THE BATMAN TV SERIES SEASON FOUR(2004):
Subtitles are back!! Yeaaaaaaa!!!
Still not in order of airing!!
The music has changed again!! For the better!!
This introduces Dick Grayson/Robin!!
If the rest of the episodes are as good as the first one, this will
make a wonderful rebound from season three!!
DISC 1:
EPISODE 1: A MATTER OF FAMILY(Sept. 23, 2006):
Most everyone knows the origin of Robin!! This takes that story
and kinda plays around with it, but in the end pretty much the
same! Dick Grayson and his Mother and Father make up the
Flying Graysons!! A dude tries to blackmail them into paying for
"protection"!! Batman intervenes, but Zucko(the dude), doesn't
take no for an answer, and one thing leads to another and Dick's
parents get killed!! And Batman feels somewhat responsible, as
does Dick, and he takes Dick in as his ward! And the rest, as they
say, is history!!
Guest starring here are two greats: The original animated Batman,
Kevin Conroy as John Grayson, and Mark Hamill as Tony Zucko!!
This isn't a very good episode!! This is an EXCELLENT episode!!
By far the best since season one, and perhaps the best of the
entire run!! A++
EPISODE 2: TEAM PENGUIN(Sept. 30, 2006):
While watching a movie, Penguin gets an idea about forming
a team of his own!! He starts calling all the baddies in Gotham
to join his team!! But Batman seams to be getting in his way!!
He runs into Bane and stops him before he can join the troop!
But Penguin is able to round up Firefly, Killer Croc & Ragdoll!!
And then a dude called Killer Moth shows up to round out his
team!! The only reason this doesn't get a full A is because of
the choice of cronies that Penguin chooses!! Plus the fact that
again they make the kids look like doofuses!!!
Guest starring in this is Ron Perlman as Killer Croc! A-
EPISODE 3: CLAYFACES(Oct. 7, 2006):
The Joker is making plans to give all the dogs in Gotham a smile!!
But in the middle of his plan, Clayface, or I guess I should say a
couple of Clayfaces, interrupt his plans!! And Clayface plans on
taking care of Joker once and for all!! After Clayface and Joker are
put behind bars, an out of work actor decides he wants to be his
own clayface, breaks into the Wayne laboratories, steals the formula,
then downs the whole thing!! A
EPISODE 4: THE EVERYWHERE MAN(Nov. 4, 2006):
It seems that this should be called The Everywhere Men!! Anyway,
while at a party of a friend's, Batman ends up having to try to stop
a robbery!! But is seems that the dude perpetrating the crime is
everywhere at once!! Further investigation reveals that there are
more than one of him, and it is his friend!!
Guest starring Brandon Routh(Superman Returns, Arrow/The Flash/
Legends Of Tomorrow as Ray Palmer/The Atom) B-
EPISODE 5: THE BREAKOUT(Nov. 11, 2006):
There's a new group out there calling themselves the Black
Masks, Hell bent on world domination, or at least Gotham
City domination!! B
EPISODE 6: STRANGE NEW WORLD(Nov. 18, 2006):
Unfortunately, this episode digresses!! Batman vs zombies! C+
EPISODE 7: ARTIFACTS(fEB. 3, 2007):
This one jumps to the future, where some archaeological hunters
unearth the Batcave!! Thus proving that Batman really existed!!
The reason, Mr. Freeze is out after, well, everyone!!
Guest starring here is Jerry O'Connell(Sliders, Las Vegas) as Nightwing!! B+
DISC 2:
EPISODE 8: SECONDS(Feb. 10, 2007):
Another new villain, Francis Grey!! And he seems to be able to
bend time to his advantage!! And he plans to go back and fix things
that went wrong back before he went to prison!! B+
EPISODE 9: RIDDLER'S REVENGE(Feb. 17, 2007):
The Riddler and Batman are trapped underwater after an explosion
throws the storage box they were in over board off a ship!! While counting
down the minutes til their demise, Riddler tells of his origins!!
This brings back Robert Englund & Brooke Shields! B+
EPISODE 10: TWO OF A KIND(Feb. 24, 2007):
Joker's back!! And he's got a thing for a talk show host named
Harlene!! Betcha you know who!! And he decides to make her his
girlfriend, and just as crazy as he is!! Sadly, this one's a little silly! B+
EPISODE 11: RUMORS(Mar. 3, 2007):
Killer Croc is back, and he's met up with someone more interesting
than he is, and apparently stronger, and invisible!! Also here we get
Catwoman, The Joker, The Penguin & Professor Strange!!
Seen but not heard are Bane, Harley Quinn, Scarface & the Ventriloquist,
Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Firefly, Man-Bat and Ragdoll!!
Again Ron Perlman returns!! B+
EPISODE 12: THE JOINING PART 1(Apr 28, 2007):
First appearance of Lucius Fox!! Also here is John Jones(J'onn J'onzz/Martian
Manhunter)! And he's come here to warn Batman/Bruce of an alien invasion!!
And just when Batman is wondering if having a couple of sidekicks is such a
good idea!!
Talk about ripping off another show, this has what's called "The Joining",
a robotic grouping who have a singular mind set!! Can we say BORG!!
Guest starring here is Louis Gossett Jr. as Lucius Fox! A
EPISODE 13: THE JOINING PART 2(May 5, 2007):
With a full fledged attack under way, it feels as if Batman and The Martian
Manhunter are way overwhelmed!!! So eventually a few more helpers show
up!! Even the villains are helping out here!!!
Also, besides the similarity to the Borg, this also has the look of War Of
The Worlds as well as Independence Day!! A

From an IMDb.com customer
This is one of my all time favorite cartoon shows.
The two elements that made up the show had plenty
of action and just enough violence to keep you
interested. And even though it was violent, I still
turned out to be a normal adult and not a psychotic
killer. Too bad that parents groups thought that it
was too violent, or my generation would have been
spared such shows as Shazam, Isis and Super
Friends. - Brian Washington (Sargebri@att.net
