Alfred Hitchcock Hour Season 2

After the success of The Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV
show, they decided to expand it to an hour! All 32 Season
One episodes are presented here!!

Many great actors of the time are here in season one, too
many to name here but I will note them in each episode!

Sadly, there are no closed captions so that my lovely wife
can enjoy these!! :(

EPISODE # 1: A HOME AWAY FROM HOME(Sept. 27, 1963):

A man thinks that he's quite recovered and wants to go home
from the saniitarium, but his doctor thinks differently, so
he kills the doctor and takes his place, trying to fool even
the doctors niece!!

Starring Ray Milland(Dail M For Murder, Bulldog Drummond Escapes)! A-

EPISODE # 2: A NICE TOUCH(Oct. 04, 1963):

A married woman gets mixed up with an actor who talks her
into killing her husband!

Starring: Anne Baxter(Batman, All About Eve), Harry Townes

Segal(Just Shoot Me!, The Hot Rock)

EPISODE # 3: TERROR AT NORTHFIELD(Oct. 11, 1963):

A young man in town has disappeared and the local sheriff and
his wife are curious about what happened! Later that same episode,
there's been a rash of murders lately in the same said town!!

Starring Dick York(Bewitched)! B+

EPISODE # 4: YOU'LL BE THE DEATH OF ME(Oct. 18, 1963):

A woman is just asking for someone to kill her, so he
does!!!

Starring Robert Loggia(THE Cat), Barry Atwater(Star

EPISODE # 5: BLOOD BARGAIN(Oct. 25, 1963):

A mob boss hires a man to kill a man that's started to do
the same "work" as the mb! The hitman makes a plan with
the hit to fake his death and get out of town to Mexico!

Starring Anne Francis(Forbidden Planet, Honey West) returns,
Richard Kiley(Star Trek: DS9 episode "Second Sight"), Richard
Long(Big Valley, The House On Haunted Hill, 77 Sunset Strip,
Burbon Street Beat)!! A-

EPISODE # 6: NOTHING NEVER HAPPENS IN LINVALE(Nov. 08, 1963):

There's a mystery involving a man who sits around all day
in his back yard and his wife who hasn't been seen for several
days!!

Oh, and there's a couple of missing animals!!

This has one great twist to it!!

Starring a returninng Gary Merrill, Phyllis Thaxter return,
Fess Parker(Daniel Boone, 5 episodes of Disney's Davy Crocket)! A-

EPISODE # 7: STARRING THE DEFENSE(Nov. 15, 1963):

A boy kills another boy in a knife fight and goes to
court to face charges of murder! His father is a former
actor who has turned to being a lawyer and offers to
try to defend his son(who is guilty!)! Out of ideas
on how to help him, his father turns to his experience
as an actor!!

Starring Richard Basehart(Voyage To The Bottom Of The
Sea, Knight Rider)! B+

EPISODE # 8: THE CADAVER(Nov. 29, 1963):

Two very unprofessional med school students just don't
know when to know when enough is enough!!!

This has a very poor ending!!

Stararin: Michael Parks rerturns, Don Marshall(Land
Of The Giants, Star Trek: TOS episode "The Galileo
Seven"), Rafer Johnson(track star!)! B-

EPISODE # 9: THE DEVIDING WALL(Dec. 06, 1963):

Three men rob a place by steling a safe! When they open
it they find more than the money they were after, they
also find cobolt and two of them want to tell the people
around them what's going on and to get awaay, but one of
them is a real a-hole and doesn' care who lives or dies
as long as he can get away with the money!!

Starrintg in this one is Norman Fell(Three's Company, Dan
August), Katharine Ross(Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid,
The Graduate), James Gregory(Barney Miller, The Ambushers,
Murderers Row, The Silencers, Clambake, Star Trek: TOS
episode "Dagger Of The Mind")!! A-

EPISODE # 10: GOODBYE, GEORGE(Dec. 13, 1963):

A drunk couple have an arguement about her infidelity
on a boat and he pushes her overboard! She can't swim<
and so it is assumed that she's now dead!

Starring: Robert Culp(I Spy, The Greatest American
Hero, Trackdown), Bernie Kopel(The Love Boat, When
Things Were Rotten, Get Smart)!

EPISODE # 11: HOW TO GET RID OF YOUR WIFE(Dec. 20, 1963):

A man(Bob) with an extremely overbearing wife decides
it's time to "get rid of her"!! And this is his story!!

Truly one of the best Alfred Hitchcock storie ever!!

Newhart show[called Newhart], and yet another Bob Newhart
Show[this one called simply Bob], The Big Bang Theory, The
Librarian movies and TV show), Harold Gould(The Sting,

EPISODE # 12: THREE WIVES TOO MANY(Jan. 03, 1964):

A man is married(VERY married) and one of his 4(yup, FOUR)
wives feels like that is just too many wives for any one man!!

This one features Dan Duryea(Payton Place, The Flight Of
The Phoenix[1966])! B+

EPISODE # 13: THE MAGIC SHOP(Jan. 10, 1964)

It's a boys birthday and his parents take him to a magic
shop that mysteriously disappears, along with said boy!
Later that same episode, the boy suddenly re-appears at
his home fine and dandy and acting really strange!!! Could
it be MAGIC???

Forbidden Planet!), David Opatoshu(Star Trek: TOS episode

EPISODE # 14: BEYOND THE SEA OF DEATH(Jan. 24, 1964):

A rich woman leading a double life meets up with a pen-pal and
they hit it off quite well and plan to be married! He goes to
Bolivia to start a mining business! And they lived happily -
oops, wrong story!

Abraham Sofaer(Two episodes of Star Trek: TOS)! B+

EPISODE # 15: NIGHT CALLER(Jan. 31, 1964):

A man is peeping at a woman who is in her backyard
sunbathing and she calls the cops! They find the guy
and warn him to stop!! He doesn't!!

This has a great twist at the end!!

Bruce Durn(Stoney Burke, Support Your Local Sheriff),
Frances Morris(The Adventures Of Superman: episode 1
in the role of Sarah Kent, Superman's Earth mother
[Not an error here, the names Martha and Jonathan
Kent didn't appear until they were mentioned in the
Superboy comeis in 1951!] and a returning David White
star here! A

EPISODE # 16: THE EVIL OF ADELAIDE WINTERS(Feb. 07, 1964):

Adelaide is really evil!! She goes through the papers
to find victims of the war and then gets hold of them
saying she can help them find out how their sons died!!

Starring: Kim Hunter(The original Planet Of The Apes
movies!, A Streetcar Named Desire), Gene Lyons(Star Trek:
TOS episode "A Taste Of Armageddon")! B

EPISODE # 17: THE JAR(Feb. 14, 1964):

A man buys a jar at a circus that has something in it that
defies description!! His wife isn't happy about it, but
people from all over the area want to get a look and
the man loves the attention he's getting! What could
possibly go wrong!!??

Starring: Pat Buttrum(Green Acres, several Disney annimated
movies as a voice actor, The Gene Autry Show), George Lindsey
(Also in several Disney annimated movies, The Andy Griffith
Show, Mayberry RFD), Slim Pickens(Blazing Saddles, The Apple
Dumpling Gang, several Disney live action shows), Billy
Barty(one of the most famous of the "little people", he
was in MANY shows, a couple of the more well known ones
were with Elvis Presley in Roustabout & Harum Scarum),
James Best(Dukes Of Hazzard), William Marsall(Star Trek:
TOS episode "The Ultimate Computer", Maverick[movie])! A

EPISODE # 18: FINAL ESCAPE(Feb. 21, 1964):

A man in jail with a very sedistic warden makes a deal
with another inmate that if he gives $5,000 to help the
other's grand daughter for an operation that the other
will put him in a coffing with a dead man and bury them
together then dig him out later!! What could possibly go
wrong?!?!

Oh, and the other man's an old alcoholic!!

Another great twist!!

Starring: Edd Byrnes(77 Sunset Strip), Greg Morris returns! B+

EPISODE # 19: MURDER CASE(Mar. 06, 1964):

An actor meets up with an old flame who's in a play that
he tries to get a part in! He does, and he wants more
than the part, he wants the whole thing! Problem is, she
is married to the man financing the play with his money
he's made from diamonds!!

Starring: John Casavettes(The Dirty Dozen, Rosemary's Baby),
Murray Matheson(Banacek), Ben Wright(The Sound Of Music, 101
Dalmations)! B+

EPISODE # 20: ANYONE FOR MURDER?(Mar. 13, 1964):

A man puts an add in the paper offering to help people
to get rid of their problems with their spouses!!! The
police get invovled but they have no real reason to arrest
said man! Turns out the man and his wife do not have the
best marraige! Wonder where this will head!!

Starring in this one is Barry Nelson(Airport) & Richard
Dawson(Hogan's Heroes, The Match Game, The Running Man),
Grant Woods(3 epsisodes of Star Trek: TOS)! B+

EPISODE # 21: BEAST IN VIEW(Mar. 20, 1964):

A woman is pestering another woman about a percieved wrong
that she feels that she did to her! She also has been
threatening a photography studio!! Things come to a head
when - well watch the episode!

This stars Joan Hackett(Support Your Local Sheriff!),
Kevin McCarthy(Invasion Of The Body Snatchers[1956],
Flamingo Road), Kathleen Nolan(The Real McCoys)! B+

EPISODE # 22: BEHIND THE LOCKED DOOR(Mar. 27, 1964):

A man and a woman get married! End of story!!

Ok, so there's a little more to it, turns out that she's
not 19 but only 17 and her mother has the marraige annuled!
They're distraught, but come up with a plan to get her
mother to accept them!

Starring Gloria Swanson(Indiscreet, Sunset Blvd., Airport
'75), James MacArthur(Hawaii 5-0, Swiss Family Robinson),
Whit Bissell(Star Trek: TOS episode "The Touble With Tribbles",

EPISODE # 23: A MATTER OF MURDER(Apr. 03, 1964):

A man and his gang steal a Rolls Royce and get into a
lot of trouble!!! But more than he asked for!

A lot of humor here!!

Riverboat, Mike Hammer[1958]), Telly Savalas(Kojak), Adam
Roark(Star Trek: TOS episode "The Cage")! B+

EPISODE # 24: THE GENTLEMAN CALLER(Apr. 10, 1964)

A man robs a business of $100,000 and shoots a guard!
He later befriends a befuddled old lady and they
become good friends! He hides the money in her apartment
and gets her to write a will leaving him as he benniciary
then tries several times to knock her off!!

Starring Roddy McDowall(The Planet Of The Apes movies,
Cleopatra, Hart To Hart: Home Is Where The Heart Is,
The Cat From Outer Space)! A

EPISODE # 25: THE ORDEAL OF MRS. SNOW(Apr. 17, 1964):

A man who's in debt forges some checks from his aunt-in-law
and she catches him in it! He locks her in a safe(it's a
really BIG safe) and - well - watch the show!!

One of the few episodes(up to this point) with no known
stars!!!! B+

EPISODE # 26: TEN MINUTES FROM NOW(May 01, 1964):

Someone's been sending threatening letters to the park
commissioner(can't make this shit up) and a dude shows
up at his office with a box that's ticking!! The name of
the game here is distraction!!

This has David Carridine returns, Tommy Kirk(Many, many
Disney movies!), Donnelly Rhodes(Battlestar Galactica[2004])! A-

EPISODE # 27: THE SIGN OF SATAN(May 08, 1964):

Some horor movie makers are interested in an actor(?) after
viewing his only screen appearance! They persuade him to come
to Hollywood to make the picture but he is totally against
any publicity! The reason becomes known as the story goes
on!!

This has Christopher Lee(THE Christopher Lee), Adam Roark
returns!! A

EPISODE # 28: WHO NEEDS AN ENEMY?(May 15, 1964):

A man embezzels money from the business that he and his
friend run! The friend finds out and he tries to figure
away out of his troubles!!

EPISODE # 32: BODY IN THE BARD(June 12, 1964):

An elderly lady who is ill suspects her next door neighbor
who is quite the bitch of killing her husband!!

Truly a classic, this long-running TV series(1955-65)
was way ahead of its time. Its host, Alfred Hitchcock
presented stories in this weekly, half-hour dramatic/
suspense anthology that virtually no other program
would even dream of presenting. Like many of Hitch's
films, the stories presented frequently dealt with
murder and deception, sometimes on a humerous level.
Anyone expecting the show to end with the conventional
happy ending would fare better to tune into another
television program. In addition to hosting the show,
Hitchcock directed several episodes of the series
