THE BATMAN TV SERIES SEASON THREE(2004) PAGE

THE BATMAN TV SERIES SEASON THREE(2004):

HUGE BOOOOOO!!!! NO SUBTITLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still not in order of airing!!

Several changes in season three!! The first noticable one is
Batgirl, then Poison Ivy, then the theme song!! I'll need to
watch it to see if it's all for the better or not!!

Now for the bad, This has gotten dumbed down as each
episode progressed! And it's as if the Joker became Batman's
only foe!! And the stupid Bat-Bot thingy is really annoying!
And to top it off, they've made Batgirl into a joke!! I will not
be re-watching this season of this series again!!!

DISC 1:

EPISODE 1: BATGIRL BEGINS PART 1(Sept. 17, 2005):

The first appearance of Poison Ivy, as well as Batgirl!!

After an attack on an industrial plant, Commissioner Gordon
calls for back-up in the form of Batman!! This is the first use of
the Bat-signal to call for Batman's assistance!! While talking to
him, his daughter, Barbara calls to let him know that she won't
need a ride because she's in the process of infiltrating a plant
telling them they're through polluting Gotham!! She's with a girl
named Pam, who's a lot more serious about stopping polution
than Barbara knows!! Pam eventually becomes Poison Ivy!! A

EPISODE 2: BATGIRL BEGINS PART 2(Sept. 24, 2005):

After the accident at the end of the last episode, Pam is now
Poison Ivy, half human/half plant!! And she's now more determined
than ever to stop plant abuse!!

I really wanted to like this, honestly!!! But this is the weakest of all
the episodes thus far!! Not only is Poison Ivy a silly "criminal", but
Batgirl is far from the great character that she was in the comics and
1966 TV show!! And why the Hell did they debut Batgirl before they
had a Robin???? He was in the comics waaaay before Batgirl showed
up!!! The last thing against this, is this is too centered on Batgirl!!

But this did have one thing in its favor: it has a short nod to the
original series: when Batgirl(Barbara) is leaving the scene, she says
to her father, Commissioner Gordon, she says "you take care now,
citizen"!! Batman in the 60's always called everyone citizen!!

Guest starring is Jeffrey Combs(Babylon 5 episode "Eyes", Star Trek:
DS9, Star Trek: Voyager episode "Tsunkatse", Star Trek: Enterprise)!! B-

EPISODE 3: A DARK KNIGHT TO REMEMBER(Oct. 1, 2005):

The Penguin's back, and during a fight, Batman gets knocked
unconscious!! This leaves Batgirl out there fighting to catch
the bad guys, as Bruce has no memory of being Batman!! And
The Penguin kidnaps him for ransom!! B+

EPISODE 4: A FISTFUL OF FELT(Oct 8, 2005):

Back to the dumbest of all the "super villains", the ventriloquist
(Arnold Wesker) and Scarface!!! And here we also have some of
the villains that Batman has faced, The Joker & The Penguin! And
it appears that Dr. Strange is out to use Wesker to his advantage!

Back to reprise his role as Mayor Grange is Adam West, as well as
Frank Gorshin as Dr. Strange!! B-

EPISODE 5: RPM(Nov. 5, 2005):

While in a race for charity, Bruce has it won til a dude not in
it crashes the party!! This introduces a new villain, "Gearhead"!!
If you think this sounds stupid, you're right!! He's part human
and part nano technology, and he uses his nanoness(?) to
commit crimes just for the fun of it!! B

EPISODE 6: BRAWN(Nov. 12, 2005):

The Joker has broken into the Gotham police crime evidence
office and stolen Bane's magic bulking up device!! This series
just keeps getting dumber and dumber!! Barbara takes over
the stupid Bat-Bot and really fouls things up!! C

EPISODE 7: THE LAUGHING CATS(Nov. 19, 2005):

At this point I believe that the producers thought that The Joker
was the only interesting villain in this series!! He appears in at least
half of them, including this one, which also has Catwoman!! Anyway,
Salina Kyle is out catting around again, and it appears that Joker is
bound determined to ruin her night!! He's stolen a couple of Black
Panthers, all to trade them for a couple of hyenas!! And in the process
Catwoman, Batman and Batgirl all get the chance to be hunted by
him on an island specially made by the dude that wanted the panthers
to hunt there!! Much better than the last episode!! B+

DISC 2:

EPISODE 8: FLEURS DU MAL(Nov. 26, 2005):

This started out with promise!! Batman battling the Penguin! But
then it got silly!! It turns out that it's all Poison Ivy's doings!! It
turns into a kind of Body Snatchers type show!! B

EPISODE 9: CASH FOR TOYS(Feb. 4, 2006):

There's a toy maker that's out after Bruce Wayne because he was
instrumental in shutting down his manufacturing company that was
making extremely dangerous toys!!

This brings back Cash Tankingson(Patrick Warburton)! B+

EPISODE 10: THE APPRENTICE(Feb. 18, 2006):

The Joker's back(of course) and he's taking his frustrations out on
the Mayor!! Well, really, everyone! Anyway after seeing Batman and
Batgirl work together, he decides that he wants to have his own
sidekick!! And he chooses one of Barbara's classmates, who's also
the class clown!!

Adam West returns as Mayor Grange!! B

EPISODE 11: THUNDER(Feb. 11, 2006):

From the Batman: TAS series, here we have Zeus! Zues runs for
mayor, only to lose because of his unusual ideas!! Wherein he
becomes the god Zeus, ruling over Gotham in his spaceship that
floats over it!!

Again Adam West returns!! B

EPISODE 12: THE ICY DEPTHS(May 6, 2006):

A team up of Penguin and Mr. Freeze! Along with an old friend of
Alfred's!! And he's out to talk Alfred into an adventure with him!! Which
is why Penguin and Mr. Freeze were after an umbrella that was up
for auction!! A-

EPISODE 13: GOTHAM'S ULTIMATE CRIMINAL MASTERMIND(May 13, 2006):

Remember the episode "The Ultimate Computer" from the original
Star Trek series?? Well, if you do, this is a rip off of that, except in this
case the good Doctor Strange built the computer as a way to stop crime,
where in Star Trek the computer was built to protect space ships from
attack!! Well, anyway, this computer is just a little too smart for its own
good, and it thinks it really is a master thief, creating a robot to do his
bidding!! A-

From an IMDb.com customer

This is one of my all time favorite cartoon shows.
The two elements that made up the show had plenty
of action and just enough violence to keep you
interested. And even though it was violent, I still
turned out to be a normal adult and not a psychotic
killer. Too bad that parents groups thought that it
was too violent, or my generation would have been
spared such shows as Shazam, Isis and Super
Friends. - Brian Washington (Sargebri@att.net
