THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS SET PAGE

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS(2001):

This movie is all about fast cars!! Period!! The slight secondary
plot revolves around Paul Walker's being an undercover cop on
the hunt for dudes that are robbing trucks in, you guessed it,
fast cars! Not a real deep movie, and honestly not all that great
of acting, with the exception of a couple of guys(Paul, Vin Diesel
and Thom Barry, but then there aren't many other name actors in
this!)

The cars are cool, the racing scenes cool, the music sucks and
overall a decent enough escapism type movie! B

From IMDb.com:

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) leads a group of friends and family
to street race in the LA night. Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) is
a cop working undercover to infiltrate his gang of suspected
truck robberies. However he finds himself falling under Dominic's
charisma and for Dominic's sister Mia (Jordana Brewster).

There is a lot of silly action, and unrealistic story lines. This is
purely style winning over substance. The cars look cool and
babes look hot. But it's the Vin Diesel presence and Paul Walker
pretty boy looks that provide the heart of this movie. The boys
have amazing chemistry and the gang feels like a real family.
The story is almost unnecessary. - SnoopyStyle

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 2:
2 FAST 2 FURIOUS(2003):

This actually has a plot to it that isn't too bad!! Brian O'Connor
(Paul Walker) finds himself in Florida, on the run from the
authorities in California, where he is now enlisted by the local
police to help bust a drug dealer, with the promise to clean
up his record!

Paul, Tyrese Gibson & the main baddie, Cole Hauser, do a pretty
good job of acting here! The road racing is kept to a minimum,
and the story is pretty decent! Music still sucks though!! B+

From IMDb.com:

This movie has been getting real mixed reviews .... personally,
I like this movie. I thought 2 Fast 2 Furious was a damn good
movie. I thought the storyline was pretty cool it is about fast
cars, hot women, cool guys, and tells us what happens to Brian
O'Connor (Paul walker) after the 'open' ending of the first
movie. There are absolutely awesome action shots and much
movement in the plot to make it interesting to watch. To those
of you who thought it was not really good, maybe you should
watch it again and give it a another shot, it really is a good
movie. The only thing i personally didn't like is that Vin Diesel
was not in this movie. But he comes back in the new movies
so thats good. - heatherwthurman

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 3:
TOKYO DRIFT(2006):

This has bad acting, bad script, bad music, decent auto
racing and a cool cameo at the end!! My guess, since I'm
watching all these in order, is that this is the weakest link!
Not much else to say here! C+

From IMDb.com:

Got a free screening pass to see it 6-12, saw it with some
car buddies, the dork I am took notes.

This movie had more semblance of a plot than the rest
of the franchise, the action stayed fresh and actually
flowed with the plot, and the characters actually had
motivation this time! There weren't any HUGE glaring
inaccuracies (other than daddy throwing sonny the keys
to a car with NO ENGINE in it...) The three cameos in
the film were well placed, though a bit campy at the
very end. The cars and action sequences were amazingly
choreographed, one even leaving my whole theatre
clapping for the protagonist.

I give 8/10 because of low expectations, and being
totally blown away when it was much better than
I expected. - la-fashionista

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 4:
FAST AND FURIOUS(2009):

In #4, we have back the two who started this franchise,
Paul Walker and Vin Diesel!!! What a difference this
makes!! There is a plot that is coherent, and some acting
that is decent to watch! Gist is that a girl that they both
cared a lot for gets killed, and they both end up trying to
track down the dude who did it! There's actually only two
real races, but there are several chase scenes that make
this another fun romp to watch! B+

From IMDb.com:

This was a good movie. They were able to bring back
all the things that made the first one great like Vin Diesel,
Jordana Brewster, and Paul Walker, and let go of the
things that did not work so well. All the things that you
loved in the first one are here and a little more. Vin Diesel
does a great job from start to finish. In parts of the movie
it almost makes you want to leave your seat and cheer.
For all you Paul Walker haters out there he did a good
job as well. He is like a backup quarterback in the NFL
you want him to manage the game don't try to do to
much just do what is takes to win. Walker is not the
star of the movie, but behind the star he manages his
part well. He does a good job of playing his part and
not going beyond that and try to make a great performance.
Walker acts within his ability. I for one am not a Walker
hater so I never felt like he did a bad job, but I know
there are a lot of you out there and you will be happy
with his performance in this movie. Just the right blind
of action and cars. For all the people that loved Han
from Tokyo Drift don't get really excited, his role is
only for about 3 minutes at the beginning of the movie.
This is not a movie that is going to win any Academy
Awards, but it is a movie that will keep you entertain
for an hour and forty five minutes. Worth the movie
to pay to see this one in the theater. Which is saying
a lot for the way the economy is right now. It is the
best one in the series. - Big Bouy Bokins

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 5:
FAST FIVE(2011):

Just as strong an entry as the last movie was, with an added
feature of having Dwayne(The Rock) Johnson in it!! This has
a lot more personal feel to it, with our "heroes" eventually
planning a huge heist, and Dwayne trying to catch them!
Great story, great script, great acting and great action!
Still though, crappy music!(I'm just not into rap!!)

All-in-all, another great entry in the series!! B+

From IMDb.com:

The movie still has its feelings of brotherhood and
contains a lot action and nice cars, although the movie
misses street races, the nightlife of illegal street racing,
like in the first and second fast and furious films. There
are some mistakes in the storyline that disturbs me,
however they are minor errors that are unlikely to be
discovered (perhaps if you watch it more than 10 times,
as I did). The movie in general I think is awesome, the
action sequences and the humor that is, absolutely
awesome. RIP Paul ... You will be missed, you did
achieve a lot, inspired many! - milan97-164-884905

FAST AND FURIOUS 6(2013):

Almost gone entirely are the races!

The whole crew returns for #6, and we lose a couple of
them along the way, but gain back another! But as we
have learned, just because you're dead in the movie
doesn't mean you're gone forever! Another great outing! B+

From IMDb.com:

Good action fun movie with interesting ideas twists and
turns. A few surprises about who's on who's side, but
nothing too unusual. Fighting scenes were very good
the best that I have seen in this franchise.

Theme of criminals not so "bad" having deep seeded
good principles carries on. A good follow up to the
previous one, and fits well into this category. If You
liked "Fast five" chances are good number six will
also tickle your fancy.

My rating of seven is high but quality of scenes acting
and action is right up there. It ticks all the boxes,
unfortunately the unrealistic ones too. This is my
gripe, this movie was let down by two very unrealistic
action scenes. A certain amount of unreal-ism is
acceptable but I think they took it too far this round.

Last one, more focus on the cars would have pushed
my rating up. - Hendrik Van Der Merwe

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 7:
Furious 7(2015):

The last of the Fast and Furious movies with Paul
Walker! He died in a car crash while this was being
wrapped up!

In this last(?) outing, Jason Stathem plays the brother
of a dude(Owen Shaw) that was killed in one of the
other movies and he's out for blood!

As an added fun casting here, we have Kurt Russel!!
He plays a fed who is out after the same dude that
the Furious gang are, and has offered some really
helpful help!!! Tho the story line may seem a little
muddled at times, the action almost never stops!
I'm sure that Paul would be happy that this was how
he will be remembered!! A

From IMDb.com:

By about 2009 when 'Fast & Furious' was released,
the franchise had slowly began to veer away from its
initial focus of street racing and instead began to turn
its attention to the action genre and over-the-top big
budget sequences. However along with this change of
style, the franchise was actually getting better and
better with each film. Today I saw the most recent
instalment in the cinema... talk about action-packed.
'Fast & Furious 7' is a no-holds, over- the-top and
mindless action film, but this aside, it is an extremely
entertaining and fun film to watch. With an all-star
cast and some brilliant action sequences, 'Fast &
Furious 7' is proof that certain franchises can continually
make great movies. The most notable moment however
in the entire film is the emotional and respectful ending
during the send-off of Paul Walker, the film finishing
with a montage of Walker in the previous six films,
finishing with just two words, 'For Paul', this is the
first time a Fast and Furious film has affected me
emotionally, and it is arguably the best in the
franchise. - SmashingUKProductions

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 8:
FATE OF THE FURIOUS, THE(2017):

Dom turns to the dark side!! Well, kinda. He
joins up with a cyber haker that has two people
he cares deeply for prisoner! So the rest of the
team joins forces with "Mr. Nobody"(Kurt Russel)
to find him and find out what's going on, as well
retrieve a device that the cyber dudette stole!

While this may seem like a real change from the
franchise, stay with the movie and you'll be
pleasently surprised!! Another great addition
to the franchise!! A

From IMDb.com:

Quick, honest review here - saw the film last
night, it premieres tomorrow. Here's what I think:

Real Fans of the Furious franchise will absolutely
love it, it delivers! If you're a fan, you know
exactly what to do going into this feature, just
sit back and enjoy the ride. It's a good one, enjoy!
This movie is so very clearly made for the fans.

If you're not a furious fan, maybe haven't seen
the ones before, don't watch this movie, go watch
the other ones first and then see this movie, you'll
have a more enjoyable time. If you don't like the
previous films, you won't like this one.

P.S. - If you don't like this film because of the
plot holes or bad acting or cheesy moments, then
you are watching it wrong! :-)

Have fun!- Patricio Munoz

Oh, MY! I figured all the reviewers on IMDb.com were
just exagerating how bad this movie is! They weren't!!
This has nearly no appeal to anyone 'cept die hard fans

about that! Very jumpy throughout and beyond implausable!
I would suggest to skip this one, but I'm sure some of it
will lead into the next one(Yup, they're making another!)!! C
