JUSTICE LEAGUE - THE NEW FRONTIER
Shown from the 50's and 60's, this is pretty interesting!
Certainly a little disjointed, as it jumps around a lot,
but overall a pretty fun movie! It could have really
used Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly, but still a good effort!
This is a very loose origin story of the Justice League
of America!!
This has a special on it about the origin of a lot
of the DC universe superheros, including the
Justice Society of America!! Very good!!! A-
From an IMDb.com customer
Well animated, pretty well scripted, but with
a fairly random bad guy (or bad entity - whatever),
Justice League: The New Frontier basically bridges
the gap between the Golden Age Justice Society
and the Silver Age Justice League. You'll appreciate
some of the finer plot- and character-points of
this movie if you have a in depth knowledge of
the DC universe, but otherwise a lot of the detail
in this movie may go over your head.
Too violent for kids (in my opinion), and too
esoteric for casual fans of DC, this one
is perfect for DC die-hards. - M. Pickford "M-Life"

EP. 1: "DARK HEART":
(Season 3, Episode 10)
An alien craft comes to Earth and systematically starts
destroying any metal in its wake!! Not bad, though all
these are pretty short! B

The bad guys(not sure of their organizations name)
discover a Viking ship which they believe holds the
corps of an exiled Viking warrior, Prince John!! They
race against the JLA to try to capture the corpse! B
From IBDb.com
I'm watching many of these Justice League cartoons
to see if there is anything redeemable about them.
Not an overwhelming lot, but this one has me
dumbstruck, but first a plot synopsis.
It seems the bad guys (Grodd, Black Manta,
I guess called Devil Ray here, Giganta and
in this case, Killer Frost) are after a norse
viking ship frozen in the ice, while higher
ups and various bigbrow dignitaries are
shmoozing in a remote getaway nearby.
Thawing out the ship is endangering the
getaway, hence the battle.
Right off the bat, I was dumfounded by
the characterization of one little character,
a too-hip female.
When authorities are shooting at the bad
guys, she quips, "he did not just shoot at me."
So glad she thinks so highly of herself.
Then when Wonder Woman shows up and
fights back, this little woman bleets, "you're
cheating, you're cheating!"
No, dear, it's known as fighting back.
Strange dialogue, I thought, hence I
decided to look it up and was surprised
to see it was Killer Frost, a generally
more demure, straight-forward character
than shown here.
And now the cartoon ends with a complete
90 degree turn-around from how it began.
Jonn Jonnz was being dogged out about staying
in the satellite so much, by the end, he's decided
to take his leave of the JLA?
Once again, this was one strange cartoon. - richard.fuller1
