Roberts & Brad Garret, this is a "family comedy" about,
you guessed it, Ray! Most of the humor comes from the
others(Doris, Peter & Brad)! I find this tedious at best
and boring at worst!

Marie gives Marco(Stephania's father) a piano lessons and
Frank gets jealous! D
EPISODE # 4: RAY'S RING(Oct. 16, 2000):
Ray and Robert go out of town(never say where) and while
fooling around Robert accidentally knocks Ray's wedding
ring into the heat vent! Then at the airport he gets hit
on! C-
EPISODE # 5: MARIE'S SCULPTURE(Oct. 23, 2000):
This is one of the funniest episodes in the whole series,
but still dumb! Marie makes a sculpture of a pussy!!! C+
EPISODE # 6: FRANK GOES DOWNSTAIRS(Oct. 30, 2000):
Ray and Debra fall out of bed and Ray tells two stories to
two different people and Frank thinks it's the stairs and
tries to "fix" them and falls into the basement! D-500
EPISODE # 7: JEALOUS ROBERT(Nov. 06, 2000):
Marie and Debra sets up Gianni with Amy and it back-fires!
This gets Robert very jealous! C-
EPISODE # 8: IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUN(Nov. 13, 2000):
Geoffrey just isn't made for sports and of course the whole
family is incredibly supportive - NOT - especially Ray!! A
B for Geoffrey, but overall an F
EPISODE # 9: OLDER WOMEN(Nov. 20, 2000):
Debra's father brings a +1 to Thanksgiving dinner and everyone
in the rest of the family is dead set against it!!

EPISODE # 10: RAYBERT(Nov. 27, 2000):
Robert meets a woman in a sports bar and she mistakes
him for Ray! C-
EPISODE # 11: THE KICKER(Dec. 11, 2000):
Frank catches a record setting field goal and won't give
it to the team or kicker! D
EPISODE # 12: SEASON'S GREETINGS(Jan. 08, 2001):
Marie writes a Chrismas letter dissing Debra many times and
she's royally pissed, and rightfully so!! D
EPISODE # 13: TISSUES(Jan. 29, 2001):
Ray buys a bunch of tissues and the whole family raises
questions about them! D
EPISODE # 14: SNOW DAY(Feb. 05, 2001):
There's a bunch of snow and the family is stuck together,
along with Amy! And of course everything goes to shit! F
EPISODE # 15: COOKIES(Feb. 12, 2001):
Ray's obsessed with Ally selling cookies! This is absolutely
horrible! F-
EPISODE # 16: LUCKY SUIT(Feb. 19, 2001):
Robert has an interview for the FBI and wants to wear his
"lucky suit", but Marie has designs to sabotage it by ruining
his "lucky suit" and sending a fax to the interviewer! D
EPISODE # 17: THE SKIT(Feb. 26, 2001):
It's a couple's anniversary and Marie says that Raymond
should do a skit for them, and it turns out to be a hit
then Marie and Frank start doing the same about them and
they have a hissy fit!! D-
EPISODE # 18: THE BREAKUP TAPE(Mar. 19, 2001):
A tape of a girl breaking up with Ray years ago is found
by Debra! D
EPISODE # 19: TALK TO YOUR DAUGHTER(Apr. 09, 2001):
Ally asks her parents "why did God put us here"! Had they
stopped with Ally, Ray and Debra, this could have been an
excellent episode! BUT THEY DIDN'T! D
EPISODE # 20: A VOTE FOR DEBRA(Apr. 23, 2001):
Debra runs for school board president! She loses and finds
out that Ray voted for the other guy!

EPISODE # 21: CALL ME MOM(Apr. 30, 2001):
Debra wants Ray to call her mother mom, and Ray says it
would be nice if she called Marie mom!

This is another horrible episode where Marie and Debra gets
in to it about Marie just dropping by unnaounced wanting the
kids to tell a knock knock joke to her friends! It eventually
gets the whole family arguing! F-

There are things I like about this show, but the
one thing I do not like is Raymond. He is so obnoxious!
I don't know why the people around him put up with
him - and why the show is so-named.
I like most of the other characters. To me, Robert is
much the better son. Raymond is entirely self-centred
and certainly does not deserve such a lovely wife and
children.
I KNOW it's only a show, and entertainment, bit it annoys
me that the others seem so oblivious of his faults.
The show is amusing - but certainly not exceptional or
deserving of all those awards. - alistair-80
