MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING/THE WEDDING PLANNER TWO MOVIE SET
MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING(1997):
I like Julia Roberts. Unfortunately this was not
one of her best movies! It was ok, just not as
humorous as some of her other work! However,
Rupert, Dermot and Cameron Diaz all are great
in their roles! This could have been better, but
still worth one watch anyway! C+
From an Amazon.com customer:
I'm usually not into Julia Roberts' comedies but
this one really made me laugh. MY BEST FRIEND'S
WEDDING is seriously the ultimate giuide for being
a hater. It's a light hearted romantic comedy and
seriously, Rupert Everett steals the show.
Julia Roberts and Sermot Mulroney aren't too bad
either. And a pretty good performance from Cameron
Diaz is always good. Roberts has just been named
Maid of Honor at her best friend's, Mulroney, wedding.
Realizing that she's still in love with him, she goes to
the wedding with plans of stopping it for her own
personal gain.
The best part of this movie, Rupert Everett. He
really takes it home in this one and it makes you
forget about DUNSTON CHECKS IN. This was one
of the best roles he's picked up. This is a really
good romantic comedy and like I said before,
for anyone planning to trash a wedding, here's
your instructional video. Enjoy! - E. Batica

Much better film than the first one, with Matthew
McConaughey carrying the movie! Jennifer Lopez
does just fine, I'm just not a big fan of hers. All-
in-all, a pretty good movie worth a watch every
now and then!! B+
From an Amazon.com customer:
I am probably not a J. Lo fan per se, but I thought
she was absolutely perfect and even divinely adorable
in this movie. As for Matt McConaughey.....wow, who
wouldn't like this guy! This flick wasn't cerebral, but it
didn't have to be. I wanted to laugh and get involved
and it suited my needs at the moment. (I was in a
funk.) It's a feel good movie as well as a comedy of
errors. You know things will get complicated and
will improbably work out. If that wasn't enough,
the story is set in San Francisco and I got to see a
favorite city to boot. Anyway, by the last scene,
I was funk free and very glad I bought this one. - Crabigail
