OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN(2013)
Think Die Hard meets Rambo!! This is a total testosterone filled
movie from beginning to end!! The only bad part is that Morgan
Freeman really isn't in any of the action scenes! But he does an
excellent job as a substitute president!! The main dude here, Gerald
Butler, does a fine job, but the dude playing the President, Aaron
Eckhart, is quite boring really!! Other decent acting here are the
main bad dude, Rick Yune, along with the kid, Finley
Jacobsen!! A fun movie, no doubt!!
After a second watch(because I now had the trilogy) I stand by
my previous review: this is a good action film, with, for the
most part, pretty good acting and decent, if not totally unbelievable,
story! A-
From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
Having just seen the sequel "London Has Fallen" (I gave that
5/10) it really illustrated that Olympus Has Fallen is the much
better film.
To enjoy this film (or any of this genre) you have to accept
you are watching an all action, one good guy versus multiple
bad guys, testosterone nonsense.
You can then sit back with your popcorn (or a beer) and enjoy
the film as Butler saves the USA and the world just in the nick
of time from evil terrorists.
It is (sort of) plausible. It does develop characters and the baddie
is good and evil with a dastardly plot to blow up the U.S. nukes
in their silos.
A film to watch without having to think too much. Good guy
creams all the bad guys - one by one ! - comps-784-38265

A review from IMDb.com:
Sorry to spoil the party but I actually enjoyed this
movie.
OK it isn't Shakespeare or some deep meaning movie but
it isn't meant to be. OK it has lots of plot holes and
is pretty far fetched, as are most thrillers but I didn't
watch it for any of those reasons.
This a good paced thriller and Mr Butler carries it of
well. The action never stops from beginning to end and
the acting no where near as bad as others on here have
said.
I am only glad I didn't pay attention to all the negative
comments on here as this is a movie I would watch
again. - nicholls_les

A review from IMDb.com:
Once again I nearly didn't watch this one after reading
the reviews on here.
I read that the photography was bad and the direction
terrible. These experts really need to stop.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the photography
or direction.
This is good action flick that won't win any awards but
it's entertaining and that's whats its supposed to be.
I really wish people would stop being negative for the
sake of it.
It's like trolling. - carlcasso
