A serial from the 30s!!!

UNDERSEA KINGDOM SERIAL(1936)

I have seen this, but I find no other copy of the
serial or movie in our collection!! Not sure what
this means!!

Anyway, this is, as Rainey says, like a Flash Gordon
serial! And as he says, a lot of perhaps inintended
humor in that they have deveolped flight, as well as
video and a tank, but they still ride around on horses
and chariots!! Done quite well and great production
values! Well worth a look!! B+

intentionally funny and other times non-intentional.
It's a riot - really fun to watch. I have a feeling
the kids back then really enjoyed this one. It's kinda
feels like you are watching the original Flash Gordon
series in a way.

What's really fun - watching these guys in their
costuming... very much a comic book brought to life
on screen - in particular "Wolf Man" Lon Chaney
Jr. - just a treat to see this serial.

If you are into the sci-fi superhero B-films/serials
then you should like Undersea Kingdom (1936) - this
one is really crazy fun.
