BONES SEASON 5
The fifth season about an F.B.I. agent & a bone specialist
who, together, use usual and the not-so-usual criminal
sleuthing methods to solve unusual crimes in the
Washington D.C. area, as well as others!!
All-in-all, this is actually pretty good, and interesting!!
EPISODE # 1: HARBINGERS IN A FOUNTAIN(Sept. 17, 2009):
Angela's psychic leads the team to a tomb under a fountain!
Turns out that the psychic's sister is among those in the tomb!
This brings serious doubts about her!!
On a side note, Sweets has convinced Booth that his feelings
for Brennan have been caused by his brain injury!! A
EPISODE # 2: THE BOND IN THE BOOT(Sept. 24, 2009):
A "spy" is found dead in the trunk of a "Bondish" kinda car!!!
No one seems to know why he was out in the field doing case
work when he was supposed to be a desk jockey!! Turns out,
Diamonds Are NOT Forever!!!
Back to Booth and Brennan, she gets a Rolex from her
publisher which brings up the pay inequality between the
two!! A+
EPISODE # 3: THE PLAIN IN THE PRODIGY(Oct. 1, 2009):
Bones are discovered along a railroad track, which turns out
to be an Amish boy's! A
EPISODE # 4: THE BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD(Oct. 8, 2009):
The perfect 'burb turns out to be anything but!! While having a
barbecue a body turns up in the coals!! A much respected man,
though not really!!!
Meanwhile, back at the personal side of life, Booth's son decides
he needs to get a girlfriend so he can get "his sex on"!!! lol!!
But there's more to it than that, which Brennan brings out of
the boy by talking the subject over with him!! A
EPISODE # 5: THE NIGHT AT THE BONES MUSEUM(Oct. 15, 2009):
A mummy is found on an electrical fence, and it turns out to be
from a museum, on loan from Egypt!!
Personal plot: Brennan goes on a date with Booth's boss!! A
EPISODE # 6: THE TOUGH MAN IN THE TENDER CHICKEN(Nov. 5, 2009):
A decomposed body is found in a pond, and it turns out to be that
of a "chicken man"!! He worked at a chicken farm that has had a lot
of protesters for the conditions of the chickens!!
Meanwhile, Angela has gone on a campaign to save a pig!! A
EPISODE # 7: THE DWARF IN THE DIRT(Nov. 12, 2009):
A skeleton is found in a sink hole that appears in the roadway
and sucks in a car!! Turns out the skeleton is that of a midget
wrestler!!
Meanwhile, back to Boone's issues after the brain tumor, he has
discovered that his marksmanship is not that of what it was before
the operation!! Because Sweets is bound to the F.B.I., Boone turns to
his first psychiatrist, Gordon Gordon Wyatt, who has now turned to
being a chef!!
As with all of these episodes after the departure of Zach, this
has one of the semi-regular interns in it, Mr. Nigel-Murray, who
always comes up with little know facts! In this episode, his fact is
that Marilyn Monroe had six toes on one of her feet!!!! LOL!!(Turns
out that this is NOT true!! Just an urban legend!!) A
EPISODE # 8: THE FOOT IN THE FORECLOSURE(Nov. 19, 2009):
A body is found burnt to a crisp in a bed that is in a house that's
up for sale!! Turns out it's not one body, but two!!
Ralph Waite(The Waltons) guest stars as Boone's grandfather
who's dropped in for a visit after being in a retirement home
due to a triple bypass surgery!! A
EPISODE # 9: THE GAMER IN THE GREASE(Dec. 3, 2009):
A dude has just been crowned the new king of Punky Pong!!
Too bad his reign as king was cut abruptly short, and he was
killed!! Many suspects in this one!
Meanwhile, intern Colin Fisher has procured opening day tickets
for the movie event of the decade, Avatar!!! He invites Sweets and
Jack to join him, only problem being that they have to stake out
a place in line to get good seats!! So they take turns, while trying
not to raise the suspicions of what they are doing away from work!! A
EPISODE # 10: THE GOOP ON THE GIRL(Dec. 10, 2009):
Simple plot: Santa robs a bank; Santa blows himself up; Boone
just happens to be there and now he's part of the evidence, winding
up striping so the team can get all the evidence off his clothes and
his body!!
On the personal side: Bones plans to go to El Salvidor to avoid
the Christmas hub bub, along with most of the others having
plans to be elsewhere!! Looks like a dreary Christmas for all!! A
EPISODE # 11: THE X IN THE FILE(Jan. 14, 2010):
With overt connection to the great TV series X-Files, this one is
about a man out in Roswell looking for aliens, and finding a dead,
um, something!! A
EPISODE # 12: THE PROOF IN THE PUDDING(Jan. 21, 2010):
One of the most interesting episodes so far!! The instillation
is taken over by a bunch of men in black!! They bring in a
skeleton and demand that the team find the cause of death!!
Speculation runs rampant over who the skeleton is and why are
they sequestered away from the rest of the world to find out
answers!!
Back to the personal issues: Cam finds a used pregnancy test
in the woman's bathroom at the facilities and it can only be one
of three people, Brennan, Angela or her adopted daughter,
Michelle!! A
EPISODE # 13: THE DENTIST IN THE DITCH(Jan. 28, 2010)
A dead body in a ditch!! Turns out to be a gay dentist who plays
football on an all gay team!!
Personal side: Booth's brother shows up and has a new girlfriend/
fiancee whom Booth does some sleuthing on and finds out that
she has a questionable past!! A
EPISODE # 14: THE DEVIL IN THE DETAILS(Feb. 4, 2010):
A body of a devil looking man is found in a church in a fire pit!! A
EPISODE # 15: THE BONES ON THE BLUE LINE(Apr. 1, 2010):
This has a sad beginning where Sweets is on a subway talking to a
young man when the train gets bowled over by a flood! A body
is found in the water, and the accident makes Sweets re-evaluate
everything in his life!! A
EPISODE # 16: THE PARTS IN THE SUM OF THE WHOLE(Apr. 8, 2010):
The 100th episode of Bones, a flashback to the real first case that
Seeley and Temperance worked on together!! A
EPISODE # 17: THE DEATH OF THE QUEEN BEE(Apr. 15, 2010):
The team is called out to investigate bones found near Temperance's
old high school, which just happens to be having a class reunion at
the same time!! Bones and Seeley pose as husband and wife to get
to the bottom of the murder!! A
EPISODE # 18: THE PREDATOR IN THE POOL(Apr. 22, 2010):
A skull is found in the shark tank at an aquarium, and the group
is called in for their expertise!!
Meanwhile, on the personal side, Booth and Temperance are both
going out on a date, just not with each other!! A+
EPISODE # 19: THE ROCKER IN THE RINSE CYCLE(Apr. 29, 2010):
At a posh hotel, while touring the cleaning end of things, a
body is found in one of the industrial washers!! This leads
the team to a camp for rocker wannabes, and Seeley is in
rocker heaven!! A
EPISODE # 20: THE WITCH IN THE WARDROBE(May 6, 2010):
A fire burns down a house, and inside a body of a witch long dead
is discovered!! This leads the team in to unravel the mystery!!
On a lighter, and more personal note, Angie and Jack get thrown
in jail for outstanding warrants, and things get interesting!! A
EPISODE # 21: THE BOY WITH THE ANSWER(May 13, 2010):
A very emotional episode with the trial of the Gravedigger as
the focus!! This brings Temperance to doubt if what she is
doing is what she's suppose to do with her life! A
Temperance's father(Ryan O'Neal) shows up again!!
EPISODE # 22: THE BEGINNING IN THE END(May 20, 2010):
The last episode, and one that leaves everyone hanging as
almost the whole team leaves for other parts of the world
at the end of the episode!! A
And in this one we have Angela's father(Billy Gibbons) in it!!

I love this show so much. It's so intelligent
and unlike anything you've seen before. You've
seen cop shows, you've seen crime shows, but
you've never seen a show where the bones are
the key to solving the mystery. With an array of
crimes, pretty much all involving murder, but you
can't be surprised, how can they solve crimes with
bones if nobody's dead? There are many different
main plots, going throughout the entire season.
There's Gormagon, The Gravedigger, Pelant and
many others. With gripping stories, love, loss and
babies, Bones has everything you could ever want.
Overall, I give this show a 9 out of 10. - Taylor Kingston
