DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, THE(2008)
I suppose if you've never seen the original 1951 movie
that this is a rip off of, you might be inclined to think
this is a good movie! Buuuuut, this one is so far removed
from that great movie that I find it an insult to call it
by the same name! Unlike Michael Rennie, Keanu just doen't
make the role believable! And the ending is terrible!!! C-

"The Day the Earth Stood Still" has lots of obvious and
implausible plot holes. If we were to analyse the plot,
then we would be left with many frustrations. Many subplots
are poorly explained. If the filmmakers are trying to create
suspense by not letting viewers know a thing, then it
unfortunately fails to work.
However, the great computer effects are realistic and
breathtaking. The fine scenes include a scene involving
a truck on a highway, and another scene involving a stadium.
Though "The Day the Earth Stood Still" has its shortcomings,
I did enjoy watching it. - Gordon-11
