THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD SEASON 3:

Not too bad for an old b/w television show! But I need to
watch the whole series to give a detailed review!! Sadly,
there are no closed captions!

EPISODE 1: THE SALT KING(Sept. 30, 1957):

Someone has stolen the latest shipment of salt and the
blame is going on to Robin and the men! Turns out that
Robin and John saw the shipment go though Sherwood
Forrest, and we see who the real culprits are!! Greeds
the name of the game here!! A

EPISODE 2: A TUCK IN TIME(Oct. 07, 1957):

A dude shows up near Nottingham with what we today would
call firecrackers! The dude isn't just anyone, he's the
"evil twin" of Friar Tuck!!! His plan is to sell this new
found weapon to Prince John!! A

EPISODE 3: PEPPER(Oct. 14, 1957):

A young and foolish princess thinks she's in love with
Prince John and leaves the safety of Marian's abode! The
good prince, of course, sees an opportunity to hold the
princess and use it against King Richard! A

EPISODE 4: THE CHARTER(Oct. 21, 1957):

An old gent happens to know where a charter that would
limit John's power if he should become king is on his
deathbed and won't tell where he hid the charter! His
nephew and the sheriff hae concocted a scheeme to find
out where it is!! Of course the whole reason is for
money!! A

EPISODE 5: A CHANGE OF HEART(Oct. 28, 1957):

A certain Lord Humphrey owns some land that a group of
peaceful people who just want to enjoy the land that they've
been on for centuries! Friar Tuck finds out about the problem
and calls for Robin's help! A

EPISODE 6: BROTHER BATTLE(Nov. 04, 1957):

A one Brother Wootan shows up in Sherwood Forest and
wants to start a school! Little John becomes a student!
The sheriff becomes aware of the school and plans to put
a stop to it! A

EPISODE 7: MY BROTHER'S KEEPER(Nov. 11, 1957):

A "Cain and Able" episode! In this, an older brother kills
his younger brother out of jealousy and promptly puts the
blame on Robin Hood!! A

EPISODE 8: AN APPLE FOR THE ARCHER(Nov. 18, 1957):

A young man who's looking to get married to his childhood
sweetheart is in danger of loosing her if he can't learn
to use a bow!! It's pretty obvious where Robin comes in! A

EPISODE 9: THE ANGRY VILLAGE(Nov. 25, 1957):

During a drought in Sherwood, a village being robbed of their
grain blame Robin and John!! A

EPISODE 10: THE MARK(Dec. 02, 1957):

So a certain Sir Blaise plans to build a fortress on his
land in the guise of being a church!! The mason learns
of his plans and says he won't do it! Blaise promptly locks
the mason away and Robin plans a way to get him out! A

EPISODE 11: THE BRIDE OF ROBIN HOOD(Dec. 09, 1957):

And it isn't Marian!!! But she does plan to rectify the
situation!! A

EPISODE 12: TO BE A STUDENT(Dec. 16, 1957):

A young man who wants to be in the army and one who wants to
go to the university! But because of the fathers, neither one
may get what they want! In steps Robin Hood! A

EPISODE 13: THE CHRISTMAS GOOSE(Dec. 23, 1957):

A Christmas episode! And a rather silly one I might say!! B

EPISODE 14: THE CHALLENGE OF THE BLACK KNIGHT(Dec. 30, 1957):

One of Robin's men's son is having a birthday and his father
takes him out hunting as a birthday present! Unfortunately they
meet up with a "black knight" and things get out of hand in a
hurry! A

EPISODE 15: THE RIVALS(Jan. 06, 1958):

The sheriff is levying a new tax quite often and it's causing
much strain on the people! So his new plan is to dress up a
group of the prisoners he's got like Robin Hood's men and go
around robbing everyone, including the poor!! A

EPISODE 16: THE PROFITEER(Jan. 13, 1958):

A village is starving do to a blight and one of the men goes
off to find Robin Hood to see if he can help!! A

EPISODE 17: KNIGHT ERRANT(Jan. 20, 1958):

Marian has a new suiter, much to Robin's consternation!!
However the Sheriff has other plans for said knight!! A

EPISODE 18: THE HEALING HAND(Jan. 27, 1958):

A charlaton happens upon the Blue Boar while Little John
happens to be there with a stomach ache and he gives John a
"miracle cure"! Sure enough John gets better, but then the
"doctor" gets into trouble at a fair and John steps in and
gets arrested! A

EPISODE 19: ONE MAN'S MEAT(Feb. 03, 1958):

A friend of Robin's thinks he's fond the new miriacle food
that will replace all others! Basically it's just wheat! A+

EPISODE 20: TOO MANY ROBINS(Feb. 10, 1958):

A man who is trying to impress his wanna be girlfriend starts
posing as Robin Hood, which is about to become his undoing!!! A

EPISODE 21: THE CRUSADERS(Feb. 17, 1958):

There's to be a reunion of the knights who fought together
in France, but the Sheriff gets wind of the whole plan and
sets a trap for Robin and the rest!! A

EPISODE 22: CASTLE IN THE AIR(Feb. 24, 1958):

Robin and Marian are invited to a anniversary party of Sir
Richard and his wife!!! Things go awry when a certain Sir
Sir Adrian who challenges Sir Richard to a game of chance
which he loses, but Robin thinks is rigged!! A

EPISODE 23: THE DOUBLE(Mar. 03, 1958):

Another plan of the Sheriff's to kill the rightful heir!
And he plans to use a double of Robin's to do it! A

EPISODE 24: ROMAN GOLD(Mar. 10, 1958):

A historian crosses paths with Robin and his men, Robin
offers the services of them to help the man in his search
of an archeological did, thinking that there may be treasure
there! Of course the bad sheriff gets wind of all this and
sticks his nose in the whole business! A

EPISODE 25: THE GHOST THAT FAILED(Mar. 17, 1958):

Some local farmers fear that there are ghosts in the old
Simon Dexter's land! They get Friar Tuck and Robin involved! A

EPISODE 26: AT THE SIGN OF THE BLUE BOAR(Mar. 24, 1958):

A tailor is jealous of the owner of the Blue Boar because he
does much better than him! He goes to the Sheriff who plans to
take over the tavern by taxing them out of business! A

EPISODE 27: QUICKNESS OF THE HAND(Mar. 31, 1958):

Three dudes who make their living by entering tournaments
read about the Sheriff's reward for capturing Robin Hood!
The come up with a plan to pose as roaming minstrals and
infiltrate Robin's band of merry men!! A

EPISODE 28: ELIXER OF YOUTH(Apr. 07, 1958):

A man is promised the hand of the hand of the ward of a
certain Sir Louis!! She is in love with another man and
this gets Friar Tuck, Maid Marian and Robin Hood involved! A

EPISODE 29: THE GENIUS(Apr. 14, 1958):

A highly inteligent man is trying to get into the Abby
but the Abbot refuses him as he knows that Prince John
is after this dude to get him to develope a weapon for
him! Friar is asked to take him to Sherwood Forest for
protection!! A

EPISODE 30: THE YOUTHFUL MENACE(Apr. 21, 1958):

A cousin of Marian arrives back in England after having been
in France for 9 years!! He has a poor attitude of England
and Marian thinks that perhaps Robin can set the boy
straight! A

EPISODE 31: THE MINSTREL(Apr. 28, 1958):

Prince John is coming to Nottingham to try to forge a
treaty with the Prince of Aragon(Spain)! This would mean
he would successfully be crowned as the new King of
England! A

EPISODE 32: THE DOCTOR(May 05, 1958):

Little John falls and breaks his leg! Friar Tuck
takes him to a local friend where a doctor happens to
be there! Unfortunately his helper recognizes Little
John and runs off to tell the sheriff!! A

EPISODE 33: THE LOTTERY(May 12, 1958):

The sheriff has plans to raise money for himself by
running a rigged lottery!!! A

EPISODE 34: THE FIRE(May 19, 1958):

Derwin and Little John get trapped in a cave and the
sheriff decides to smoke them out by starting a fire which
backfires on him!! On top of that there's a drought going
on in the land! A

EPISODE 35: LINCOLN GREEN(May 26, 1958):

Robin and Marian go to Nottingham to by more lincoln green cloth
and get found out!! A

EPISODE 36: WOMEN'S WAR(June 02, 1958):

A young woman gets "saved" by Robin and his men, them promptly
runs to the sheriff with information on them!! Marian takes over
finding out what's up!! A

EPISODE 37: LITTLE MOTHER(June 09, 1958):

A woman is run down by a couple of dudes on horses and Friar Tuck
and Maid Marian see the whole thing happen! It turns out that it's
Little John's mother!! John goes to make sure that she's ok, but
it's a trap to capture him! Robin to the rescue!! A

EPISODE 38: MARIAN'S PRIZE(June 16, 1956):

There's a big archery tourney coming up but Robin and John
have gone off on a holiday! So the others have a test with each
other to see who will represent them! Then there's a surprise
entry!!! A

EPISODE 39: FAREWELL TO TUCK(June 30, 1956):

The archbishop comes for a visit and the sheriff schemes to
have him take Friar tuck with him!!! A

Thank you to the user, Carflo for their comment. It is very
true. I remember well, watching Robin Hood as a child and
it was so much loved, along with William Tell. It shaped my
character for goodness and fair-play. Every episode is full
of suspense and there is usually lots of action. There are
so many life's lessons to be learned. To treat others as you
would want to be treated. To treat all women with respect
and the women to look up to good men. The kids today
are really missing out and many of the programs on TV
these days are only promoting violence and sex. No wonder
we have so much crime. Bring back the good old Family
values. Enjoy all the series, and show your kids! - eddstep
