FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX(2004)
A remake of the great film with James Stuart!! This is
actually a very good homage to that film with Dennis
Quaid, Tyrese Gibson & Hugh Laurie!! Very much worth
a watch now and then!!! B+

I have to admit, that I haven't seen the original
yet ... and I'm a bit ashamed of this fact. I always
try to watch the original movie, before I go into a
remake. But maybe, because I don't know the original,
that made me unaware of more flaws this movie might
have in comparison to the original.
Having said that, the movie is pretty straight (forward).
The characters and most of the story lines are cliche
and if you've seen similar movies, you will be expecting
most of it's turns and twists. Still the movie is enjoyable
enough and holds your attention, if you let it. This
of course is thanks to the cast on display here! :o) - kosmasp
