LETHAL WEAPON SET

The complete collection of the Lethal Weapon movies
starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover!

LETHAL WEAPON(1987):

What a great start to arguably one of the two greatest
series of cop movies, EVER(along with Die Hard!)! Starring
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, they play a pair of cops that
are thrown together as partners, with Gibson playing a man
riddled with guilt about the death of his wife! Gibson's
madman actions make most people think he's insane, and
he plays this part to the tee!! A

A review from an IMDb.com customer:

I've seen Lethal Weapon over 100 times and it just keeps
getting better! Mel Gibson plays a crazed cop who teams
up with a family cop (Danny Glover). At first, they can't
stand each other, but as the movie rolls along, they end
up with this type of bond. I'm sure that most people or
everyone has seen this wonderful movie. It has plenty
of action and violence. I love the chemistry between
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. And who could forget,
Gary Busey, Mr. Joshua, a VERY fitting role for the
wonderful actor. He couldn't have been replaced for
that role. No one could have done a better job than
Busey. Go Gary! I love the end! One of the best fitting
scenes in film history. I also admire Gibson and Busey
doing their own stunts, and studying martial arts, just
to make 4 nights of filming a cult fighting scene for
this excellent movie. This one is definitely a winner!
If you haven't seen this superb film, then I STRONGLY
recommend that you do! Great film! - filmnut81

LETHAL WEAPON 2(1989):

Again a great outing for the boys in suits!! Still
bantering back and forth, this one has the
wonderful Joe Pesci in it! He adds a lot of
humor relief, as well as being an integral part
of the whole plot! Just another great movie!! A

A review from IMDb.com:

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover return to kick heads
and shoot bad guys for the second time, as Riggs
and Murtaugh, the "Oscar and Felix" of law enforcement
in "Lethal Weapon 2." This time around, the boys are
forced to become the 3 Stooges when they are assigned
to guard a feisty, foul-mouthed federal witness named
Leo Getz (the frantic Joe Pesci) from a group of sadistic
Afrikaner thugs (led by the usually dark-natured character
actor Joss Acklund). At the same time, Riggs meets a
new love named Rika (the hot Patsy Kensit), who happens
to be a pawn in the villain's dangerous games.

The action is faster and more furious in this sequel to
the slam-bang original. Even the banter gets a boost,
thanks to the added comedic riff by Pesci. Watch for
his slightly annoying, yet hilarious speech on a Subway
tunafish sandwich! - coverme6

LETHAL WEAPON 3(1992):

Another extremely entertaining entry into the series
of movies, again this one has all the particulars from
the previous movies, though Joe Pesci doesn't have
quite as big a role in this! Still, a great story, great
action and great movie!! A

A review from IMDb.com:

The third movie in the Lethal Weapon series is once
again a great addition. This film is perhaps the best
of the bunch. Maybe the first film is a tad better. As
I said for the review of the second Lethal Weapon,
the crew knows how to make these successful films.

After a disastrous accident, Riggs and Murtaugh have
been stripped of their sergeant status. They are now
patrolmen and they only have the power to cite
jaywalkers. But things gets out of control when a
former cop decides to wreak havoc.

The acting once again is fantastic. Glover, Gibson,
and Pesci all had great chemistry. The addition of
Rene Russo adds more stardom to the cast.

Richard Donner decided to add more comedy to
this action-laden film. Let me be the one to tell
you that it works out evenly. There is plenty of
action to keep the comedy in check.

Overall, this is the a great piece of work. As
people say, the third time is the charm. I rate
this film 9/10. - g-bodyl

Cast of Lethal Weapon 3:

Mel Gibson ... Martin Riggs
Danny Glover ... Roger Murtaugh
Joe Pesci ... Leo Getz
Rene Russo ... Lorna Cole
Stuart Wilson ... Jack Travis
Steve Kahan ... Captain Murphy
Darlene Love ... Trish Murtaugh
Traci Wolfe ... Rianne Murtaugh
Damon Hines ... Nick Murtaugh
Ebonie Smith ... Carrie Murtaugh
Gregory Millar ... Tyrone
Nick Chinlund ... Hatchett
Jason Rainwater ... Young Cop (as Jason Meshover-Iorg)
Alan Scarfe ... Herman Walters
Delores Hall ... Delores

LETHAL WEAPON 4(1998):

This is a great ending to the series of movies!!
In my opinion, the best of the series, with some
really funning parts, especially Pesci and Rock! A+

A review from an IMDb.com customer:

This movie is the end of a series which spanned
almost two decades.

This time around Riggs (Gibson) is facing three
very personal problems. 1) Age is catching up to
him, 2) his g/f is pregnant and he's facing being
a daddy, and 3) he's facing the dilemma of wanting
to remarry. Also, Murtaugh (Glover) is about to
be a grand-daddy to a baby by his oldest daughter,
and she is secretly married to Detective Butters
(Chris Rock), which everyone is keeping a secret
from him.

Add to this the fact that both they are now taking
on one of the most powerful crime syndicates in
the world, the Chinese Triads, in an effort to stop
slave trading and money laundering. The task of
a bad guy this time goes to Jet Li, who made his
American debut (at least from an American Film
Company) in this movie. Yes, this is the movie
which launched him here in the states, and he
deserved it.

This movie is as good as the rest of them, though
nothing beats part 2 in my opinion. Lethal Weapon
4 really hits home on a lot of subjects, such as
facing responsibility, to coming to terms with who
you are. And it ended the series in a way that
makes you smile and love it even more.

I give it a 9 out of 10. - bujinbudoka

Cast of Lethal Weapon 4:

Mel Gibson ... Martin Riggs
Danny Glover ... Roger Murtaugh
Joe Pesci ... Leo Getz

Chris Rock ... Detective Lee Butters
Jet Li ... ah Sing Ku
Steve Kahan ... Captain Ed Murphy
Kim Chan ... Benny 'Uncle Benny' Chan
Darlene Love ... Trish Murtaugh
Traci Wolfe ... Rianne Murtaugh Butters
Eddy Ko ... Hong, Chinese Refugee
Jack Kehler ... State Department Man
Calvin Jung ... Detective Ng
Damon Hines ... Nick Murtaugh
Ebonie Smith ... Carrie Murtaugh
