SLIDERS SEASON 5
Just as an aside here, having nothing to do with the show
itself, this packaging of Seasons 5 is much better!
Unfortunately, the series itself is continuing it's
nosedive, With only one original characters left, Remy!
These are sad days for Sliders fans!
SEASON FIVE:
EPISODE # 1: THE UNSTUCK MAN(Sept. 20, 1996):
We are now down to Rambrandt of the original Sliders,
and while he's a decent character, carrying this show
on his own(along with Maggie) just doesn't cut it for
me(and a WHOLE LOT of other people! Anyway, what's left
of our intrepid crew wind up on an Earth where it appears
that Quinn has slide into another person that was in
the vortex at the same time as the crew!
Guest starring here: the great Peter Jurasik(Babylon 5)
in his first of three episodes!!! C
EPISODE # 2: APPLIED PHYSICS(Sept. 27, 1996):
Ok, I've figured out the best word to describe this fifth
season: BORING!!!
Returning is Peter Jurasik! C
EPISODE # 3: STRANGERS AND COMRADES(Oct. 04, 1996):
The group land on an asteroid instead of Earth! And this
is about the stupid Kromags again, and war, and I HATE
war stories!!
The only good thing about this episode is Jerry!!
Guest starring is the also great Jerry Doyle(Babylon 5)!! D-
EPISODE # 4: THE GREAT WORK(Oct. 11, 1996):
Now on an Earth where there's apparently a faction that
controls the whole world, there's a small island with monks
whose life work has been to store all of humanity's
knowledge!! B
EPISODE # 5: NEW GODS FOR OLD(Oct. 18, 1996):
Terrible episode!! D
EPISODE # 6: PLEASE PRESS ONE(Nov. 01, 1996):
The group is now on a cashless Earth where everyone is reduced
down to a number! C
EPISODE # 7: A CURRENT AFFAIR(Nov. 08, 1996):
So the group of wannabes are now on an Earth where everyone
believes the gossip rags and not the actual newsapers!!!
Guest starring: Maggie Egan(Babylon 5)! C
EPISODE # 8: THE JAVA JIVE(Nov. 15, 1996):
On an Earth where caffien is illiga!! A lot of music here,
and not too bad either! B-
EPISODE # 9: THE RETURN OF MAGGIE BECKETT(Nov. 22, 1996):
This isn't too bad, an Earth where Maggue becane an astronaut
and went to Mars, and now is idolized because she died coming
back! B-
EPISODE # 10: EASY SLIDER(Nov. 29, 1996):
And this Earth is one where combustable engines have been
banned and there are those who are not happy about it!! C
EPISODE # 11: REQUIEM(Dec. 06, 1996):
I guess this would be Wade's Earth! The Sliders find out
just what ever happened to Wade!!
Guest starring: Julie Caitlin Brown(Babylon 5, also on
Star Trek: TNG[2 episodes] and DS9 episode "The Passenger")! C+
EPISODE # 12: MAP OF THE MIND(Dec. 20, 1996):
The crew end up on an Earth where creativity is not only frowned
upon, but downright illegal!! One of the best since all the other
Sliders left the show! B
EPISODE # 13: A THOUSAND DEATHS(JAN. 03, 1997):
On a "Westworld" type Earth, the group got in the middle of
the whole things!! C+
EPISODE #14: HEAVY METAL(Jan. 17, 1997):
Pretty silly story about modern day pirates!! C+
EPISODE # 15: TO CATCH A SLIDER(Apr. 05, 1996):
This is pretty decent, very "To Catch A Thief"ish!! B
EPISODE # 16: DUST(Oct. 10, 1963):
Another good episode, with the Sliders winding up on an
Earth where they land in the middle of an archiology dig
whose center is the Chandler Hotel, but it's remains
are 400 years old!
Another pretty good episode!
Guest starring: Chi McBride(Human Target, Boston Public, Gone
In 60 Seconds[2000], The John Larroquettte Show)! B-
EPISODE # 17: EYE OF THE STORM(Oct. 17, 1963):
This is ok, and it's basically about running into the dude
that blended Quinn with Mallory!!
Guest starring: Peter Jurasic and Jerry O'Connel(flash
backs) return! C
EPISODE # 18: THE SEER(Oct. 24, 1963):
A very poor finale! Certainly a disappoinment for all Sliders
fans!! C-

From a reviewer at IMDb.com:
This show was great. After John Rhys Davies left the show
(complaining that the scripts were starting to get too stupid,
which they were) it was still pretty OK. When Wade and O'Connell
left the show became total garbage. Nothing on Crying Man, he
was always very good, but the stories became much too lazy
and stupid (very bad writing) and Quinn's brother was
awful. - gregberne11
