YOUNG JUSTICE SEASON 2 PART 1 PAGE

YOUNG JUSTICE: SEASON 2, PART 1(2010):

The first 10 episodes of Young Justice season 2!! These are really
REALLY good!!! Although there are a few flaws, they can mostly
be forgiven, if not ignored all together!!

There are several new members here, with absolutely no explanation
as to why!!

One more thing, this season is one very long story, with only little
detours here and there!!

DISC 1:

EPISODE 1: HAPPY NEW YEAR(Apr. 28, 2012):

Picking up where the last season left off, the team, along with
the JLA, are trying to find out what happened during the missing
time space during their battle with Vandal Savage and his evil
cohorts!!!

During their first mission, which was to take on Clayface, we
are introduced to some new members! Now part of the Young
Justice team are Blue Beetle, Wonder Girl, Batgirl, Beast Boy,
Lagoon Boy(?) & Bumble Bee! An obvious person missing is
Kid Flash!! And it appears that at least three of the members
from the first season are no longer a part of the team!! That
would be Miss Martian, Superboy & Nightwing!!

Again, in the guise of Marvel-wannabe, this one introduces
the idea of the press questioning whether all of the superheroes
are superheroes, or villains who need to be gotten rid of!! This is
absolutely stupid to me!! That's why I give this a B

EPISODE 2: EARTHLINGS(May 5, 2012):

There's a team on Rann to find out what happened to the JLA
members during their missing 18 hours!! They are having to
be very careful because all of the JLA members are outlaws there!
And we now have Beast Boy being the "collector of souvenirs"!! A

EPISODE 3: ALIENATED(May 12, 2012):

Back to the stupid dude trying to put doubt into people's minds
about the intentions of the superheroes here!! Also going on is
the alien hunt for Zeta's!! Still no Kid Flash!!! And here we find
that there is a traitor among the Young Justice team!! A

EPISODE 4: SALVAGE(May 19, 2012):

Another traitor amongst the superheroes, and he's found out
and dealt with!! And the team are all "taking the night off"!
And the dude that's the traitor has his reasons for being less
than upright!! And also going on here are a couple of villains
who are activating some very bad robots!!

And again DC trying to be Marvel by having it's heroes have
mental and emotional issues that no one wants to watch or
read about!! A-

EPISODE 5: BENEATH(May 26, 2012):

A friend of Blue Beetle's is having trouble and is headed out of town
to Huston to get away from an abusive relationship!! Nightwing
forms a party of all girls to do some recon on aliens! While on this
mission they discover a band of super villains who have been kidnapping
people for purposes unknown!! A

DISC 2:

EPISODE 6: BLOODLINES(June 2, 2012):

While going over some of the information gathered from their
last mission, Robin, Nightwing and Beast Boy get an unexpected
visitor from the future!! And in other areas, the cloned Red Arrow
and his "wife" Cheshire are at an island where her intel has shown
the real Roy Harper to be!! This has Kid Flash in it for the first time
this season!! A

EPISODE 7: DEPTHS(June 9, 2012):

The team, with Artemis re-joining them for this mission, are
helping with protecting a launch of a satellite headed to Mars
to link up Mars with the Earth for easier communication!! There
are many who are very much against this, especially the news dude
whose made it his mission to stop any more "aliens" from coming
to Earth!! A

EPISODE 8: SATISFACTION(Sept. 29, 2012):

With the real Roy Harper now back in civilization, he's finding
it hard to come to grips with what's happened over the last eight
years!! And everyone is up in arms about Artemis' death, even
the really bad guys!! And Roy is out to get revenge on the man
who took his life away, Lex Luthor!!!! And what does Captain Cold
have to do with this story?? A

EPISODE 9: DARKEST(Oct. 6, 2012):

With Aqualad's deception now out with the Young Justice team,
this episode centers on him and his place in his "father's" organization!!
Also going on is Kid Kid Kid Flash(known as Impulse) going to visit
with Blue Beetle and have some fun, but they run into a not so
friendly group headed by Aqualad!! And they have laid a trap for
the whole team in their own fortress!! This finally leads to Aqualad
finding out who the main man is!! A

EPISODE 10: BEFORE THE DAWN(Jan. 5, 2013):

So if you've watched the special's on disc one, you will know
about the group "The Reach", which it turns out is behind the
whole invasion of the Earth plot of this season!! And this has
the whole team invading their ship to rescue the prisoners!! A

SPECIALS
DISC ONE

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD:
EPISODE: "RISE OF THE BLUE BEETLE":
So, because this season is set 5 years after the events of
the first season, there are many people shown here that
most of us have no idea where they all came from!! This,
and the next two episodes, help fill that void and answer
some questions!!

So, onto the episode: While Batman and Green Arrow are
battling, they're being watched by a couple of teens who
discuss what they would be like if they were superheroes!!
Turns out, one of them is: Blue Beetle!! He seems to have a
lot of trouble with his suit, which he hasn't quite mastered
yet!! While on this mission the Blue Beetle comes across
a species that worship him!! The plan is to save the inhabitants
(really weird looking microbe looking dudes), and become
the superhero that he's meant to be!!

This was the first episode of the series!! Got to say, it looks
like the series is questionable at best, and definitely aimed at
a young viewing audience!!!! B

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD:
EPISODE: "FALL OF THE BLUE BEETLE":
While battling a pretty strong apponent, Jaime talks to Batman
about whether he thinks that the suit chose him or if he just
lucked into it!! Batman did his usual glib attitude, so he goes off
on his own to find answers on why him, and what happened to
the last Blue Beetle!! Unfortunately, he finds out that all things
are not necessarily what they seem!! Much better than the first
episode!! B+

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD:
EPISODE: "REVENGE OF THE REACH":
This one has Batman joining up with The Challengers Of The
Unknown!! They are on an island where a bunch of asteroids
have fallen, and it turns out that the island is home to much
more than normal animals!! Meanwhile, Blue Beetle has taken
on Starro when he decides that he's taken on more than he
can chew, and he calls his pal Paco for some suggestions!!
After catching him, he takes him to the Green Lantern Corp
and immediately gets attacked by the whole corp!! Turns out
that the thing(a scarab) that makes him Blue Beetle was one
of several that was sent out around the galaxy by a really
bad group called the Reach to conquer the galaxy!! Things
start going really wrong for Jaime!!

This again shows DC trying to Marvel by having their characters
act like assholes!! If not for that, I would have given this a much
higher rating!! B

These episodes had some pretty great actors in them: Armin
Shimmerman(Star Trek: DS9), J.K. Simmons(The Closer) & Wil
Wheaton(Star Trek: TNG)!!!

From an IMDb.com customer

I watch animated superhero shows on Saturday morning
to satisfy the inner child in me and my favorites so far were
Batman TAS and Justice League. But this show blew me
away, probably because my expectations were so low
about a show revolving around the sidekicks. But it quickly
establishes that the stakes are high and it finds a good
way to integrate the story and the characters into the DC
universe. The stories are complex, the characters fleshed
out and it finds an almost perfect balance between action,
story and characters. It's not about wanna-be heroes but
heroes in the making. Taking season 1 alone I would give
it 10 out of 10 and maybe even call it the best animated
show in the DC universe, but unfortunately TV business
intervened. The show didn't hit the intended demographics
(too many girls were watching - which just demonstrates
how ridiculously archaic the TV and advertisement business
really is) - anyway this led to the tinkering of the 2nd season's
setting and the premature cancellation. The quality of season
2 is still high, but you can never shake the feeling that they
abandoned a great show and made too many compromises
to cater to a specific audience. - tmf084
