The two Over-The-Hill Gang movies, which at
first look seems like Disney movies! But they're
not!
UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NO CLOSED CAPTIONING
ON THESE DISCS!!!
THE OVER-THE-HILL GANG MOVIE SET
THE OVER-THE-HILL GANG(1969):
A lot of old timers from days of yore starring
in a western about trying to bring law and order
to a pretty corrupt town! Walter Brennan, Chill
Wills, Andy Devine, Edgar Buchanan, Pat O'Brien,
and Jack Elam star in this tribute to simpler times!
Also in this is Ricky Nelson, who plays the local
newspaper man, and his wife Kris, who are the main
focus of the movement to clean up the town! Fun to
see such icons getting to strut their stuff again! B+
From an IMDb.com customer:
A well made TV movie with a typically short
performance by Gypsy Rose Lee. This is a
somewhat believable western with good
writing, acting and direction. Gypsy Rose's
part is much too short, but is a pleasure to
see. I found the ending a little sad, despite
the fact that it should be a happy one. I
would recommend this film to any fan of
Gypsy Rose, or of western style movies. - gypsyjae

From IMDb.com:
this sequel to the original movie was a bit better,
i thought. the story was more interesting, and there
were more funny moments. there is less action than
the first one,but that didn't make much difference
to me. the same characters are back. (Nash Crawford)
Walter Brennan, (Jason Fitch)Edgar Buchanan, Amos
Polk(Andy Devine) and Gentleman George Agnew(Chill
Wills) are all in good form here, but it is the addition
of Fred Astaire which makes the movie. Astaire steals
the show,in my opinion. like the first movie, this one
is a lot of fun, and suitable for most family members,
probably anyone 10 or older. for me, The Over the
Hill Gang Rides Again is a 6.3/10 - disdressed12
