STAR TREK 13: Beyond(2016)
Carrying on with the "this isn't my Star Trek", it is
still a good watch, and even has a moment to give
homage to Leonard Nimoy!! While taking some much
needed shore leave at an advanced space station, an
unknown species shows up to ask for help for her and
her ship that went down on a nearby planet!! In the
middle of the whole thing, Kirk is contemplating retirement,
and Spock is also having personal problems!! As is always
the case, the mission doesn't go as planed, and the
Enterprise and crew find themselves in grave danger!
The story has a lot of plot holes, and some of the cgi
has problems, but over all the movie is watchable, but
again, just don't compare it to the REAL Star Trek, the
one that Gene Roddenberry envisioned!!
These replacement actors taking over their much loved
iconic actors are getting better at their roles, with the best
being Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy!!
And who the Hell thought up the credit music????!!!!! B+

I thought the first Star Trek reboot was OK even though
it lacked the brightness and edge of the first films and
especially TNG series. The second film "Into darkness"
was more action and less brain with lots of illogical plot
holes between. And then this.. WTF? The crew is acting
total irresponsible for the rest of the ship members.
There are lots of stupid moments like the "Beastie boys"
scene and the rest of the ending that made no sense at
all. Lots of action scenes with fist fights instead of
advanced technology. The plot is silly and thin: follow
a unknown alien girl to rescue her crew with the best
ship in the fleet into something total undiscovered and
without any research of the dangers ahead. Worst rescue
operation ever! I give 3 stars for good CGI and some nice
looking flight scenes but the rest of the film is
