PHANTOM FROM 10,000 LEAGUES, THE(1955)

The Phantom in this isn't seen alot! However,
the story line is fun and the acting is a lot
better than I figured on! Good picture and
sound. C+

Dr. Taylor arrives at a beach to investigate
the death cause by a sea monster, the Phantom
from 10,000 Leagues. This sea monster is
protecting/guarding an underwater deposit
of uranium ore. I think the sea monster is
a mutation, created by Dr. Whalen, and is
a cross between a number of different sea
creatures - but what? Eventually, Dr. Whalen
destroys the monster and himself in an explosion.

The movie is not very good, there are no special
effects, and sea monster is even less convincing.
I have had the movie on VHS for a number of years
and just recently purchase it on DVD. The quality
on DVD is no different than that of the VHS version.
There is something about movies like this that
makes me pull it from the back of my library and
watch it every 6 months or so. - Ned "java_ned"
