GODZILLA(GOJIRA)(1956)
The Americanization of the Japanese classic!! This was the first
"monster movie" that I ever saw, and it gave me nightmares for
literally years!!
Interestingly, I had never seen the original Japanese release
till 2022, and having seen it, I realize that this, while a
great movie, is much more watered down than that great film!
Still, Burr did a great job as a reporter who is basically
telling the story of the previous movie to Americans! Not as
riviting as the first, but still a good watch!! A-

Burr shows hardly any emotion. The saving grace is when they
let the movie run without Burr's narration but those moments
happen only occasionally. Luckily the best and longest is the
