LAST VEGAS(2013)
What a great cast!!! Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman,
Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline star in this dramedy about
an older dude getting married to a younger woman, and gets
all of his old friends together for a party in Vegas!! Starts
out slow, and unfortunately, never speeds up!! Even when
they finally get to Vegas!! Michael Douglas is an older gent
who is getting married to a quite a bit younger woman,
and of course all of his OLD friends want to throw him
a bachelor party!! They all get into their own kind of trouble,
especially Michael!! The group meets up with an older lounge
singer(Mary Steenberger) who gets under his skin, as well
as De Niro's!!
This really does look like it was shot in Vegas, mostly at
at the Aria!! If you try to watch this as a comedy, you will
be really disappointed!! Although the scene with 50 Cent
is priceless!! Several cameo appearances by
well, and not so well, known people!! The best thing about
this one is that no one dies!!!!! A

While this is not just a movie for the "over 50" crowd,
it definitely plays toward them. It was definitely much
funnier than "The Guilt Trip," and not quite as predictable.
The actors were, of course, playing the roles they were
made for (and I wish Kevin Kline would do more, along
with Morgan Freedman.) I will say, Michael Douglas looked
awful, primarily because his skin tone was so orange. The
beginning riff on Kevin Kline's life was hysterical, and his
final action (or lack thereof) you saw coming a mile away.
However, the secret story between DeNaro & Douglas
was good, and I wasn't quite sure in the beginning which
way Mary Steenburgen was going to jump. (By the way,
is it a law in Hollywood that all actresses must get a face
lift?) Anyway, if you want a "feel good" movie with a good
moral message and many a chuckle plus a few gaffaws,
go see Last Vegas. - Snook Shop
