EPISODE 1: THE THREE GABLES(Mar. 07, 1994):
This is pretty strange, and quite boring! A man gets killed and
his mother has sent for Sherlock to find answers.
Inspector Lestrade returns here! B+
EPISODE 2: THE DYING DETECTIVE(Mar. 14, 1994):
A man dies and his cousin takes over the estate and kicks his widow out!
This gets Holmes and Watson involved! The title refers to the turn
that Holmes takes during the episode, which is directly linke to
the case!
After the previous episode, this one is stellar!! A
EPISODE 3: THE GOLDEN PINCE-NEZ(Mar. 21, 1994):
The Holmes brothers are in on this case, as Dr. Watson was busy
with surgeries!(The real story is that the actor, Edward Haradwick,
was busy making a movie and couldn't do this one episode! This is
the only episode without a Dr. Watson in it!)!
The story; a man is killed and the circumstances are rather odd!

no one bother him while he's there and isn't seen for days! Mrs.
Hudson asks Holmes to look into the matter! A
EPISODE # 5: THE MAZARIN STONE(Apr. 04, 1994):
Jeremy Brette was quite ill when this was filmed and had to
drop out, leaving the production team to re-write the story
and utilize Mycroft in his stead!
Holmes is off to the highlands when a royal diamond is stolen
and the Prime Minister wants him to get on the case! So Mycroft,
Sherlock's brother, takes on the case in his stead! Meanwhile,

for a third man named Gerrideb(their surname) as it's worth 5
million dollars to him and the sisters' brother whom they live
with! The two stories are entertwined!! A-

From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
This series was indeed the best I've seen for accuracy to Sir
Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes character and novels. The
settings are superb, the plots are true and Jeremy Brett is
excellent as Holmes.
It is well worth your while to see this and other Holmes series
(Return of Sherlock Holmes, Memoirs ... etc). - nodak-2
