MEN IN BLACK MOVIES
The three movies in the Men In Black series!
MEN IN BLACK(1997):
Lee Jones are the Men In Black, a group of guys(and
gals) out to protect the Earth from unauthorized
aliens! With Tony Shalhoub and Rip Torn as co-stars,
this movie is a barrel of fun!! Very inventive when
it first came out! A
A review from IMDb.com:
"Men in Black" and "Galaxy Quest" are in my mind the
best sci-fi comedies ever made, because they are both
hilarious parodies of two different cultures. Whereas
the latter spoofed obsessed fans who take sci-fi
entertainment WAY too seriously, this one spoofs the
paranoid, tin-foil-hat brand of conspiracy theorists.
It has funny characters, witty lines, and does not at
all take itself seriously.
There are a lot of small details that can take multiple
viewings to catch. One thing I found funnier the second
time I watched it is the scene where Will Smith has just
been severely lectured by his boss in the interrogation
room when Tommy Lee Jones enters, asks a few questions,
and tells Smith to come with him. Smith: "I can't, there's
still a lot of paperwork to fill out." Jones: "No, the paperwork
is all taken care of." Smith's boss (walking by): "Hey, nice
work, Edwards!" This is one of many quick, funny scenes
that you only really get if you're paying attention.
All the actors do a good job, too. I thought Rip Torn was
the funniest character, and Edgar the bug was hilariously
gross. Linda Fiorentino was one of the coolest female
characters ever. She put Ripley to shame. Every time I
watch this, I want to marry her.
Overall, it's a great comedy that is clever and fun all the
way through. 8/10 stars. - Chromium_5

but there are several added personalities that make
this one all the more fun(Peter Graves, Michael Jackson,
Martha Stewart)! All in all another great movie!! A
A review from IMDb.com:
Plus it has the always reliable Rosario Dawson in it.
Just for her you've got to love the movie (or at least
not hate it, in my opinion). But this movie delivers on
the same formula that made the first one a success.
The earnest Tommy Lee Jones, who apparently had
no idea, why people would think he is funny, or it's
just a rumor. Whatever the truth, his straight face
against the clownish Will Smith works perfectly as
it did in MiB too.
For some reason (maybe creative, maybe because
it didn't succeed to top expectations), this was the
last MI(I)B people had the pleasure watching for
awhile. But of course a third one would be on the
way. I wouldn't say it's necessary to watch the first
one to get this, but it's always good to have some
back-story. - kosmasp

The last(as of 1/17/2015) of the Men in Black
The story line is pretty basic, alien dude decides
to change history by going back in time to alter
some important facts in Men In Black history! A
good script, great acting, and again superb special
effects make this a lot of fun to watch!
The disc has a couple of special features that are
pretty decent and fun to watch also! A
A review from IMDb.com:
I sort of liked the first two movies. I was so young
at the time and now I was just starving for some
sci-fi and found out that this one had a rather good
rating for being a comedy/sci-fi movie. I decided
to check it out and I'm glad I did.
This movie is really funny, has an interesting plot
and just doesn't really fall too far into cliches. It's
Hollywood all right but this one has a way of staying
interesting without having to resort to stupid cliche
moments or stretched out fight scenes. I loved fight
scenes when I was a kid but maaan have I had
enough... This one does it the perfect amount of
time.
To summarize: This movie has the things you expect,
but it does most of it better than you'd expect. I was
taken aback and my low expectations really payed off
and then some. Well worth a watch if you need to get
away from the heavy drama shows we have around us
now all the time. - voehman
