STARGATE - SG-1 SEASON 2(1997)
After the movie did so well, the powers that be decided
what the heck, let's try doing a TV show! They couldn't
get either Kurt Russell or James Spader, so they went
out and got RDA & Michael Shanks(a fairly uknown actor)
to take their places! It was a great choice!! Let's face
it, Richard Deen Anderson was already an icon on TV with
McGyver, and this did nothing but solidify his place as
a TV icon!
Along with them are Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge
and together(for most of the series) make a wonderful team,
with great stories and very good F/X! This is a great series!
Incedibly hard to do, to follow up the excellent movie with
more excellence, but somehow they did it!
EPISODE 1: THE SERPENT'S LAIR(June 26, 1998):
Continuing from the last episode of Season 1, we
find our intrepid crew on a Goa'uld ship headed
for Earth so they can destroy it!! A very good
episode! A
EPISODE 2: IN THE LINE OF DUTY(July 03, 1998):
While rescuing some people from a planet being
attacked by the Gau'ould, Sam gets infected by
one and her life is in danger from another one
who is on a mission to kill it! A
EPISODE 3: PRISONERS(July 10, 1998):
The crew are sentenced to life imprisonment for
inadvertantly helping a criminal!
This is the first time the General uses the Stargate!! A
EPISODE 4: THE GAMEKEEPER(July 17, 1998):
The team are captured on a strange world where they
expirience, well, to use a knowable reference, a
type of "Groundhog Day" episode! Just about every
TV series I've watched recently there has been
some sort of variation of this type!!
Guest starring: Dwight Schultz(The A-Team, Star
Trek: TNG)! A
EPISODE 5: NEED(July 24, 1998):
The team gets sentenced to life in prison, again!
Meanwhile, Daniel is having the time of his life
after saving the life of a princess! A
EPISODE 6: THOR'S CHARIOT(July 31, 1998):
The team head back to Cimmeria, the planet where Teal'c
was first met by the team!! Here they(well most of them)
meet Thor and the Asgaard!! A
EPISODE 7: MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE(Aug. 07, 1998):!
The team brings home an atifact from another planet
and it promptly attacks Jack! A
EPISODE 8: FAMILY(Aug. 14, 1998):
Teal'c's son is taken by Apophos and the team go
to try to get him back! Oh, and Teal'c's wife
has divorced him and taken another!
A horrible episode! DD
EPISODE 9: SECRETS(Aug. 21, 1998):
This is really F-ed up! Daniel and Teal'c go through
the gate back to Abydos where they discover Sha'ra
and that she is pregnant! Meanwhile Jack and the
General are in Washington to get an award! A
EPISODE 10: BANE(Sept. 25, 1998):
Teal'c gets bugged, and it's really changing him! A
EPISODE 11: THE TOK'RA(PART 1)(Oct. 02, 1998):
The bottom line is that the Tok'ra are the resistance
arm of the Gau'old, and the one that Sam had insider
her was part of that group! She is picking up memories
of what he was going through just before his death! A
EPISODE 12: THE TOK'RA(PART 2)(Oct. 11, 1998):
Continued from the previous episode!
Guest staring here is Sarah Douglas(Babylon 5 episode
"Deathwalker", Superman, Superman II)! A
EPISODE 13: SPIRITS(Oct. 23, 1998):
The crew, minus Col. O'Neill(with two lls) who was
injurred just before the mission! The mission is to
make a treaty with the indiginous peoples of the new
world that they have found for some "trinium", an ore
that is prevelant on their planet!! A
EPISODE 14: TOUCHSTONE(Oct. 30, 1998):
On a planet relying on a weather machine to keep their
planet from destroying itself has its machine stolen
and SG1 is tasked to find it! Also going on: someone's
lost a Stargate!!!! A
EPISODE 15: THE FIFTH RACE(Jan. 22, 1999):
The crew find a device on an off world and when
Jack looks at it closely, it graps him and does
something to him that makes him seem to start
talking gibberish!! So he winds up on and Asgardian
planet! A-
EPISODE 16: A MATTER OF TIME(Jan. 29, 1999):
The whole Stargate complex is being affected by a
black hole on another planet through the Stargatae! A-
EPISODE 18: HOLIDAY(Feb. 05, 1999):
On another new planet(of course) the group encounter
a new friend and a strange machine, which winds up
switching Daniel's identity with the new friend!! A
EPISODE 17: SERPENT'S SONG(Feb. 12, 1999):
The group captures a gravely injurred Apophis! A
EPISODE 19: ONE FALSE STEP(Feb. 19, 1999):
The group goes to a planet where the inhabitants don't
speak, and they all suddenly start falling quite ill! A
EPISODE 20: SHOW AND TELL(Feb. 26, 1999):
A young boy shows up at the facility when he come through
the Stargate, along with his "mother"! And also showing
up are a new threat to the humans on Earth! A
EPISODE 21: 1969(Mar. 05, 1999):
The team gets waylaid to 1969 because of a solar
flare!! A
EPISODE 22: OUT OF MIND(Mar. 12, 1999):
At the start of the episode, Jack awakes from a
deep freeze(criogenics)!
As with last season, this last episode is a recap one,
where happenings from the last two seasons are shown!
Guest starring: Armin Shimmerman(Star Trek: DS9)!!
Last episode of the season!
Another fucking cliffhanger!! D

From an IMDb.com customer:
I love this series, and every one of the Stargate
series. I started watching in season 7, but quickly
went back and binged every episode on DVD (netflix
wasn't a thing yet). I now own all of SG1 and SGA.
I've watched every episode of SG1 at least 5 times,
SGA about 3 times, and SGU about twice. I think
I'm pretty much obsessed with this series. - captjack-29256
