The first three Robocops with Peter Weller in the first
two, and Robert John Burke in the third!! There is
a fourth Robocop(tittled simply Robocop) but we don't
own it!
ROBOCOP(1987):
An interesting, if not predictable movie about a cop
who gets shot up and then turned into a robot! (Remind
you of anyone? Can we say Steve Austin!!??) Anyway,
until he becomes a robot, this movie is actually pretty
boring, but then picks up speed as it goes along! Not
great, but not terrible! B
A review from IMDb.com:
Robocop is an unbelieveable experience. I haven't
watched the film since 1988 and the other day I
recieved it on DVD. So I eagerly popped it in
the player and BOOM!!! The only way I can
describe Robocop is ultraviolence. The film
is so over the top and out of control. The
film speaks of a future where big companies
will run the governmental defense. Those
times are upon us more and more everyday.
Paul Verhoeven has made one of the most
important science fiction films ever made
and it's a brillant piece of cinema. - Peach-2

Actually not a bad follow-up to the first movie
this one has several interesting aspects to it
that the first one didn't, such as a maniacal
clone of Robocop, a kid who acts 20 years
older than he is, and commercials that are
quite humorous! This one ends quite abruptly
leaving no doubt that they intended another
sequel! Unfortunately, Weller would not return
for the third installment! B
A review from IMDb.com:
Robocop 2 is a very amusing movie that is
often times unfairly criticized. It is obviously
not as good as the first film, but its still a darn
good sequel. This movie, just like the first,
always gets made fun of and I can't see why.
I think these movies are just so entertaining.
Here's my two cents.
I am a huge fan of these Sci-Fi/Action movies,
and Robocop is definitely one of the coolest in
the genre. The first film is a classic, but most
people don't seem too fond of it's sequel. Robocop
2 is dark, cruel, and gruesome, but it never misses
it's chance to fit in a joke. The humor in this movie
is just as good as the first's, if not better. The acting
is a little poor at times, but you can't expect too
much out of a film like this. Robocop 2's story is
less diverting, but the special effects are superior
to the first. This movie has a much better climax
than the original, and the final moments of violence
at the ending have some of the best special effects
I have ever seen(without the use of cgi)in a movie.
My problem is that people always accuse films
like this of not being realistic enough. What
should you expect from a title like 'Robocop 2"?
People need to just sit back and suspend disbelief
for a movie like this. The Robocop movies are
pure bloody fun, that's all. I recommend this
movie to anyone who likes violent 'machine
vs. machine' warfare, and being a fan of the
first movie couldn't hurt either. - Waynebiggie88

Again, really not too bad of a movie, just not quite
as good as the first!! With a new man playing Robocop
who doesn't quite have the polish that Peter Weller
had! Still and all, a decent movie! B-
A review from IMDb.com:
Although this final installment of Robocop doesn't
measure up to the original 1987 masterpiece, or
even the 1990 sequel, I've got a special place for
it in my heart. That would be the "wtf did I just
watch" chamber.
If you remember the old 80s TV action shows...
like "The A-Team", "Spenser: For Hire", "MacGyver",
etc... you're halfway there. These were shows
that didn't have a lot of substance but were fun
to watch anyway. The plots were mostly predictable
and the execution was corny, but that's precisely
why we watch them.
Robocop 3 is an unusual return to that style (whether
by design or not). Plot is linear, scenes are bright,
dialogue is snippy but not particularly witty, and
dramatic/disturbing scenes are glossed over, almost
as if it's made for a PG-13 audience (WHOA, I just
realized this IS PG-13... while the first 2 films were
rated R).
Yet the film also injects spots of extreme violence
and creepy dark humor... like the 2 or 3 "comedic"
scenes of people committing suicide, which did
make me laugh out loud, I admit. Those were the
scenes I liked best because they remained true
to the original dark satire of the original Robocop.
I still don't view the Robocop trilogy as an action
story but rather a brilliant dark comedy. Robocop
3 has the same bizarre news briefs and hilarious
commercials peppered throughout, and although
it's not as thick as in the original, the vibe is still
there. But the overall feeling is one of campy 80s.
Check out the hilarious 80s hairstyles & clothes
(denim jackets... dear lord I thought we burned
all of them!). Really bizarre. If the director
intended it to be deliberately ironic, he's a
freakin genius. - rooprect
