IT'S ALIVE!(1969)
In the set: 100 Greatest Sci-Fi Classics

With Tommy Kirk as the top billed actor
you would think that the main person would
be him!! But we instead got some really
horrible actors instead, with Tommy injurred
right in the beginning of the movie! Except
for Tommy, there are no likeable characters
in this at all! Anyway, some stupid people
from New York get lost in the forest and
run into a psychopath who it seems like
the only reason he exists is to feed his
newly found "It", a "prehisoric monster",
Massisaurus!

Just a little aside here, Tommy Kirk, known
for his many Disny films(Old Yeller, Babes
In Toyland, The Shaggy Dog, Swiss Family
Robinson, The Absent Minded Professor, THe
Son Of Flubber, The Hardy Boys, The
Misadventures Of Merlin Jones and his final
Disney movie The Monkey's Uncle, as well as
others) fell out of favor with Walt cause
Walt found out Tommy was gay and banned him
from all other Disney productions! So Tommy
had to settle on really low budget films
for the rest of his career! Very sad indeed!! C

I give this movie 1 star, but I mean it
in a good way. ;-) How do you rate a
hideously awful movie you have so much fun
watching? It makes "Plan 9" look good. It
makes "Manos" -- okay, never mind, not Manos.
"Eegah" maybe, but not "Manos." This is one
for the MST3K crowd. My brother and I had
stumbled across it on TV many years ago.
It was by far the worst movie we had seen
up to that point, and we cracked up all
the way through it.

Years passed, and we had completely
forgotten its title. I was on a slow quest
to try to find the title again. Finally,
finally, I described it in an online forum
(before IMDb) and someone told me the
title. The next quest was to find a copy.
Time passed, and my lovely bride got me
the DVD as a gift. We had to share it
with our horrible-movie-watching
