The complete collection of the Mission: Impossible movies
starring Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames(1,2,5) and Simon Pegg(3,4,5),
minus 5, which is still under production as of 3/8/15!
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE(1996):
This is a great movie, but unfortunately it has one
of the worst twists in celluloid history for anyone
who has watched the original TV series, which makes
it impossible to forget the ending!!!! Other than that,
it's a great start to the franchise! With Tom Cruise
and Ving Rhames, a must watch for all MI fans! A-
A review from an IMDb.com customer:
For those who have not seen the original Mission
Impossible, it is a real shame. While the other flicks
offer plenty of explosions and cool action sequences,
the original remains the best for it's interesting plot
twists, some decent acting, and a well developed
element of suspense that's lacking in the later pictures.
To reveal any of the plot would be a disservice: it
certainly has some pretty interesting occurrences
that should be seen for full effect. What really makes
this great though is De Palma's direction. Unlike the
later flicks, key scenes are drawn out: there is a real
Spense of suspense that is rarely achieved. Three key
action scenes come to mind, and there all extremely
cool: it's just a shame that Criuse couldn't enlist the
services of more experienced director's later in the
franchise.
A memorable, well executed thriller. - benturkalj

Not your typical Mission: Impossible type show, it
doesn't deal with espionage at all, just a straight
forward story of greed/love! Still, not a bad movie,
with Cruise returning, as well as Ving Rhames. Both
put in good performances, and the action(though not
as prevalent as in the first movie) is well done! B+
A review from IMDb.com:
Anyone who watches movies like this and expects
fully realistic stunts and a bulletproof plot is a quite
frankly an idiot. If you want to give this movie 1
star , where the hell does Arnie's "Commando" come
on the ratings of "laws of realism do not apply" films
and as for any of the Bond films when it comes to a
realistic plot... well. Personally, this film is an
exciting action movie with plenty of visually awesome
stunts, quality soundtrack and a couple of nice
surprises. Where this film does loose points with
me though, is the cheesy slow mo scenes and lines.
It really does badly interrupt an otherwise great
action movie, which you should see.

More back to the spy business, but still a love story
intertwined! Cruise and Rhames return again, with
another good performance by both! This one adds
Laurence Fishburne who is always good, and Simon
Pegg(Scotty in the new Star Trek movies)! Pretty
good movie, yet still not up to the bar set by the
the first one! B+
A review from IMDb.com:
I saw this as a sneak preview with my fraternity. I
was hesitant to see it because of how bad Mission
Impossible 2 was, but I think it more than makes up
for the 2nd flop and I would even argue that it's
better than the first. The action really is non-stop,
and there aren't any cheesy love scenes slowing
anything down. The bad guy doesn't change every
five minutes either. The plot moves quickly but it
doesn't lose the audience at all. You don't need to
have seen either of the first two to understand
what is going on (I can't remember the plot from
either). Lots of guns, loud explosions, cool gadgets
and fun locations. I can remember on more than
one occasion where the audience clapped or reacted
to the action. It does everything an action movie
should do very well. I would highly advise anyone
who likes action movies to go see it. Even if you
think Tom Cruise is a little insane, MI:III is extremely
enjoyable. - baseballrhs

A MUCH better film than the last two, this brings
back the feel of the IMF that we all remember from
the series, and the first film!! Great story, acting,
music and settings! Just an all-around great movie!! A
A review from an IMDb.com customer:
I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise as a person and that
sometimes influences my opinion on a film. Even
with this point in the back of my mind I must say
that Tom Cruise still got it. He's a fantastic actor
who doesn't even chose to have a stunt double in
MI4. I couldn't even think of trying some of these.
Now to the main film. You may think it's going to
be just like all the other action movies and all the
other Mission: Impossible parts. But with every
new part of the series it gets even more spectacular:
the equipment is beyond imagination, the locations
are mind blowing, the secret plans are super clever,
the characters are cool and smart. Also the trailer
was that good that I just wanted to see this at the
movies and couldn't wait for it to be released. I
haven't seen any MI film at the movies and this
was definitely a great decision. The best action
film in years.
I'm giving it a 10/10 because there was nothing
I didn't like about this movie and it was worth
every cent! - carry-92

all the way through! Perhaps because I actually paid
attention! LOL! Anyway, well worth a watch! A
A review from an IMDb.com customer:
ROGUE NATION has a lot of excellent action sequences
which make it one of the best action movies of all
time. Tom Cruise drives all the action with energy,
while Christopher McQuarrie directs with full
intensity. Rebecca Ferguson is a worthy inclusion
in the cast. She excels in the action sequences,
making her one of the top action heroines in today's
times. The entire cast acts with the same energy
and intensity. Action sequences elevate the film
to a higher level. The chase sequences are so
breakneck that you'd have to be an ignorant viewer
not to like them. There are good twists as well,
and the scale is huge as always. The MI franchise
has always improved on the next film, and this
one proves me right. - Prashast_Singh

A review from an IMDb.com customer:
Thrilling from start to finish with intrigue, action
and romance crackling throughout, this is the new
standard in non-superhero action films. Add to that
Tom Cruise doing his own crazy stunts and it is
indisputable that Mission: Impossible is better
than Bond, better than Bourne. - MR_Heraclius
