ELVIS: BLUE HAWAII!(1961)
This is far and away my favorite Elvis movie, and
one of my all-time favorite movies ever!!!
Elvis! Angela Lansbury! Hawaii! Girls! And even Charlie
Chan himself, Roland Winters(he was in 6 of the Charlie
Chan movies in the 1940's)!! And without a doubt some of
Elvis' most beautiful music!! This really should have been
the follow-up to G. I. Blues!
This has the title song along with one of the most
beautiful songs ever made, Can't Help Falling In
Love! It also has Always True To You, Hawaiian
Wedding Song, Aloha Oi, Rock-A-Hula, Island Of
Love, No More, Beach Boy Blues, Moonlight Swim,
Ku-U-I-Po, & Hawaiian Sunset!!! Just a beautiful
movie!! A+

Elvis Presley's seventh film(This is incorrect! This
was Elvis' EIGHTH film! Wild In The Country was
released the same year{1961} in June, while Blue
Hawaii was released in November! RP) was the first
of his "Hawaii trilogy" (including Girls! Girls! Girls!
and Paradise, Hawaiian Style). While its story is
daft--the King has just been released from his Army
posting in Italy and returned to the islands, where
he's trying to avoid working in his father's fruit
business--the music is not: "Blue Hawaii," "Almost
Always True," and the beautiful "Can't Help Falling
in Love." Angela Lansbury plays Elvis's mother, who
can't seem to get through to him. Directed by the
star's frequent collaborator, Norman Taurog (G.I.
