EARTHSEA(2004)
First off, this DVD was made in 2005 and has NO CLOSED
CAPTIONING!@!@!@!! And it desparely needs it! This is neerly
unforgivable for this day and age!
The cinematography is outstanding, the acting boring,
and the story, well, what story?! There is near nudity in this!
Oh, and it is umbearably long!!!
That being said, had this had a couple of better actors, and
had it not been so damn long, and if it had closed captions,
I think this would have been a very good movie! As it is, it's
just a rip off of LOTR & HP! C+

Unfortunately, Le Guin did not have one in this case. The
story is just flat-out boring. The acting is as wooden as
Pinocchio. The direction is lifeless, and the special
effects are not very special. I fell asleep after the
first twenty minutes of watching this turkey, woke up
an hour later, and hadn't missed anything of any substance.
The movie is recommended, however, for anyone having a
