Sept. 13, 1993):
The kingpin of Gotham crime himself, Rupert Thorne, shows
up on a job at a warehouse! He retaliates by implicating
Commissioner Gordon in a bribery scam!! Of course this
gets Barbara and Bruce Wayne into action to find out the
truth!!
And this has Batgril(Barbara), dressed up as Batman to try
and help out the cause!! This was her first appearance in this
series! Also here is Two Face!!
Guest starring Richard Moll as Two Face! A+
EPISODE 2: SHADOW OF THE BAT - PART 2(Sept. 14, 1993):
Continuing from the previous episode, Batgirl screws up
Batman and Robin's plans to find out who's behind the
frame up of Gordon!! But soon she proves to be a help!! A
EPISODE 3: BLIND AS A BAT(Feb. 22, 1993):
While showing off a new weapon for the defense department,
The Penguin steals it!! To make things worse, Bruce gets injured,
and he becomes blind!!

Paul Williams as The Penguin!! Also here is John de Lancie
(Star Trek: TNG, DS9 & VOY!!)!! A
EPISODE 4: THE DEMON'S QUEST - PART 1(May 3, 1993):
Robin is abducted and a note is sent directly to Batman!!
Also, Ra's Al Ghul shows up in the Batcave because
his daughter has also been abducted!! He's gone to Batman
to procure his help in getting both of them back!!
Later on, the truth comes and this turns to being rather
funny!! Only if you've already watched the series Arrow,
as in this Al Ghul says that he's dying and wants a successor,
and that would be Batman!!(In Arrow, Al Ghul approaches
Arrow for the same reason!!)!
Guest starring in this one is David Warner(Star Trek VI: The
Undiscovered Country, Star Trek: TNG episodes "Chain Of
Command" Pt. 1 & 2, Babylon 5 episode "Grail")! A
EPISODE 5: THE DEMON'S QUEST - PART 2(May 4, 1993):

by a force unknown!! Very strong charge of electricity from a man
who dresses up as Zues and believes himself to be him!! In reality
he stole a device from the Army that gives him electrical powers!! B+
DISC 2:
EPISODE 8: READ MY LIPS(May 10, 1993):
The nights receipts are stolen by three dudes that have
planned the whole thing very well indeed!! Their leader,
Scarface, is bound to "own the whole town"!! The twist here:
Scarface is a dummy! No, I mean it, a real dummy, with the
real genius a skinny dude who's operating it!! This would
have a higher rating from me 'cept the stupid dummy
twist!! B+
EPISODE 9: THE WORRY MEN(Sept. 16, 1993):
A socialite returns from the jungle and brings back several
"worry men", dolls that are suppose to take away ones worries
when you put it under your pillow and sleep on it!! Strangely
enough, everyone that she gave the dolls to are now suddenly
losing a bunch of money from their businesses!! It also seems
that there's some dudes running around looking like natives
from the jungle, and it appears they have a lot to do with all
of this!! And the mastermind: The Mad Hatter!
This one guest stars La Var Burton(Roots,Star Trek: TNG),
Roddy McDowell(Planet Of The Apes movies and TV series) and
Marilu Henner(Taxi)! A

to a special prison just for him!! Batman was on the train
undercover just to make sure he made it, and during the
fight, they both fall off the train in a desolate area that
takes them to the home of some former circus performers
who take in Crock as one of their own! Sadly, he only thinks
of himself!!
Guest starring Brad Garret(Everybody Loves Raymond)! A
EPISODE 11: A BULLET FOR BULLOCK(Sept. 14, 1995):
It appears someone's really got it out for Harvey Bullock
and he must really be scared because he's gone to Batman
for help!
This is the second to last episode of the series!! Still not sure
why the Hell they didn't show these in order!!!!! A-
EPISODE 12: TRIAL(May 16, 1994):
The inmates at Arkham take over the place, and they put
Batman on trial!!
This has a who's who of voice actors in it: Mark Hamill(The
Joker), Richard Moll(Two-Face) & Roddy McDowell(Mad Hatter)!
Also here is Stephanie Zimbalist(Remington Steele)(as Janet
Van Dorn)!! We also see Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy & Killer
Croc!! Seen here, but not heard is The Riddler! Only one of
the biggies is missing here, namely The Penguin!! A-
EPISODE 13: AVATAR(May 9, 1994):
This brings back Ra's Al Ghul and his daughter, and Batman

Country) & Helen Slater(Supergirl)!! Also here is the great Nichelle
Nichols(Lt. Uhura in Star Trek: TOS & movies I through VI) & Brock

ways to have a good time!!

Peter Scolari(Bosom Buddies, That Thing You Do) guests as The
Shark!!! A
EPISODE 16: HARLEQUINADE(May 23, 1994):
The Joker's stolen a stolen bomb, a REALLY big bomb! And he's
kidnapped the mayor on top of it all!! And Batman's gone to
Harley for help!!
Returning again as the Joker is Mark Hamill(Star Wars)!! A-
EPISODE 17: TIME OUT OF JOINT(Oct. 8, 1994):
This has a different opening, and it now says Batman and Robin!!

know is that this is a trap set up by "Scarface"!!
Guest starring Adrianne Barbeau(Maude, Star Trek: DS9
episode "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges", Babylon 5 episode
"Spider In The Web")!! A+
EPISODE 19: BANE(Sept. 10, 1994):
Another "Batman and Robin" episode, in this one they meet up with
Bane, a REALLY big dude that's hired by Thorne to get rid of Batman!!
To accomplish his goal, he goes after Killer Croc who has broken out
of jail and he figures that Batman and Robin will go after him!!
What makes Bane so large, you ask, he has a chemical that's pumped
into his brain which he acquired while in a prison in South America! A
EPISODE 20: BABY-DOLL(Oct. 1, 1994):
Baby-Doll refers to a girl(woman) who was the kinda child star of
an old TV show who's actual name was Baby Dahl!! And she's really
gone nuts and kidnaps the the former cast members of the show!!
This is really a poor episode!!
Guest starring the great Alan Young(The Time Machine, Mr. Ed)!! B-

COMMENTARY ON "HARLEQUINADE":
From an IMDb.com customer
This is one of my all time favorite cartoon shows.
The two elements that made up the show had plenty
of action and just enough violence to keep you
interested. And even though it was violent, I still
turned out to be a normal adult and not a psychotic
killer. Too bad that parents groups thought that it
was too violent, or my generation would have been
spared such shows as Shazam, Isis and Super
Friends. - Brian Washington (Sargebri@att.net
