BOURNE 1: BOURNE IDENTITY(2002):
A very intense movie with Matt Damon starring as
a man who is found floating in the ocean by the
crew of a fishing boat! He doesn't remember who he
is or where he's from, nor how he got in the ocean!
He promptly goes on a manhunt for himself, and in
the process gets a woman involved with him! He finds
that he can do things most normal people wouldn'e be
able to do, as well as finding passports in his many
names! A great start to the franchise!! This does end
rather abruptly, but probably cause they knew they
had another Bourne comming up!! A
From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
This is a great movie. Unfortunately one reviewer has
no knowledge towards the field of psychology. One
reviewer states it's a good movie based on a completely
false occurrence, that being amnesia in general. They
say it doesn't exist and nobody loses their memory of
their identity while retaining knowledge of everything
else. This is untrue. I am currently studying to become
a psychologist, it's called Dissociative Amnesia. -Dissociative
Amnesia - formerly Psychogenic Amnesia, is a pervasive
loss of memory of significant personal information. This
disorder is characterized by a blocking out of critical
personal information. Dissociative amnesia, unlike other
types of amnesia, does not result from other medical
trauma, such as a blow to the head. The predominant
disturbance is one or more episodes of inability to
recall important personal information, usually of a
traumatic or stressful nature, that is too extensive
to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness - Just to
prove, it's true, and does happen. So this movie is
not based on something made up, similar losses of
memory do happen to people. Especially people in
a job such as that. So, concluding, this is a great
action film, I truly enjoyed this movie along with
the sequel, The Bourne Supremacy. Both are I
think going to be a couple of the best movies we
will see this decade (2000-2010) - Chris2004T

BOURNE 2: THE BOURNE SUPREMACY(2004):
Just as good as the first, this one has Bourne remembering
a little more each day, and trying to track down just what
he is remembering! A lot of action, very cerebral, great
story! A
From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
In The Bourne Supremacy, Jason Bourne is living a
secret life with his girlfriend Marie, still trying to
discover who he is. When he is framed for a crime
involving the CIA, a hit-man is sent to kill him. This
causes Jason Bourne to respond to a previous threat
he made...Anybody from his past life that confronted
him, he'd get revenge. He sets out to find out what
happened and why he's being blamed.
A lot of the principal players return for this sequel,
and it's good to see how their characters evolved
since the first film. Some new characters are present
as well, and they are good additions to the series.
Matt Damon is even better as Bourne this time around,
seeing as he's comfortable in the role now. I really
enjoyed Joan Allen in her role as well.
The movie never gets too boring, and there is a nice
blend between the action and the drama. This movie
also features one of the best car chases since Bullitt.
The only big flaw is the cinematography. The camera
whips around so fast in some scenes that you can
barely see what's going on. The movie ends with
promise of a third installment, and I personally can't
wait. - theshadow908

BOURNE 3: THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM(2007):
Nearly as good as the first two, this one sees the "conclusion"
to the Matt Damon era of Bourne, with its beginning picking up
right after the last movie(Bourne Supremacy)! The beginning
is a little confusing, even watching it two or three times, but
eventually you get caught up to what's happening! Really top
notch action and story! A
From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
Having not seen the previous two in the trilogy of Bourne
movies, I was a little reluctant to watch The Bourne
Ultimatum.
However it was a very thrilling experience and I didn't
have the problem of not understanding what was happening
due to not seeing the first two films. Each part of the story
was easy to understand and I fell in love with The Bourne
Ultimatum before it had reached the interval! I don't think
I have ever watched such an exquisitely made, and gripping
film, especially an action film. Since I usually shy away
from action and thriller type movies, this was such great
news to me. Ultimatum is one of the most enthralling films,
it grabs your attention from the first second till the last
minute before the credits roll.
Matt Damon was simply fantastic as his role as Jason Bourne.
I've heard a lot about his great performances in the Bourne
1+2, and now, this fabulous actor has one more to add to his
list. I look forward to seeing more of his movies in the future.
The stunts were handled with style - each one was done
brilliantly and I was just shocked by the impressiveness of
this movie. Well done. - Dingataca

BOURNE 4: THE BOURNE LEGACY(2014):
With no real explaination of why Bourne isn't
in this movie, it kinda leaves you wondering
what the Hell is going on here! While the movie
is actually fairly decent, without Matt Damon
it looses some of it's pazzaz! Basic cruxt of
the story is that Jeromy Renner plays an agent
like Jason Bourne, and he goes through a lot to
find out that he, along with Bourne and several
other agents, are test fodder for a couple of
drugs that are human enhancing! He, like Bourne,
picks up a girl on his adventure who helps him
find out at least some of the truth! Not a bad
movie, but just not really part of the Bourne
saga!! B+
From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
When you watch the Bourne Trilogy to me those 3 movies
were equal in suspense and excitement. It's hard to come
away with a sequel and have it be as good as the first one.
Here, Jeremy Renner is really good in his role but I'm not
sold on Rachel Weisz. It's like she is trying too hard?? When
you watch her and Renner in the car when they leave her
burning house it's like she is forgetting her lines or something.
Just not very good acting. Anyway, the action scenes are really
good but the story isn't. It doesn't carry the same flair or
interest like the first 3 do. The movie is not awful but it's not
great either. Good to see at least once. It gets a 6 from
me. - rpete528

BOURNE 5: JASON BOURNE(2016):
Yay, Matt's Back!! And this was shot partially
in Vegas, and I was there during the scene in the
casino meeting room!!! If you look really, REALLY
hard, you'll never see me!! LOL!
With Jason Bourne back in play, he is determined
to find answers about his past! Of course, he picks
up a new lady along the way when the one he started
with runs into trouble! This is really a guys movie,
with scenes in Africa, Europe and the US(specifically,
as mentioned previously, Las Vegas)! He finds out who
was responsible for his father's death and who's
behind the whole thing! This is a great return for
Matt, although some of this doesn't really add up
electronically speaking(able to delete files from
a phone line, but not aware of a text!!!!)! A nice
addition to the series! A
From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
Finally, almost after 10 years Jason Bourne is back. As
an old fan of the Bourne-trilogy I didn't get disappointed.
The audience receive what was expected - exciting chases
around the globe with an excellent Matt Damon.
Nevertheless there are a few points why this movie
don't reach the strength of the old films.
First the story indeed fits to the other films but it
isn't very innovative and not so complicated.
Second I don't like the development of Jason Bourne.
In the old films he was hunting his lost past and the
audience was thrilled with it. Now in this movie the
motivation of Jason Bourne is very predictable.
Third some scenes, especially at the end are a little
bit to excessive and unrealistic in my opinion.
To sum up, if you like the old Bourne trilogy with
Matt Damon, you will like this movie. But don't
expect new surprising scenes. - xyugi
