This release has several specials on it, well
worth watching!!
Grace Kelly is almost un-recognizable in this at
the start!! She plays a poor little rich girl
that feels the world owes her everything that
she already has or has had!! To say she's a chip
on her shoulder is an understatement, more like
a redwood! Bing plays the ex-husband that just
happens to be having a jazz festival right next
to where she's getting re-married!! Frank plays
a news hound for a sleeze rag and starts falling
for the lady!!
This has one of the all-time most beautiful songs
in it - True Love, done by Bing and Grace Kelly!!
Another great song is "My Little One", which Bing
sings to his ex-wife's little sister!! Also here
is the absolutely wonderful Louie Armstrong(Sachmo)
who does several numbers!!
A MUCH better film than I expected, with great
performances by Bing, Frank, Celeste and Grace!!
And the supporting cast was, well, supportive,
with Louis leading the way!! A

Correct, it is not "Philadelphia Story." No Hepburn.
No Grant. But it does have the beautiful Grace Kelly
and Bing Crosby at his peak. It is a silly movie with
non-stop interactions between characters, people still
carrying torches after divorce, and some beautiful Cole
Porter songs. One of the most gorgeous songs ever written
is "True Love" done as a duet with Crosby and Kelly.
She actually sings and the song is just plain pretty,
with one of the most touching messages of any song ever
written. Of course, everything goes haywire for a while,
all the participants running into each other. And in
