SLIDERS SEASON 5
Just as an aside here, having nothing to do with the show
itself, this packaging of Seasons 4 is much better!
Unfortunately, the series itself is continuing it's
nosedive, With only two original characters left, Remy
and Quinn! These are sad days for Sliders fans!
SEASON FIVE:
EPISODE # 1: THE UNSTUCK MAN(Sept. 20, 1996):
We are now down to Rambrandt of the original Sliders,
and while he's a decent character, carrying this show
on his own(along with Maggie) just doesn't cut it for
me(and a WHOLE LOT of other people! Anyway, what's left
of our intrepid crew wind up on an Earth where it appears
that Quinn has slide into another person that was in
the vortex at the same time as the crew!
Guest starring here: the great Peter Jurasik(Babylon 5)
in his first of three episodes!!! C
EPISODE # 2: APPLIED PHYSICS(Sept. 27, 1996):
Ok, I've figured out the best word to describe this forth
season: BORING!!!
Returning is Peter Jurasik! C
EPISODE # 3: STRANGERS AND COMRADES(Oct. 04, 1996):
The group land on an asteroid instead of Earth! And this
is about the stupid Kromags again, and war, and I HATE
war stories!!
The only good thing about this episode is Jerry!!
Guest starring is the also great Jerry Doyle(Babylon 5)!! D-
EPISODE # 4: THE GREAT WORK(Oct. 11, 1996):
Now on an Earth where there's apparently a faction that
controls all world, there's a small island with monks
whose life work has been to store all of humanities
knowledge!! B
EPISODE # 5: NEW GODS FOR OLD(Oct. 18, 1996):
Terrible episode!! D
EPISODE # 6: PLEASE PRESS ONE(Nov. 01, 1996):
The group is now on a cashless Earth where everyone is reduced
down to a number! C
EPISODE # 7: A CURRENT AFFAIR(Nov. 08, 1996):
A play off of the "just say no" add campaign about drugs!
Pretty light fare but entertaining!! B+
EPISODE # 8: THE JAVA JIVE(Nov. 15, 1996):
The group are now on an acid rain Earth and check in to a
"haunted hotel!"! B+
EPISODE # 9: THE RETURN OF MAGGIE BECKETT(Nov. 22, 1996):
Kromags, why'd it have to be Kromags! And they had been doing
so good! D
EPISODE # 10: DEAD MAN SLIDING(Nov. 29, 1996):
And the shit-Kromags continue!!! D
EPISODE # 11: ASYLUM(Dec. 06, 1996):
After leaping from a plane to a slide, the crew land
on another strange Earth where Quinn is injured pretty
badly and their fate is uncertain! C+
EPISODE # 12: CALIFORNIA REICH(Dec. 20, 1996):
On an Earth where WWII never happened, California is now
run by faciasts! C+
EPISODE # 13: THE DYING FIELDS(JAN. 03, 1997):
A story that's been done in almost every sc-fi/action/
adventure show made - man hunting man! C+
EPISODE #14: LIPSCHITZ LIVE(Jan. 17, 1997):
The group are now on an Earth where the main entertainment
is a dude who is a lot like every talk show host ever, in
one! Almost complete fluff, although it addresses false
worries about illegal aliens!
Guest starring: Charlie Brill(Star Trek: TOS episode "The
Trouble With Tribbles", Star Trek: DS9 episode "Trials and
Tribble-ations")! B+
EPISODE # 15: NET WORTH(Apr. 05, 1996):
This is pretty decent, where in you're either an online
geek or an outcast! B
EPISODE # 16: SLIDE BY WIRE(Oct. 10, 1963):
I have no idea where they got the name for the episode, as
has nothing to do with it! Anyway, the guys slide into a
high tech Earth, then to just the opposite, and wind up
with a double of Maggie! C+
EPISODE # 17: DATA WORLD(Oct. 17, 1963):
Major silliness!!! Think Tron! Only dumbed down!!
Guest starring: Roy Dotrice(Babylon 5 episode "The Fall
Of Night")! C
EPISODE # 18: WAY OUT WEST(Oct. 24, 1963):
Not a fan of westerns!!! Although this has some good humor! C+
EPISODE # 19: MY BROTHER'S KEEPER(Sep. 31, 1963):
More look-alike stuff! Quinn gets mistaken for a clone!
I believe this was a set-up for Jerry's exit from the show! C+
EPISODE # 20: THE CHASM(Nov. 07, 1963):
The group land on an Earth where people are willingly jumping
into a chasm for no eplicable reason!! C+
EPISODE # 21: ROADS TAKEN(Nov. 14, 1963):
The crew get sepparated for a bit, and when they reunite,
Quinn and Colin are quite ill)! B
EPISODE # 22: REVELATIONS(Nov. 21, 1963):
The crew's last Earth this season is one where a dude has
written a book about Kromags(thinly disguised as something
else and things that only someone who knew about sliding would
know about!) and lo and behold they find out he's from the
boy's world!!
Aaaaaaaaaand we're down to one original slider with this
episode!
Guest starring: Jerry Hardin(Star Trek: TNG episode "Times
Squared Pt. I & II", "When The Bough Breaks")! C

From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
This show was great. After John Rhys Davies left the show
(complaining that the scripts were starting to get too stupid,
which they were) it was still pretty OK. When Wade and O'Connell
left the show became total garbage. Nothing on Crying Man, he
was always very good, but the stories became much too lazy
and stupid (very bad writing) and Quinn's brother was
awful. - gregberne11
