MUSICALS - DIRTY DANCING(1987)

A coming of age story about a young girl(Jennifer Grey)
who's been a wallflower all her life and suddenly she has
some attention from a boy(Patrick Swayze)!! He's a dance
instructor in a mountain resort hired to keep the girls
happy!! Her father(Jerry Orbach) is completely against a
relationship growing between a lowly dude like Johnny and
his debutante daughter!

The music in this is some of the greatest music made in the
sixties: Be My Baby by The Ronettes, Big Girls Don't Cry by
The Four Seasons, Do You Love Me by The Contours, Stay by
Maurice Williams and The Zodiacs, Wipe Out by The Safaris,
Hey Baby by Bruce Channel, Some Kind Of Wondrful by The
Drifters, Will You Love Me Tomarrow? by The Shirells,
Love Is Strange by Mickey and Sylvia & In The Still Of
The Night by The Five Satins!

And of course, one of the greatest songs ever made, Time
Of My Life by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes along with
Hungry Eyes by Eric Carman!! The story itself isn't Earth
shaking, but the scenery is wonderful and the dance routines
are great! Also here are Jack Weston(High Road To China)
& Wayne Knight(Seinfeld, 3rd Rock From The Sun)! A

From IMDb.com:

This movie endures the test of time, and remains a classic. Dirty
Dancing, a movie about a girl named Baby vacationing at a Catskill
Mountains Resort, is a fantastic movie. The music is amazing on its
own, let alone the amazing dance sequences to go along with it.
The story is about Baby growing up and falling in love for the first
time. And as a result, her relationships with the people closest to
her have to evolve and change – as everyone is forced to confront
their prejudices and assumptions. It's a perfect coming of age
story. - Garrett Raakman
