A serial from the 30s!!!

SHADOW OF THE EAGLE, THE SERIAL(1932)

This is a little shorter than most of the other
serials in this set, at 3 Hours and 38 minutes!

A character known as "The Eagle" seems to have
returned to get even with those responsible for
shooting him down during the war and stealing
an invention that he invented!! But things may not
be as they seem!! Wayne plays an arael specialist
who gets in the middle of the whole scheme! B

This serial film is fun to watch, if you can put yourself
in the mind of a kid in 1932 chomping popcorn & watching
this on the big screen in his local theater.

The real value of the film to me is the scene in which
an airplane attacks Wayne & his girlfriend as they stand
on a deserted road. Compare it to the crop dusting scene
in Hitchcock's "North by Northwest" and there is little
doubt in my mind that Hitch stole the scene from Beebe. - kooser
