STARGATE - SG-1 SEASON 3(1997)
After the movie did so well, the powers that be decided
what the heck, let's try doing a TV show! They couldn't
get either Kurt Russell or James Spader, so they went
out and got RDA & Michael Shanks(a fairly uknown actor)
to take their places! It was a great choice!! Let's face
it, Richard Deen Anderson was already an icon on TV with
MacGyver, and this did nothing but solidify his place as
a TV icon!
Along with them are Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge
and together(for most of the series) make a wonderful team,
with great stories and very good F/X! This is a great series!
Incedibly hard to do, to follow up the excellent movie with
more excellence, but somehow they did it!
EPISODE 1: INTO THE FIRE(June 25, 1999):
Continuing from the last episode of Season 2, wherein
the group are vastly out gunned and out manned! I'm not
a fan of all-powerful beings and the lesser beings having
no chance of survival! This is that story! D
EPISODE 2: SETH(July 02, 1999):
The guys go in after a cult leader who's also a
Goa'uld!! A-
EPISODE 3: FAIR GAME(July 09, 1999):
The Asgardians are trying to set up a negotiation
with the system lords for a treaty to protect Earth! A
EPISODE 4: LEGACY(July 16, 1999):
After encountering a Goa'uld device, Daniel appears
to be going nuts!!! B
EPISODE 5: LEARNING CURVE(July 23, 1999):
An interesting episode wherein the wisdom of
inerfering with the developement of an alien
race! The crew come upon a race where children
are filled with nanites when they are born so
they can learn quickly, then pass that knowledge
on to everyone else! Problem is once the information
is shared, the original owner of the nanites looses
all knowledge of what they had learned! A+
EPISODE 6: POINT OF VIEW(July 30, 1999):
Another alternate world story! A
EPISODE 7: DEADMAN SWITCH(Aug. 06, 1999):!
The crew have a price on their head, and of course
there's always a bounty hunter out there somewhere!!
While not Earth-shattering, this is pretty fun!
Guest starring: Sam J. Jones(Flash Gordon)! A
EPISODE 8: DEMONS(Aug. 13, 1999):
The team wind up on a planet that mirrors midevil
Earth with the whole team in jeopardy of death!! C
EPISODE 9: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT(Aug. 20, 1999):
The team encounter another team, SG11, in a firefight
and try to help them, only to have them turn the tables
on them and take them out! B
EPISODE 10: FOREVER IN A DAY(Oct. 08, 1999):
This is, to me, probably the worst episode I've
had the misfortune to watch!! If someone was
killing me, I would not justify those actions,
no matter how much I loved them! D
EPISODE 11: PAST AND PRESENT(Oct. 15, 1999):
On a world where the inhabitants have all lost their
memories, SG1 discover that they may have been the
instigators of their problems!! They fear that the
female that they find is Lanea(the killer of planets)!
Guest staring here is Jason Gray-Stanford(Monk)! A
EPISODE 12: JOLINAR'S MEMORIES(Oct. 22, 1999):
Sam's father has been captured and is in Hell!!
And of course the team go to Hell to save him and
possibly others!
Another stupid two part episode, though it doesn't
say anything about that!!! I hate multi-part episodes! D
EPISODE 13: THE DEVIL YOU KNOW(Oct. 29, 1999):
Don't you just love it when they kill off a character
then keep bringing them back! I DON'T!!!! D-
EPISODE 14: FOOTHOLD(Nov. 05, 1999):
SG1 returns home to find that they, and everyone
else at the compound have been replaced by aliens! A
EPISODE 15: PRETENSE(Jan. 21, 2000):
SG1 are invited to a triad to detemine who should
be legally in control of Skaara's body, but there's
a lot more than that going on!! A-
EPISODE 16: URGO(Jan. 28, 2000):
The team goes to a "deserted tropical paradise",
but end up right back where they started!, with
a new "friend"!!
Guest starring: Dom Delouise and his son Peter who
also directed this episode! A
EPISODE 18: A HUNDRED DAYS(Feb. 04, 2000):
The team are on a planet that experiences a "fire
rain" on a continueous basis, and one just happens
to hit while thay are there! This, of course, is a
meteor shower that's getting closer and closer to
the planet!! A
EPISODE 17: SHADES OF GREY(Feb. 11, 2000):
The team returns to the planet from the episode
"Pretense" to try to work out a trade with them
to help them out!! They get nothing, so O'Neill
takes things into his own hands, litterally!!! A
EPISODE 19: NEW GROUND(Feb. 18, 2000):
The crew wind up on a planet in a civil(this word
is terribly missused! There is nothing civil about
any war!!!) war! Not a fan of war stories! C-
EPISODE 20: MATERNAL INSTINCT(Feb. 25, 200):
The team go on a hunt for Harcesis on a planet
here-to-for unknown to the Stargate group! A
EPISODE 21: CRYSTAL SKULL(Mar. 03, 2000):
NOPE, Indiana Jones does NOT appear in this! But
the crew ARE after a crystal skull that Daniel says
is just like the one that his grandfather found in
the seventies!!! A
EPISODE 22: NEMISIS(Mar. 10, 2000):
While headed to a vacation O'Neill gets shanhaid
by Thor who has some really bad news! The ship he's
is infested with Replicators(little mechanical bugs
that, well, replicate themselves by ingesting technology
around them! Oh, and the ship is in orbit around Earth!!!
Last episode of the season!
Another fucking cliffhanger!! B

series. I started watching in season 7, but quickly
went back and binged every episode on DVD (netflix
wasn't a thing yet). I now own all of SG1 and SGA.
I've watched every episode of SG1 at least 5 times,
SGA about 3 times, and SGU about twice. I think
I'm pretty much obsessed with this series. - captjack-29256
