DRAGONHEART SET:
DRAGONHEART(1996):
A wonderful little movie! This has Sean Connery doing the
voice for the dragon(Draco) and he does a great job! Also top
notch is Dennis Quaid, and Dina Meyer does great as the
female lead! Just an all-around great movie! A
From IMDb.com:
Like others, I rate Dragonheart far above most mindless
summer blockbusters, loaded with hip witticisms and
sarcastic heroes. Dragonheart is not cynical at all, and
is lots of fun for kids of all ages (why is this movie PG13?).
If you're looking for a really ferocious dragon, Draco isn't
it. Draco is much more human than most movie dragons
(if you want a scary dragon, watch Dragonslayer), but
he is very realistic. In fact, the scenes without him tend
to drag, but Dennis Quaid's Bowen is strong as the
disillusioned knight. If you are looking for a deep plot,
you won't find it, but that's no big deal. Dragonheart
is more about adventure and dragons than about plot
twists and in depth characterizations. Edelman's music
is great for the most part, especially in the final scenes,
which I think are the best in the movie. Check it
out. - Erik Goodwyn (edgood01@homer.louisville.edu)

Just an ok movie, as gone are Sean Connery as the
dragon(instead they have this "kid" dragon that doesn't
know what the Hell he's doing), gone are the noble
knights(instead, we have a stable boy who's a knight
wannabe, who seems afraid of his own shadow), and
gone is the decent movie! This, if it had been made
first, would never have spawned a sequel! Really the
only decent part of the whole movie is the part of
Lian(Rona Figueroa), a very fetching young lady!! C+
From IMDb.com:
This was not a bad sequel. The CGI is okay, the cast is
decent, and the music is pretty good. Not that bad,
and has a interesting story. Worth a look, just don't
expect a EXCELLENT movie. - sketchy(j6524@hotmail.com)
