GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY(2014)

So, I'd never heard of The Guardians Of The Galaxy until
this movie came out, so I had no expectations at all for
this movie. Well, I can tell you that this is a great movie,
full of character, action, humor, action and just plain fun!
(Did I mention ACTION?!)!! And there's some pretty great
music here too!The characters comprising TGOTG are a motley
group at best, but work well together in the end! Well worth
the price of admission!! A

Guardians of the Galaxy is an entertaining movie. Fast
paced, well-packed and full of SFX battle scenes, it
makes it an enjoyable experience. The characters
are well developed, which you would expect from
a Marvel movie.

The storyline is based on the retrieval of a mystical
orb in far corners of the Universe. Different groups
try to obtain this orb for various motives. Money,
Power, Prestige or Greed are amongst them. If
you're looking for deep philosophical insights,
then you're in the wrong place. But the story is
strong enough to keep you excited.

Main actors Chris Pratt & Zoe Saldana have a bit
of an alien romance going on, and actor Michael
Rooker convinces as a universal black market
salesman. On top of that Benicio Del Toro plays
"The Collector" who treasures intriguing objects
from around the universe. It made me wonder
if he owns a stash of vinyl records.

It has a resemblance to the remake of Star Trek
hich was released in 2009, where the ongoing
battle between good & evil plays a central role
and cheeky comedy makes you appreciate the
characters.

All factors considered, Guardians of the Galaxy
is entertainment, and has a storyline that's not
boring. But don't expect it to go under your skin,
because it's not going to.
