MIDNIGHT MOVIE HORROR FEST #2
Four questionable horror movies!! There are
closed captioning on these! Also, there's
actually one more movie than there was
advertised on the set(The Rage)!!
Shallow Ground(2004)
here! The story was interesting enough, and
there was a considerable amount of nudity!
Not great, but not terrible either! Just
don't expect a sensible ending!!! B
A review from IMDb.com:
I guess no one really expects horror flicks
to make complete sense. This "film" leaves any
sense behind in the first 5 minutes. There
are enough holes in story to drive a fleet
of semi-trucks thru.
Although there is some originality, the
script writer tries to be too clever for
anyone's good. There are so many "sub plots"
the main storyline loses any coherence\continuity
it becomes too much work to care about main
characters\story.
For those wanting to know what this is
about. done wrong \ revenge \ get to it
already will ya
I could have found a better way to waste
an hour or two. - I guess no one really

A review from IMDb.com:
Man, I love classic horror. Add monstrous,
blood-soaked gore, and I am hooked.
This flick has it all!
A thorough mix of modern cinema and old-time
thrill, this is my kind of movie. It's scary,
violent, and sometimes vile! If you want a
warm body pressed against you in the dark,
this is the movie to watch. Pick your favorite
partner, make a cool drink, pop some popcorn,
and get ready for business.
It's a fun, bloody, classic ride from zero
to one thousand in no seconds flat!
Kudos to Robert Kurtzman and Compmany. - daijen222

A review from IMDb.com:
This is one of those interesting, but unsatisfying,
Movies with a very short running time that seems
pasted together and released without much faith
or confidence. There just isn't enough time to
develop the many characters and things unfold
with a choppy and vague exposition.
The performances are all fine and the drug
addicted cop played by Claire Forlani is superb.
Lauren Bacall is also quite believable as an
elderly lady with wit and dignity. The film
is let down only in it's inability to flesh
out the story and deliver it with coherent
and cognitive observations.
What is here is pretty compelling but what
is left out is baffling. It plays like an
unfinished throw-away or a mangled
manuscript that needs a fix. Too
bad. - LeonLouisRicci

A review from IMDb.com:
Please disregard most of the negative reviews here.
I'm a 35 year-old horror fan, so I've been around
the block and back. I LOVE horror and zombie
movies... I love Romero, but also understand
that Romero isn't the be all and end all (in
fact watch "Last Man on Earth" and then try
telling me that "Night of the Living Dead"
is original ;) ).
Severed is a GREAT film - the ending is
unfortunately rushed, probably due to budget,
but PLEASE watch this film and enjoy it for
what it is... fun, frantic and suspenseful.
The teens dissing this movie probably
reckoned there weren't enough sh!t
Saw-style death scenes.
Well done, filmmakers... I'll be looking
out for your other efforts. - Doug_Turner
