ELVIS: TROUBLE WITH GIRLS, THE!(1969):
There is a lot to like about this movie, some of
the songs are quite snappy, the end of the movie
is quite a change of pace for an Elvis movie!
This has a few of really top-notch actors in it!
The absolutely always wonderful Vincent Price
(TVs Batman as Egghead, Abbott and Costello
Meet Frankenstein, and MANY horror/mystery
movies!), John Carradine(TVs Kung Fu, House
Of Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein),
Anissa Jones(TVs Family Affair) and Dabney
Coleman(War Games) all add a lot to this movie!
Songs include a very entertaining version of
Swing Down Sweet Chariot, Almost was quite
pretty, and the number Signs Of The Zodiac
is really cute!
Really worth a watch and stick with it to the end! B

Forget the stupid title (which has nothing to
do with the story) and enjoy one of Elvis Presley's
best movies. A recent Los Angeles Times review
ranked this 1969 effort as a "turkey" along the lines
of "Harum Scarum" and "Spinout." The reviewer
obviously did not see this charming 1920s period
piece, which is remarkably different from most
