THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN SEASON 2 PAGE

THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN SEASON 2

Season 2 of one of the most well known television series out of
the seventies, The Six Million Dollar Man!! Pilot for NASA, bad
accident, rebuilt, better, stronger, faster! Starring Lee Majors
and Richard Anderson(who doesn't appear in the first pilot),
this is about his exploits after the accident!!!

What you may not know, however, is that this show is based
on a true story!!!!! And that the crash scene used in the series
is the actual crash that this is based on!!!

EPISODE # 1: NUCLEAR ALERT(Sept. 13, 1974):

Someone has stolen most of a nuclear bomb and sold it
to the highest bidder!! The only thing missing is a device
that Steve is put in charge of to help find the stolen parts
as well as who stole them!! A

EPISODE # 2: THE PIONEERS(Sept. 20, 1974):

This starts out with something falling from the sky!! Oscar
pretty much begs Steve to go out to Minnesota to help with
a retrieval mission!! Retrieval of what, he won't say!! It's all
about cryogenics!!

Guest stars include Mike Farrell(M*A*S*H TV show)! A

EPISODE # 3: PILOT ERROR(Sept. 27, 1974):

A general and senator asks for Steve's help when he is
about to go up against a board of inquiry about a plane
crash in which his co-pilot was killed!! As the story unfolds,
they wind up in a small plane headed to Washington for
the hearings when things go terribly wrong!!

Guest starring Pat Hiingle(Batman, Batman Returns, Batman
Forever and Batman & Robin[as Commissioner Gordon]!! A

EPISODE # 4: THE PAL-MIR ESCORT(Oct. 4, 1974):

A Prime Minister from a war torn country which is in
the middle of peace negotiations is deathly ill and
Oscar and company have offered her an operation
to install a "bionic heart" to replace her failing one!!
Of course this is complicated by people not wanting
peace trying to keep her from a successful operation! A

EPISODE # 5: THE SEVEN MILLION DOLLAR MAN(Nov. 1, 1974):

Unbeknownst to Steve, it appears that there is another
bionic man roaming around!! A former race car driver
has also been re-built, and why the Hell no one bothered
to tell Steve is way beyond me!! Kinda stupid premise
really!! And another thing that's been bugging me about
this season is Steve's attitude!! He seems very cynical
and not a likable person at all!!

Guest starring in this is Monte Markham(Star Trek: DS9
[episode "Let He Who Is Without Sin"], Baywatch, The
New Perry Mason)! B

EPISODE # 6: STRAIGHT ON 'TIL MORNING(Nov. 8, 1974):

This is written by D.C. Fontana(of Star Trek fame)!! A UFO
is seen in the sky by several people, including Steve Austin,
and it appears to have been a real flying saucer with little
green(well, gold), men!!

This is a very touching story!!

Guest starring Meg Foster(Star Trek: DS9[episode "The Muse"])! A

EPISODE # 7: THE MIDAS TOUCH(Nov. 15, 1974):

Oscar Goldman seems to be conducting secret, illegal mining
in Nevada!! Steve goes there to find out what's going on, only
to be ambushed and put to work in the mine!! A

EPISODE # 8: THE DEADLY REPLAY(Nov. 22, 1974):

A friend of Steve's asks him to re-do his flight on the experimental
plane that crashed and turned him into the bionic man!!

In this we have Clifton James(who's known for playing a sheriff
in most of the movies he's in[Live And Let Die, The Man With The
Golden Gun, Superman II)!! A

EPISODE # 9: ACT OF PIRACY(Nov. 29, 1974):

Steve's on a ship planting earthquake detectors underwater,
just off the coast line of an unfriendly nation, who's just waiting
for them to move too close to their shore and seize their ship,
equipment & personnel!! And of course they have a little help
from a traitor aboard ship!! A

EPISODE # 10: STRANGER IN BROKEN FORK(Dec. 12, 1974)

Steve is having equipment troubles!! His arm is shorting out
and if not corrected can cause amnesia and eventually death! A

EPISODE # 11: THE PEEPING BLONDE(Dec. 20, 1974):

Farrah Fowcett Majors returns for another guest shot, this
time as a nosy reporter that puts Steve's secrecy, and safety,
in jeopardy!!!

This is one of those shows that shows why most people said
that Farrah was a terrible actress!! B+

EPISODE # 12: THE CROSS-COUNTRY KIDNAP(Jan. 10, 1975):

A woman who works for the government as a computer
programmer, and who is also an equestrian trying out
for the Olympics, is being threatened, but refuses to give
up her quest for the Olympics!!

This is actually pretty hilarious, as there's a point where
the woman is suppose to re-program the computers from
scratch!! Anyone who's had any programming experience
knows you don't just sit down and write out a whole program
in one sitting!! LOL!!

This guest stars Tab Hunter(The Tab Hunter Show, Damn
Yankees) & Donna Mills(Knots Landing, Play Misty
For Me)! A+

EPISODE # 13: LOST LOVE(Jan. 17, 1975)

Steve meets up with an old flame, and sparks fly!! Her
husband has been lost and presumed dead!! This bodes
well with Steve, 'til said girl gets a call from said husband,
asking her to come immediately to where he'd been in
seclusion!! This doesn't go well with Steve, and he decides
to accompany her on her trip!! Oscar is all for this, as it
turns out that said husband is a renowned scientist and
Oscar desperately wants him back!!

Guest starring in this is Jeff Correy(while not a big name,
he did guest star in the Star Trek: TOS episode 'The Cloud
Minders", also in Babylon 5 episode "Z'Ha'Dum", The
Color Of Night, Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid,
Superman And The Mole Men)!! Also guest starring is
Wesley Lau(Perry Mason, The Time Tunnel)!! A

EPISODE # 14: THE LAST KAMIKAZE(Jan. 19, 1975):

A plane goes down in the jungles of an island, and it's got
a pretty bad thing on board: an atom bomb!!!!

Guest stars in this include John Fujioka(Tales Of The Gold
Monkey, McHale's Navey) & Robert Ito(Star Trek: Voyager
[episode "Author, Author"], Star Trek: TNG [episode "Coming
Of Age"], Quincy M.E.)! A+

EPISODE # 15: RETURN OF THE ROBOT MAKER(Jan. 26, 1975):

So the dude who made another bionic man whom Steve had
to defeat last season is back!! This time he's made a copy of
Oscar, and is out to destroy the both of them!! A-

EPISODE # 16: TANEHA(Feb. 2, 1975):

This is about a cougar that's terrorizing the area!! Most of
the locals want him dead, but one dude wants to capture
him and move him to a preserve because he's the last male
of his species!!

Guest starring Paul Brinegar(I know, a real house hold name,
huh!! But really, the dude's face is quite well known!! He starred
or guest starred in a huge number of shows, including Maverick
[the movie], The Gambler Returns: The Luck Of The Draw, Matt
Houston[TV], Lancer[TV], The Life And Times Of Wyatt Earp[Bet
you didn't know that was the proper name of the TV series usually
referred to as just Wyatt Earp] and his most famous role: Wishbone
on Rawhide)!! A-

EPISODE # 17: LOOK ALIKE(Feb. 23, 1975):

A man has his face changed to look like Steve, and it ain't cause
he thinks the dude's good looking!! Seems he's planning some big
bad doings having to do with a top secret project!!

This guest stars George Forman(Boxer), Arthur Space(The
Strongest Man In The World, Herbie Rides Again, Bedknobs And
Broomsticks, Lassie[TV]) & Robert DeQui(Star Trek: DS9 episode
"Sons Of Mogh")!! A

EPISODE # 18: THE E.S.P. SPY(Mar. 2, 1975):

As you would expect, this is about E.S.P. and some bad guys
using it to steal plans for a top secret government project!!
The good guys tap into a young girl's powers to thwart the
plans!!

The girl playing the E.S.P. part is very sweet!!

In this we have Dick Van Patton(Eight Is Enough, Westworld,
Spaceballs, When Things Were Rotten)!! A

EPISODE # 19: THE BIONIC WOMAN PT. 1(Mar. 16, 1975):

Lindsay Wagner makes her debut as the Bionic Woman
after she has a bad accident while sky diving! In this, she
plays an old sweetheart of Steve's!!

What I've never understood is why these people get so
upset about being better than they were before!!

Also guest starring here is Malachi Throne(It Takes A Thief,
Star Trek: TOS episodes "The Menagerie", Star Trek: TNV episode
"In Harms Way", Babylon 5 episode "The Coming Of Shadows",
Star Trek: TNG episodes "Unification", Pts. 1 & 2)! A

EPISODE # 20: THE BIONIC WOMAN PT. 2(Mar. 23, 1975)

Continuing from the previous episode, with the same guest stars!!
Steve and Jamie's wedding plans get put on hold while Jamie gets
sent on her first mission, one to get back the counterfeiting plate
and bust up the ring!! Steve goes with her as her chaperone and
of course the bad guys are laying in wait for the two of them!!!

But the bigger problem seems to be Steve, as he keeps worrying
about how Jamie's going to do!! A

EPISODE # 21: OUTRAGE IN BALINDERRY(Apr. 19, 1975):

A country that's on the brink of civil war kidnaps the wife of
an ambassador!! Steve goes there to try to rescue her, and
to bring peace to the country!! This is a direct reflection of
what was happening in Ireland at the time this was shown! A

EPISODE # 22: STEVE AUSTIN, FUGITIVE(Apr. 27, 1975):

Steve gets framed for a murder for reasons unknown!!

Guest starring Gary Lockwood(Star Trek: TOS episode "Where
No Man Has Gone Before", The Lieutenant, Follow The Sun,

From a reviewer at IMDb.com:

One thing that my sister pointed out to me at the time (she
is a few years older than I) is "If Steve Austin only has one
bionic arm, why doesn't he rip his other arm off whenever
he breaks out of handcuffs?" It seems obvious now as an
adult but, they managed to slip that one past this eight year
old kid!

Oh and who didn't want to be Steve Austin/ Lee Majors back
then? Jamie Sommers on screen (I had a major crush) and
Farrah Fawcett at home! What a lucky guy! And whose idea
was it to give Farrah's character on the show a name like
Major Kelly Wood- major wood- I am sure!

My favourite episodes have to be any with Jamie Sommers.
It was even better when she got her own spin-off show.
Also the few show with Andre the Giant. The ones that
freaked me out as a kid was with John Saxon's character
Major Frederick Sloan as a robot and his face falls off!

We never missed an episode! I would love to see these in
re-runs. Is there any talk of getting this show back on the
air? - yoredm
