HITCHCOCK - FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT(1940)

Another great movie from Hitchcock! Actually shot before the US
entered WWII, this was incredibly prophetic! A newspaper man goes
to Great Britain to find out just what's going on there and what
the possibilities were of war! Well acted and a great story with
a lot of suspense! Very well done and great movie!!

Not only is this a great movie, but this release of it has some
really great extras, well worth a watch!! A

Alfred Hitchcock's second movie in the United States casts Joel
McCrea as a journalist in England on the verge of World War II.
Everyone with minimal knowledge of cinema knows about Hitch's
affinity for suspense, but "Foreign Correspondent" is a level
on its own. The Criterion DVD explained how they built some of
the sets and filmed the whole airplane sequence. This is truly
a masterful piece of filmmaking, and could only come from the
man who later gave us "Rear Window", "Psycho" and "The Birds".
